Description of Work: covered Porch, fence and some finish out work

Description of Work: I hired Steve Zinn to remodel my bathroom. It had subfloor damage and I wanted to tile in the previous sides of a fiberglass shower/bath combo. I told Steve I would like to try and salvage the tub if possible, but if it wasn't we could tile in the entire thing and just do a walk in shower. A job that was supposed to take 3 days ended up taking 5 because the flu was going around and his guys were calling in sick. Not a big deal. Out of the five days, I only saw Steve there twice the first four days, and then apparently he finished everything himself the 5th day... I was out of town so I can't confirm or deny. At first glance the bathroom looked great. Then, a couple days later when I came home from working out of town I noticed a few in consistencies. The tile on the floor is slightly crooked. The grout in the shower isn't very even. But overall, I was and still am content with the aesthetics. That's really just nitpicking; nothing is ever going to be perfect. The two things I had issue with were 1) the fact that when they put the fiberglass (or plastic I guess) tub back in, there is nothing cushioning it from the joists in the floor. It creeks and bends even louder than before. You can literally feel where the floor joists are when you're standing in the shower. It's extremely unpleasant. 2) due to a miscommunication, when it was time to deliver the final check I messed up on my end and didn't put the check in my mailbox like he though I would. The job was mostly finished Saturday and the following Monday Steve send me a barrage of insulting text messages about me failing to put the check in the mailbox. He called out my character and was extremely aggressive. I was beyond insulted and it was wildly unprofessional. Not even one business day had passed. Furthermore, the job wasn't even completely finished when he went off on me for not leaving the final check in my mailbox for him to pick up; his crew put my sink handles in backwards and they still had to come back and fix it. But he insisted I pay him and then he would come back and fix the sink the next day. Against my better judgement I paid him the final installment. I had to hound him about coming back to finish the bathroom and finally, two weeks later he sent his guys to fix it. I confronted Steve about everything I was unhappy with after his texts to me regarding the check miscommunication. He said the tub was cheap and it wasn't their fault it creaks. From my perspective, it would have been nice if they communicated with me the shower was still so uncomfortably unstable. To replace subfloor in a 3 ft by 4 ft area and to tile the floor and the sides of the bathtub was $2,300. I made it clear if the tub wasn't going to work I would pay extra to tile the shower floor. In the end, Steve apologized for his texts messages and he expressed his regret that I wasn't happy. He didn't take responsibility for the tub part, he blamed it on miscommunication on my part which really further upset me. He's the contractor... it's his responsibility to keep his clients updated on progress. Overall, I think Steve is a good man. However, I am disappointed with the overall renovation. The entire point of it was to fix the stability of the tub when showering and it's worse now than before. I would give a C+, but that's not an option so to be nice I'll give a B. If I knew then what I know now I probably would have still hired Steve, but I would have been more aggressive about the work getting done right. I truly felt like I got walked all over (as most women do when they hire a contractor for the first time). I will not use Steve again due to the way things were left, but I do wish him and his future clients the best.

Description of Work: The contractor stopped by each day and his men showed up and did good work. My only complaint was they stopped each day early around 2PM but the new addition was completed on time.
