+ -1 moreExcellent as always - he is very knowledgeable about AC and his prices are very reasonable. We will continue to use him as long as he keeps working! We've used him for over 25 years in two different houses and trust his opinion completely.
Description of Work: Jeff had been doing our AC repairs for over 25 years. When we first moved into our townhome and the AC went, one repairman said the unit was no good, we'd have to replace it. Called Jeff and it fixed it for $75! Our AC went out this Sunday in our new house and Jeff came early Monday and fixed it in no time.

Description of Work: He replaced my central heat unit on a Saturday morning. Jeff always comes right out and does repairs at that time, if he can. He also put freon in my AC and it's cooling just fine. He's a one man operation so his prices are low because he has little overhead.

+ -1 moreJeff did a great job. He is a no-nonsense A/C guy who is interested in the customer getting the best value for the money. Jeff didn't try to sell us a bunch of stuff we didn't need, and he helped us understand what was important to replace now and what we could safely wait on replacing. The install was completed in one long day, and the units he installed are working well. We got multiple bids for this work and the Ackles price was by far the best (not for the same equipment brands).
Description of Work: Replaced two evaporator coils and two condenser units

Description of Work: Jeff is a professional. We needed to replace our downstairs unit, Jeff came over assessed the situation and I requested he provide 3 options. He did and suggested the mid range one based on his experience with it and having that unit in his own home.

+ -1 moreJeff came out and we looked everything over. It wasn't long and we both had a game plan that was acceptable to both of us. He stayed in contact and told me how everything was progressing. He showed up yesterday like he said he would and installed the new unit inside in our mezzanine and the compressor outside. He is coming back today to install an additional return air that we both thought would make the new unit work better. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, honesty, and quality.
Description of Work: Very professional and fast response. Did everything he said he would do and the new unit is working very well. Also kept us from spending on new duct work when our old duct work is still good. All the others wanted to replace everything and I knew our duct work was good because it is galvanized metal. Jeff knew that immediately and never stumbled over it. Also the installation work is good.

+ -1 morePerfect. Air flow is now much greater than it was with old duct work. Took care of city permits and inspections.
Description of Work: Created new plenum , attached new duct work to plenum, run new duct work to rooms. Plenum had to be created in existing tight space and eliminate existing wiring from plenum. Created return air plenum and attached duct to AC/heater.

+ -1 moreHe is very honest and straightforward. He doesn't try to rip you off. He could rip you off but he doesn't. He cleaned up after himself and he is professional. He checked the units to make sure they were kicking on correctly. He is great and he almost gives too much information. He runs late sometimes but he will call you.
Description of Work: He replaced an evaporator core in my air conditioning system. He did two units for me.
