Walked into Ridglea Watch & Repair for the first time in my life to get an estimate for a 35+ year old Benrus watch that belong to my father who passed away nearly 34 yrs ago. Keep in mind that this watch maybe cost $25 in the 1970's if even that much. It's not even a valuable watch then or the present day. It's just a sentimental piece of jewelry that belong to my deceased father. I politely went to the counter and was approached by a nice lady to tell her what service I was looking for. She took me to the watch maker who was in the middle of working on a watch and he had this not so friendly look on his face as I was explaining how the watch was simply sentimental to me and just wanted an estimate. He barley even looked at the watch while mumbling and grunted out "it will cost you a thousand dollars". I said you realize this is a cheap Benrus watch from the 70's and he replied like he didn't give a shi* " It's $1,000" and went back to work on the item he was dealing with. I was not only appauled by this guy's (found out he was the owner) attitude but was really offended by the price he quoted. He is either out of his mind, just doesn't give a shi* or both. I wear a 10 year old, $4K Rolex and was thinking about having them do the cleaning but I will never do business with Ridglea Watch & Repair. I actually took it down the street on Camp Bowie Blvd to a small time independent jeweler and it cost me a total of $210. I saved nearly 5 times or $800 what Ridglea quoted and the watch works great. Sometimes it not all about the price but customer service is most important for any business. I will never recommend his place of business to anyone I know.

They looked at everything immediately gave me idea of what price on simple repairs would be, a date they would call with rest of estimates. Called on the date specified. Put batteries in 4 watches , one old old Fossil of hubby was not worth repair. That was a Friday & I picked them all up Monday. The total price included fixing a set of earrings, 2 necklaces , 4 watches and super cleaning all.

They quoted me a price and a time that the work would be completed. All was as described.

i went in to get the back of my watch put back on. I had gone to Radio Shack and purchased a new battery. But the salesman could not get the back on. I was helped immediately upon entering the Ridglea store. Whilst the jeweler had my watch the associate cleaned my diamond rings for nothing. The jeweler did not charge me to replace the back of the watch. I will definitely go back!

I brought in 6 pieces of jewelry. Two had leather straps that needed repair, the other four were silver chains that needed soldering. The girl at the counter wasn't sure what the the two leather pieces needed, so she took them back with her to show them to the jewelers. She brought them back repaired, and I was not charged. I was really pleasantly surprised.I left the remaining four pieces of silver chain to be soldered. The estimate for $20.00 per piece and a delivery date in 5 days. When I returned to pick up my jewelry, I found that they had repaired two chains for free. They said they didn't need soldering, just very minor repair. So, I ended up getting 6 pieces of jewelry repaired for the price of two. I really appreciated the great customer service and that they didn't charge me for something they considered trivial. I will definitely be going back to Ridglea Watch & Repair!

THIS COMPANY IS WONDERFUL! ON CHRISTMAS EVE, WHILE WRAPPING PRESENTS, I NOTICED THAT THE WATCH I WAS GIVING MY NEPHEW WAS NOT RUNNING! I RUSHED OUT TO FIND A STORE WHERE I COULD REPLACE THE BATTERY. ALMOST EVERY STORE I COULD THINK OF WAS CLOSED! THE NICE FOLKS AT RIDGLEA WATCH REPAIR HAD ME IN AND OUT THE DOOR IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL! THEY WILL GET ALL MY JEWELRY REPAIR BUSINESS FROM NOW ON!
