AVOID AT ALL COSTS: SWAT plumbing came out to fix a few issues. I needed to have the flapper replaced on all my toilets and had one shower that only produced piping hot water. Unfortunately, when looking into the issue with the shower, the plumber did not reconnect the all the pipes/valves correctly which resulted in a leak. I notified SWAT plumbing of the leak. It took roughly one month before SWAT sent out a plumber to resolve the leak. As a result of the leak, I had water come through the ceiling from one floor down to the other that knocked out the electricity for a significant portion of my property. SWAT, specifically Keith, indicated that they would address the electrical issues after the leak was fixed. Since the leak has been fixed, I've contacted SWAT on four seperate occasions and they have not responded. It's been over a month and a half since the I started working with SWAT.

He also emptied the water heater to drain it which my daughter had never been told to do. He advised this procedure should be done every 3 months. Lordy, this was a mess. My Home Warranty company subcontracted with them. They were difficult to reach. scheduling was a mess (they come anytime from 8am to 7pm and give you notice when they're out at the job before lol). The plumber comes out, can't figure out how to use a gate, and then won't listen to what we need. We wanted to replace a shower faucet and the previous owner screwed up the piece (so we couldn't get it off). Seemed simple. Somehow we ended up with a hole in the wall, no progress on this being fixed, and even more damage Their plumber then lied to the home warranty compay about what he saw and did, and left out the fact that he caused additional damage. This was quite the experience and I'm thankful I can laugh at this. I would have preferred the problem to be fixed, an honest report to the home warranty company, no additional damage and no holes in my wall... but I know not to expect that from SWAT Plumbing :)

Awful experience with SWAT Plumbing. This has to be the worst low budget plumbing company ever. Our hot water heater sprung a leak, we called warranty company (AHS) and they sent out SWAT Plumbing. They assessed that we needed to replace the hot water heater, of course this wasn't covered by warranty company, so we paid them $2,000. On Thursday, we replaced hot water heater and thought everything was good, well we attempted to take a shower and the hot water last for about 3 minutes and goes to luke warm. I call SWAT on Friday, of course no one can come out until Monday. They come back out and can't find the problem, so they decide to replace the hot water heater. Mind you they have sent 2 different techs out for these services. Well, the 2nd guy comes out again without the water heater, says he didn't know anything about replacing the water heater. He arrives at the house at 10:30 am and he walks through the house at least four times with this meter that is suppose to detect leaks. I asked him the first time that he walked through, did you see any leaks he responds no. I asked him again around the third time, still no. Well he fumbles around out there with the heater and walking back and forth in the house until 3:00 and determines that we supposedly have a slab leak. A slab leak that does not show up on our water meter at all. So after going back and forth with this guy about this situation, we get the manager on the phone and we hear him say to make sure they get a new hot water heater out there. This was on Saturday. Monday comes and a totally different guy comes out. He comes out WITHOUT a new water heater. So I ask him where is the new heater, he says I wasn't aware that I was replacing a water heater. So he calls in and I hear the guy on the phone say, You're not suppose to be at that house, he says this is where dispatch sent me. So they began to talk off speaker phone as he walks to his truck. So he fumbles around for a couple of hours and my husband gets really upset, so the guy just leaves. This process began on December 2, and to this day January 11 we still have to take quick showers. This company has to be the worst ever. I would advise you not to use them!

These thieves gladly took $2000 dollars from a single income family of four. Replaced 3 feet of 2” pipe. Left a puddle of water & a giant access whole beneath foundation wall, open. Only to ignore a visible leak, on same pipe, down the line. As well as another crack in pipe inches away from that. Oh yeah these guys attached the same pipe to drain out to even further increase the puddle beneath our home. Say NO to swat plumbing, in fact call me. I just fixed all the crap swat plumbing left behind.

I subscribe to American Home Shield (AHS). They are a home warranty company. My sink clogged up so I filed a claim with AHS. They have a deductable of $125. I PAID the required $125. The first guy that they sent out said that it needed to be blasted out with a hydro jet and that this cost $275 and was not covered by AHS. The next day we called and PAID the $275 for the hydro jet upfront. They were supposed to come the next day. The next day the same guy showed up and said he FORGOT the machine, the hydro-jet blaster. He forgot it. So a day or so later a different guy comes out and tries to unclog the sink. After working on it for a little while he comes and tells us that it needs the Hydro Jet blaster and that that will cost us $275!!! He was unaware that the first guy had already hit us up with this scam and that we had already paid, and that HE was supposed to be using the hydro-jet, that was the whole reason he was here. He left quickly. The next guy that comes out is supposed to be a "manager". He was so old he could barely get around and even look at the problem. He banged around for a bit and then said that "IT CAN'T BE FIXED". He said that the hydro jet would flood the house if he tried to use it and that my clogged sink just couldn't be fixed at all. But they DID offer financing and for $2200.00 he could re-route the entire line. WHAT?!? This is a mobile home. There is nothing that difficult about mobile home plumbing. It's just that I'm older and unable to get down there and look at it. That's why I had the warranty. So I asked them about my $275.00 for the hydro jet thing that they NEVER used. They should refund my money since they never did that work. The old man that was the "manager" said that they had tried to unstop it and that was $275 since they came out 3 times. I said, no, that is warranty work and I paid both my monthly warranty payment and I paid the $125 deductible and THAT covered his work. Plainly says it in the receipt.

Worse than bad .home warranty sent them out . Have a hot water heater in the attic and because there is also a support board in front of the heater and ac air ducts, it’s a difficult job apparently. They took pictures and scheduled the install on Friday . Temps in the low twenties. Told me I had to have ac company disconnect the air ducts . They did not show as scheduled so I went all day and night with the low temps . Then showed only to tell me they can’t move the board , I would have to hire someone else to do so then they would come back . I told them to refund my money . The communication between them is ridiculous. Had I been told I could have had everything done first . So now I am out the service call to the warrant co and over $500 dollars to ac company to disconnect them reconnect the air ducts and start all over trying to get this done . I am a senior citizen and these extra expenses were not in my budget . I definitely would not recommend them . Unless you aren’t in a hurry and it’s a very simple job . Oh and you have to pay half first .

We were very disappointed with this company. They were assigned to our issue by American Home Shield. The first technician came out and told us he would need to talk to his manager and provide pictures for a replacement water heater and that I should hear back in a day or two. I followed up daily and was told “the ticket hasn’t been pushed through.” After a week, I was finally told that they could put in a new heater, but they only had two technicians that do this job and they wouldn’t be in our area until the following Friday. When they did finally install the water heater, they installed one that was not compatible with the electrical box, creating another out of pocket expense to upgrade the ampage and wiring. The electrician (different company) showed me the manual that came with the water heater and pointed out numerous models that would have been compatible. SWAT failed attention to detail and did not replace the existing unit with a compatible unit. On top of that, they scratched the counter top. I have not heard back about the damage done to the counter top and all they offered for the wrong unit is “oh no, I’m so sorry.”

Company finally came out 4 days after sewage line blockage on a newly purchased house. Plumber stated, after 10 minutes & with no camera work/visual confirmation, that the pipe was broken & gave me a quote that was double what my second opinion (who did camera confirmation) gave. He was pushy & said I’d have to give half of his nearly $6,000 repair quote to do any work. Stated HOW would not cover more than $1,000 (he was right there). I requested clearing of clog & he responded “I can’t promise it won’t be clogged again tomorrow”. 2nd opinion took pictures (of fully clogged pipe) that I couldn’t even see a hole poked through from this place. It surely would have back up again within days. Bad response time, not empathetic to the situation, pushy for sales, dismissive & did not do the work that I’m supposed to pay a deductible for.

My water heater stopped producing Hot Water continuously. I would have to reset my pilot every day. I researched solutions to this problem, and majority said 'thermocouple' needed to be replaced. I used Swat Plumbing before w/my Bathroom sink so decided to use the company again. I contacted my Warranty program to initiate a service call, and requested Swat. I received a quick response from the company re: setting up an appt. Technician came out 12/22 and assessed the problem. He advised I needed a new valve. I thought, not a thermocouple, but he was the technician. He ordered the part, and the part was replaced the next week (Friday) 12/29. I had hot water for the rest of the day, but later realized the next day, only because the pilot had been re-lit along w/the installation of the new part. The next day, the hot water still wasn't working. I contacted Swat Plumbing re: the problem and left a message; even though the day was Saturday, I expected to speak w/someone since their advertisement says Open 24hrs; however, I didn't receive any response. I contacted them again on Monday, and discussed the problem wasn't fixed. I was told to contact the Warranty Program for a recall service visit. I contacted my Warranty Program, requested a recall visit, and Swat Plumbing came back out that Friday 1/5. The technician advised the issue may be the "thermocouple" and if not then the whole unit would need to be replaced. He changed the thermocouple, and I finally have continuous daily Hot Water.

Hired SWAT through contract with Landmark HW. Plumber came out 3 separate times to attempt to fix a toilet that wouldn't flush solid waste. Attempt #1: Replaced the ballast in the toilet tank, said it was "a low flow issue". Toilet flushed once and he left. A day later, flushing problems began again. Attempt #2: Augered the drain and told me that the line was cleared. Attempt #3: (After EXCESSIVE battles with Landmark HW - who apparently only cover one drain stopapge per contract - despite not clearing the first one) Same plumber came out, obviously annoyed that he was still dealing with this same issue. (Yeah, I hear ya.) He augered the line again, and when he could not get a clean flush, told me that the toilet was the problem, and that manufacturer's warranty would have to cover. POST-OP: I called a new plumber outside my warranty and they found a piece of pipe debris (probably a knockout valve there since the house was built) in the pipe and were able to clear it by hand. It was acting as a ballast, allowing water to pass, but slowly. The toilet now works perfectly. Not only did SWAT Plumbing incorrectly assess the issue, or put a good faith effort to actually fix it, they prematurely marked the issue "solved" even knowing there were problems, and did less than minimal effort to follow up to make sure I was satisfied with the service. I will not be using SWAT Plumbing in the future (try Ernie's Plumbing!) and have ALSO cancelled my useless home warranty which contracts out to SWAT.

Had a leak in an upstairs bathroom that manifested itself in the roof of a lower bedroom. I called my home warranty guys who sent SWAT out. The plumber arrived and looked at my issue. Told me it was due to faulty tile work and shower run over. His suggestion was either to replace the tile work or he could cut a hole in the wall to see where the leak was but he was certain that it was the tile work. I didn't want to do that so he left I fixed the tile work. The leak came back so I called a plumber that I trusted and was fine paying out of pocket. Turns out it was just the valve in the downspout that was leaking. The plumber diagnosed it in 5 seconds and showed me the issue in 30 seconds without cutting anything. Basically I spend $75 with SWAT for them to give me bogus advice and a suggestion to tear out my tile work or cut a wall. Very dissapointed.

Plumber had come out under American Home shield Warranty but denied the claim because flanges broke due to poor installation, not defect. He scheduled repair for 2 days later and completed the job. SWAT never mentioned to me that they offered a 15% Senior Discount. American Homeshield asked if I received the 15% Senior Discount, which was the first I heard of it, and I called SWAT to find out why I didn't get it. They tried every excuse as to why I didn't get it that they could think of but finally settled on that I has to ask for it before I paid with my credit card! CROOKS!

Through American Home Shield, we were connected to SWAT. They called within a few hours of us submitting a request to AHS. They then scheduled a visit within a day and half. They contacted us before the technician showed up (phone, text, and email) with the approximate time and technician's name (Jason). Jason quickly diagnosed the problem, got approval from AHS to make the repair, and then had to go back to his base to get a part, and then fixed it. He apologized for the amount of time he took in driving to/from his base to get the part (it was an hour away).

Due to a leak in the bathroom sink pipe, I contacted American Home Shield for a repair. AHS contacted SWAT plumbing, and Michael was sent out from SWAT. Micheal arrived on time, had no problem with my request for shoe covers, and went to work assessing the pipe leak. He advised the pop up needed to be replaced, and contacted AHS with his final assessment. AHS advised they wouldn't cover the pop up due to the way the pipe was broken. Michael provided me with the out of pocket cost to fix the pop up ($300). Micheal's visit required a mandatory $75 service call fee (via AHS). Michael called SWAT Plumbing front office to charge the payment to my credit card, but the front office lady kept putting him on hold. Michael would hang up, call back, and she would put him back on hold. This continued for another 2-3 times. Finally Micheal (frustrated) left and advised for me to make the $75 service fee cost prior to having any other work done. Michael left, and shortly there after the Front Office called asking to obtain the service call fee. Also, I asked if the repair could be done the following Tuesday, and to provide me with a general time to expect the plumber. The front office informed me they couldn't give me a general time frame for when the plumber would arrive b/c they don't know the appointment times until close of the business day the night before. This was frustrating b/c I was trying to work around their schedule as well as organize my work schedule for Tuesday. And since they wouldn't give me a time frame, I had to schedule for the work to be done the following Friday instead of Tuesday.

We made use of SWAT for and issue at our house and was extremely pleased with how things went and how professional Michael the plumber was. This was not the case with our current experience at my Mother in Laws house. I called and setup an appointment for a plumber to come out and install a double way clean out system. I was already given a quote over the phone and agreed to it. Kimberly didn't tell me that for the appointment I made I was only getting a plumber out to come and mark the area, I was under the impression that everything was going to be done for the appointment that was made. The appointment was for Thursday, he came and was very professional and with that he tells me that he can't do anything till he receive the deposit which was half $600. So luckily I ask him when he will be done and if it's only going to be him, he told me he was just there to mark out the area. This is a first, and on top of that nothing is being done but as per their protocol they need to collect the deposit for markings on the lawn. I called the office and yes at this point my patience was through the roof! Spoke with Kimberly again, only this time she has a horrible attitude towards me and makes me feel like we are thieves and get the job done and not pay a thing. Well how am I suppose to trust after paying them the first $600 that they will show up the next day? She was very unprofessional and entitled over the phone and constantly told me that it wasn't her job to talk me through everything, wow thanks for going the extra mile Kimberly. I'd like to remind her that I am the customer! Stephen the plumber could see that I was just floored by this behavior from Kimberly and requested that I only contact him and not deal with the office. He left his personal cell number. Friday morning comes a long and we have an excavation crew outside 8am. Very pleased to see that they didn't take the money and ran. But all that was done was a big hole. I started calling Stephen just to find out it was his day off. He still assured me the the install crew is finishing a job and I'm next. This was 11am and they didn't show up till 3pm. The guys was all very nice and pleasant but came unprepared equipment wasn't working properly, didn't have the right parts because of miscommunications. The list goes on. They didn't finish till around 5:30pm. I asked Jason about the hole and when that would be filled up. He told me that he was going to get that scheduled and they would be out Saturday morning. So the job is not really done but according to them they are finished when installation is done and expect you to pay the rest before and excavation team comes out to fill the hole up again. We paid the other $600, which I regret now since no excavation team showed up today, Saturday. This company will never see my business again! Sorry for the fine plumbers that still has to pick the slack up caused by the office!

They are completely unprofessional. A tech came out (we were directed to them through American Home Shield) but did NOT do anything because nothing in the house was overflowing at the time. We had a friend/pluimber come out the night before and he blew out the line for free but said we MUST get a plumber to clear the line of what is probably tree roots (his company is not with American Home Shield so we could not use him unfortunately). SWAT still charged us the $75 service fee for nothing! My husband and myself called them to inquire- the person who answered treated us very poorly and just said "we still have to pay our people". She insisted that they could do nothing because there was nothing overflowing. I asked if they could at least look at the sewer line because I don't want this happening again- we have sewage in our master bathroom and closet which is carpeted. I have contacted American Home Shield about this incident and they are to call SWAT and have them come out to perform the service they were supposed to. We will see what happens. DO NOT USE SWAT PLUMBING!

My water heater started leaking on Saturday so I called the home warranty company. They had SWAT call me on Monday. SWAT said they'd come out on Wed since I wouldn't be available on Tuesday. I asked them if I could have them out as early as possible since I work for myself and didn't want to have to cancel any of my appointments. They said someone would be out between 8am-11am. On Wednesday I had to call the office at 10:40am since I hadn't heard from them and they said he was on his way. After I cancelled my client I wanted to see at noon, I finally got a text message saying he was in his way. He showed up about 5 minutes later. (Online it says other people also got an email with a photo of their plumber, but I didn't.) Wheb he got there, he took a few pictures and said he'd be back in a coupl days to replace the water heater. I asked him if it could be on Friday that would be great since I usually don't see clients in Friday's. He called the office and filled out paperwork and when I signed for what I had to pay for he assured me they would be out on Friday with my new water heater. On Thursday I called them to make sure what time they would come out. They said they wouldn't be and I wasn't on the schedule. It wouldn't be until sometime the following week before they could come out. I asked them to come Monday morning as early as possible and they agreed. On Saturday, I was told they would come out on Monday between 11am and 3pm. I explained to them I have to work and asked if they can come earlier. They said no and didn't offer any other times. I asked them to come out on Friday since I will not have any clients then. I'll never use these people again. They will be out on Friday to install the water heater and I'll let you know what happens.

Description of Work: They checked the stopped up toilet and fixed it. They also advised the plunger isn't designed for our toilets so we may want to look at a new one.

I thought I had a leak so I called my insurance I have on my house and they sent them out. I had a leak and they came and determined it wasn't a leak but something else is going on. They ended up replacing the pipe for me because it was all outdated and needed to replaced. It worked. The guy was wonderful, very professional, very friendly and 100% wonderful. I've got their card and I'm gonna use them again if I need anything.
Description of Work: I used SWAT Plumbing.

We got a diagnosis (AHS paid for service call plus authorized $330 charge to run a camera) and a quote for the repair (replace p-trap under tub) of $3700. A plumber who does not contract with AHS charges $1500-$1800.
Description of Work: Mark from SWAT Plumbing came to provide a second opinion for American Home Shield. He diagnosed the problem and submitted $330 in charges to AHS. When I called SWAT to ask about the charges, the manager was extremely snotty and couldn't quote a price per hour/service, saying it varies by the job. The charge that is coming out of our cash out offer is equivalent to $210/hr.

Response from SWAT Plumbing LLC
[Member name removed] we came out and did service for you on December 5, 2014 we replaced a 4" frost proof hose bib on the left side of home towards the front yard we also informed you before we even did the work that we were not responsible for putting back the wall once we had replaced that frost proof hose bib and we certainly do not replace any brick, we are a plumbing company. We did inform you of this and you have this on your copy of your invoice that clearly states that. I am so sorry that you are unhappy with our service, but we did complete the job you paid us for and wanted.
