Contacted Tri Cities Plumbing to come out for an estimate to replace old bathroom fixtures, plus check the pressure relief valve to the house. Ken arrived on time, very professional. He checked the relief valve and said everything looked good to him and no work needed. To replace the bathroom fixtures was going to require quite a bit of work and he would have to cut into the wall to reach the inside plumbing. He discussed another option of just replacing the trim and working parts and not the entire fixture itself so he would not have to cut into the wall. I opted to just replace the trim and am very happy with the outcome and NOT having to do major wall repair. Plus, I appreciate Ken's honesty in not doing work (relief valve) that I didn't need to have done. The first trip out he didn't charge me as I needed to yet purchase the trim kit, so it required him to make a 2nd trip once I had all the materials (which I purchased myself at Faucet Parts in Arlington). That is an honest plumber! Plumbing cost $255 for 2 hours, not including the fixtures/trim kit which I purchased separately.
Description of Work: Replacement of bathroom tub/shower fixtures.

Ken (owner of Tri-Cities Plumbing) and his helper repaired the gas leak in about 5 minutes by adding pipe tape to the joint. The previous plumber had forgotten to use a sealant on the gas pipe joint when installing a new water heater and we could smell the gas leak in our garage. Tri-Cities Plumbing is listed in the Phone Book and Angie's List as being nearby to our home in Hurst, TX, but they have recently moved to Haslet, TX 76052, and we are now on the outer edge of their service area. Ken seems to be a very competent plumber and we will likely use him in the future when the need arises.
Description of Work: Tri-Cities Plumbing repaired a gas line leak that had been created by another plumber when installing a new water heater a few months ago.

Punctual, professional, polite, and efficient - which is everything we look for in a service provider. We would use Tri-Cities again. The reason we called this company - back in January 2010, there was a freeze in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our kitchen pipes had partially frozen and we could not get them unblocked. We called a company with an A rating on Angie's' List, left a message on their emergency line, and received no phone call back over the course of two hours. So we found Tri-Cities in the phone book, called, and got a live person. With thousands of homes affected, they agreed to come out within 2 hours. During that two hours, the pipes finally unblocked, and when we called back to cancel the service call, Tri-Cities kept us on the line and had us go through some steps to make sure we didn't have a leak from the freezing/unfreezing. We appreciated that over the phone service, and made a note to contact them for future service. Our experience with Ken on this actual call met our expectations - and we have high expectations.
Description of Work: We had a toilet that filled very slowly and would not shut off as well, along with a weird noise coming from one of the sinks in that bathroom. The owner, Ken Smith, came out and cleaned out the line to the toilet and replaced every part from the wall into the tank. The weird noise was apparently from A/C condensation in a pipe near the sink, and he told us just to watch the A/C overflow pipe for any future leaks. Ken also gave us a ballpark estimate on replacing our hot water heater in the attic, discussing the cost differences between regular heaters and tankless - this is a future project.

It went very well, overall. We already knew we would get good treatment because we were referred to them by my father. They were very easy to work with in terms of them working while we weren't here. They were good at explaining the different problems and scenarios that might arrive. We got what we expected. They got us on the schedule within a few days, and the work was done quickly. They cleaned up the mess afterwards. We didn't check around so we weren't able to compare the pricing. The jobs were expensive, but that was to be expected.
Description of Work: We had two slab leaks and a mainline leak in the yard.

They are a very professional company. They did a nice job and he came when he said he would. He cleaned up really good and the price covered all of the equipment and labor also. They were reasonable priced and the work they did for me was really good. I liked dealing with the company and they were very detailed in their statements.
Description of Work: They installed a 50 gallon gas water heater and removed the old one. They also put in 2 bathroom sinks and 2 faucets and installed the kitchen faucets.

VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE REGARDING CURRENT REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR HOT WATER HEATERS. CITY INSPECTOR WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK AT THE TIME OF HIS INSPECTION, SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE BETTER JOBS HE HAD SEEN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS I BELIEVE THEM TO BE FAIR, TRUSTWORTHY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
