Southern Painting Fort Worth

The first try was not to my satisfaction by a long shot. Contacted Mr. Ward, the owner, and the next morning he and a five-man crew were on site at 8 AM. First of all, he suggested some new colors while the crew did prep, got a small sample and put it up for our approval. It was a big improvement so we went with it. He then went and got paint and the crew repainted the whole den, hallway and foyer in one day. The next, the crew cleared the masking, etc. and Mr. Ward did a expert walk through, catching small details even my critical eye would have missed. They went from an "don't use" to a "first class" rating because everyone makes mistakes but few step up to make it right they way they do! I'm calling them back when we are ready for phase 2. Fabulous! I have used Southern Painting several times on two different homes and each time I have been impressed with the entire process. Jason Ward knows a lot about paint! He is extremely thorough and explains all the necessary details including choosing colors and type of paint. Each time I needed work done, I felt I got expert advice during the consultation and very fair pricing on the estimates. His painters are also great! They take their work seriously and it shows! Southern Painting is an absolute pleasure to do business with.

Fair. I learned after the contracting that the quote did not include the trim in the rooms or the attic entrance on the ceiling. I will know next time when I ask to have a ROOM painted, what that means. There was also overspray in the living room. They quoted (3) days but it took (5).

Over sprayed paint on the brick on front porch. Refinish of the wood front door was not performed as contracted. Many issues with quality.

Rescheduled the exterior the day before they were supposed to start. I could only communicate with one of the painters in English.

Had a door-hanger left on my door. Called and asked for an estimate. Before things went south, the people who scheduled the appointment and the follow-up calls were VERY NICE and VERY PROFESSIONAL. On the day of the estimate, received a call from Derek about 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive and he stated that he was at a job and needed to rent scaffolding for another job and would not be able to make my appointment at 10:30. I explained to him that today was the only day I had available as everyone works during the day and we were off due to the Easter holidays. He then offered to come around 5 pm. At 5:20 Derek called and said he just finished up another estimate in North Fort Worth (close to where I am located) and that he was, and I quote, "in his good dress shoes and didn't think it would be a good idea to give an estimate since it had been raining." I guess the other people that he gave an estimate to this day reaped the benefits of his good dress shoes. Another day off wasted waiting for people to show up. I'm really sad and disappointed because all of the other reviews are stellar and I just needed a professional paint job on my house and I can't even get an estimate.

Did as described for $1750; which was comparable to other estimates I received. The estimator, Derek DiPinto, was professional, on time and very personable. The paint crew did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. The cleanup was not quite as thorough as I usually do; but satisfactory. The end result was good; even though they caulked around the ceilings. This is a quicker and cheaper way; rather than carefully cut in the paint on the edge of the ceiling/wall.

In both cases the job was executed professionally, and Jason made some additional reasonable suggestions that took the finished product to the next level. We were again quite satisfied.

Jason was very professional and gave us a very detailed estimate. Anthony ensured the work was done correctly and on time. Will call again for additional painting needs.

Jason, Anthony and their crew did a fantastic job. They were in and out in a day, very efficient and professional, and left my house clean and intact. I love my new walls.

They did great. They spent the first few hours just meticulously taping and prepping the home for paint. They removed all the blinds and neatly set them aside. They removed every wall plate, switch plate, AC return and HVAC grille. Lines were immaculate. Really paid attention to detail. Only thing wrong was they dinged my fridge door when pulling it out. I was compensated fairly for that. 1 story, 2081 sqft floor plan. No trim, doors or closets.

The contract procedures and costs were spelled out exactly and the painting crew supervisor kept us apprised during the day of progress and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend.

The work went very well. They did a quality job of repairing minor settling cracks and repainted several areas. They were prompt and completed the work according to the schedule agreed upon.

Derek DiPinto responded quickly to give us an estimate that we agreed on. Even though our job was smaller, he gave us the same consideration and time as a big job would entail. We were put on the schedule quickly and several calls were made to confirm the date and time. The crew foreman, Roy, and his workers showed up promptly on time. Roy went through the entire house to make sure he would address all our issues. Derek came during this time and made sure everything was running smoothly. The crew took extra caution to make sure they didn't dirty our floors, and stair rails, baseboards, and door frames were properly taped off. Roy checked with me frequently on the Venetian plaster repairs to make sure I was satisfied. Roy and all his workers were polite, friendly, and very efficient. They matched my colors exactly and did an excellent job. They even finished earlier than projected, but the job was done perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves, and you couldn't tell they had even been there (no mess left behind.) My husband and I were very satisfied. Derek followed up a few days later by text to make sure we were happy with the job, and so did the office manager. My husband and I would definitely recommend this company for any painting needs. They did it right the first time and delivered what they promised.

Team showed up before scheduled appointment every day. House was pressure washed, prepared, primed and painted. All doors, windows and non-painted areas were tapped off and protected with paper and/or plastic sheet. At the end of each day they policed (cleaned up) the area and left everything in great shape. They are a well coordinated team and left nothing undone. I would not hesitate to use them again. I would rate this team well above the A Rating if such a rating was available. It may sound trite but this team is a collection of artists proud of their work.

Jason Ward gets high praises for the excellent job his crew did on my home. I love the new textured ceilings and the new color on the walls and bathroom cabinets. The crew worked quickly, efficiently, and were done when promised. I would recommend Southern Painting to all homeowners who are thinking of redoing the inside of their homes.

It went great. The sales rep/project manager communicated very well and followed up on everthing we talked about. The crew was very professional and approachable. After the job was complete we did a walk around with Terrance and every punch list item was addressed. The job was completed in exactly in the amount of time they said it would take. The quality of work is outstanding.? Working with contractors can be aggrevating. Working with these guys was a great experience.

It looks like they did not prep or anything under my 2 bay windows, they left old wasps nests under both of the bay windows, and they just sprayed paint over them. I found that part of the caulking they did is starting to part after just a month. They also sprayed up under my roof tiles. The windows that were supposed to be caulked were barely caulked; there is old caulk along with the new. They did not do any caulking under the bay windows which was supposed to be done. I paid for a premium paint job and nothing was up to par. The owner, Robert, threatened to take legal action against me if I leave any negative reports against them, even though I have proof of the poor quality of work that they did. All I asked for was a moderate refund for the lack of work, about $350. It hasn't even been a year yet and the paint is already splotchy. They didn't even put a cover coat on and I paid for a premium paint job.

We worked with Terrence Heaney at the Camp Bowie office. He was professional and respectful. He took time in walking around our home and seeing what needed to be done, and why it needed to be done. We had no surprises in what he recommended. He also gave us different estimates for the different projects we could have them complete. The estimate was broken down so we could see how much extra for the painting, for refinishing the front door etc. On Monday three men began cleaning the home, pressure washing etc. One man began preparing the front door to be refinished.They were here most of the day. On Tuesday, the men sanded, caulked, and further prepared for painting. As we have dormers and a steep pitch to our roof, everything seemed inaccessible without ladders. The men worked steady and were diligent at their work. At the end of Tuesday they did some taping and papering the brick/stone to protect from paint splatter. The front door was finished and the difference is quite amazing! Now we need to get a new door handle to go with the beautiful door! On Wed. the group, led by Omar, painted our trim, chimney, etc. They also stained the shutters and the dormers. Again, they worked all day. At the end of each day, they were prompt to pick-up their equipment and any paper or scraps that might have fallen on the ground. On Thursday, they were here for a few hours to complete the staining. On Friday Terrence came by and walked our home to see how the paint and stain were completed. He also came by at the start of the project and each day to see how things were going as well as to see if we had any concerns. He was easy to work with in repainting and re-staining our home. By us having both the front door and back door done, the doors were required to be open. I knew the doors would be open, and it would take a while, but I did not think that through completely in terms of our house dogs, running any errand out of the home etc. It was fine as I was schedule to be home, but it was a little unexpected in the length of time they were open. The cooler weather contributed to a slower drying time as well. It was nice that Southern Painting does not expect payment until they have completed the work. This way, we did not have to worry about them starting the job and not finishing after they were paid. We would recommend the company and Terrence as a sales/project. Omar and his team did a great job as well!

Our house is nearly 90 years old and these homes are not easy to paint. Southern Painting was very prompt, courteous and professional throughout. It was critical that our interior paint job be done during a certain time frame prior to movers coming with our furniture. We had some interior remodeling going on at the same time so it was difficult but Jason Ward and his team moved mountains to make it happen on time. Southern painting was not the lowest bid but they were lower than the best known companies that advertise on the radio and we knew they would do a superior job which they did. We just recently used them to paint our outside also and they did a great job in record time. They do great work and show up on time every time which is huge in this business. We recommend them and many of our neighbors in this area use them as they are the best in Fort Worth for sure.

The supervisor had called the day before to request an hour or so delay. But crew and supervisor arrived as planned. We had prepped the room according to the company's recommendation, so they were able to begin work immediately. The work was done quickly and very well. We were impressed with the skills of the painting crew. We would recommend Southern Painting and would use them again.

Arrived early each of the four working days and stayed until that days work was finished completely. Day one was to JoMax the entire house then power wash the entire house. Day two was to scrape, caulk, fix any and all wood and brick damage of the house and to prime the entire house. Day three was to paint the trim color on the Ranch style overhangs and gables. Day four was to paint the main body of the house the second color. All paint was Sherwin Williams. All workers were very professional and knew what to do. The Southern Painting management team was at the house most of the time as needed. Were all very careful with my flower beds and yard and did not damage anything. Beautiful paint job.
