The 3 projects planned were installation of a roof over my existing deck, installation of pavers for an extra seating area, and installation of LED lights to illuminate transition from deck to pavers (which was a step down). Communication with Rob was very slow. It on average took 1 to 2 weeks for him to respond to e-mails, and several days to a week to respond to phone messages. The installation of the roof was done by one set of contractors and I will say that this was the one installation what was performed as discussed, without a hitch once the installation began. Rob's initiative towards communication with me about start dates, times, etc., was, however, poor. I was the one who constantly tried to contact him via telephone or e-mail to get information. The installation of the pavers was done by another contractor and was very shoddily done. The day I got home to see the installation of the pavers I immediately e-mailed Rob telling that I was not happy with the finished product. The pavers were flaking just from the contractors walking on them and the gravel/cement grout did not look professionally done. As the weekend progressed and I was walking on them the flaking of the pavers got worse. Large and small pieces were flaking off the tops of the pavers. It took over a week for Rob to respond to my e-mail and he said that the LED lights were in and that he would be over the next week to assess the pavers and install the lights. The next week came and went and Rob did not follow through with his promise to install the lights and look at the pavers. I heard absolutely nothing from him for a few weeks. I had to re-initiate the communication with him about what he was going to do about the pavers (which were still flaking) and the lights. I at this point was very angry about the total lack of communication and the fact that obviously a customer's satisfaction were not a priority for him. About 1 to 2 weeks later I got an e-mail that posed what I saw as a weak attempt to apologize and a promise that he would be by to "seal" the pavers and install the lights the next week. He said that he would come by the house and just call me at work and let me know when he would be there so I could give him the gate combination to let him in. At no time did he indicate that he would like to meet with me to assess the pavers, discuss a solution, etc. I e-mailed him back and said that that was unacceptable because (1) I wanted information about what he saw and the options about solutions prior to just jumping in trying to solve something that he had not even visually assessed, and (2) I have a large dog that has access to the backyard during the day and I did not want him getting out of the yard, or even walking on pavers that he might be "sealing". I needed notice so I could board him for the day. Again, I did not receive a response back from him for about 2 weeks. At that time I again got a weak apology, and the promise that he would be at my house the next Saturday. At this point I just cancelled the remainder of my use of his services. Too many false promises and poor communication. In my opinion customer satisfaction is not a priority! Rob made promises that he consistently did not keep. And his communication is very poor. I was the one who constantly had to initiate the correspondence, asking about times and dates of installation, following up on getting him back in to assess the problems, finish the installation of the lights, etc., etc., etc. Although I do acknowledge that the finished product of the roof is exactly what I wanted and was installed by that contractor very professionally, all the other problems that I had to deal with with Rob totally out weighs that satisfaction. I would absolutely not use him again, or even recommend any of his services. (And, I made all of these views available to Rob during my multiple e-mails, so this review should absolutely not be a shock to him.)
Description of Work: Installed a roof over existing patio and installed pavers (this step was not completed). Did not complete the light installation.

HE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT. HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, GREAT IDEAS, SEES YOUR WHOLE BACKYARD AND COMES UP WITH GREAT PLANS.
Description of Work: LANDSCAPED ENTIRE BACKYARD, PLANTED 5 TREES, MULTIPLE BUSHES AND VARIOUS OTHER THINGS ON A 1/4 OF AN ACRE. HE DID QUITE A LOT OF WORK.
