Services we don't offer
University Homes does not offer individualized services like roofing, painting, plumbing, electrical work, etc. but rather operates as a general contractor when multiple specialties are involved.
Description of Work: We renovated a family room, added a bonus room, relocated a bedroom closet, wood floors, installed patio doors, kitchen cabinet, installed appliances, electrical, and some carpeting. I would highly recommend Steve to any one considering a home renovation. He is extremely professional, true to his word, and does quality work. He not only stands behind his work, but addressed small problems quickly and efficiently. Somehow, he even kept me on budget!

Steve, owner of University Homes, was one of 2 contractors recommended to me when we decided to remodel our kitchen. I got bids from both, plus another contractor I found on Angie's List. Steve's bid was in the middle but I liked his honesty and advice (and the fact that he was recommended by a friend) so we went with him. I had heard horror stories about contractors so I probably drove Steve crazy at the beginning with questions and micromanaging the project. But as it went along, I realized that he was following through on everything I expected (and more), and the quality of his work was very good, so I began to relax a little. Steve was easy to get hold of most of the time, even though he was very busy. He was patient with our questions and concerns. And, most importantly, his work was well done -- very good quality -- and it was completed on time. We were extremely happy with his work -- and the work of all the workers and craftsmen he uses. Our kitchen looks fantastic!
Description of Work: Tore out the wall between kitchen and family room, gutted kitchen, raised beams in attic to eliminate a column and header that ran along the ceiling, built new cabinets, installed new kitchen appliances, installed tile, installed new lighting, and painted.
