Would hire again,

I contacted Phil of Phil's Electric Co. and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. He showed up on time and we discussed what needed to be done. Part of me deciding who to hire is not only if I feel they are capable of doing the work and offer a fair price...but if I feel the person has integrity and is honest. Phil is all of the above. He gives his professional honest opinion about the job, and from what I experienced...was right on the money. Phil gave me an estimate that came in far below the other estimates I gathered. My job was split into 2 separate days. Day 1 was the install of the lights, outlets and smoke detectors. Day 2 which was 1 1/2 weeks later, was the install of the 125amp service. Day 1 - Phils team arrived and commenced work right away. They completed all of the tasks at hand and cleaned up after themselves. My house was actually cleaner when they left! I was very impressed with the work. They did a very good job. The team worked efficiently in completing all task. Day 2 - It is the homeowners responsibility to get the power secured by the city. I called Oncor a week before and set the date. Oncor never showed so Phil and his team disconnected power and went to work. Our new breaker panel was installed and the power reconnected. The work was inspected by the city and all was well. I am very pleased with the work performed. Phil, Randy and Chris did a great job and I have no complaints. I would recommend Phil and would use him again if needed. Thanks Phil!

We moved into a new house last July, and based on the inspection report, we knew there was a bunch of electrical work that needed to be fixed. After attempting to get the work done with 3 other electricians -- I was stood up by the first two and the 3rd one gave me an estimate that was so high it was laughable -- someone recommended Phil to me. Phil and his crew did an excellent job. He gave me an estimate quickly. His team showed up, did their jobs and cleaned up after themselves, and the final bill was exactly the amount he had originally quoted. At one point while they were trenching the backyard for the power wire they were going to lay, they cut a water pipe. I don't think there was any way to detect that water line ahead of time, but Phil had a plumber out within a couple hours to get it repaired. It got fixed, cleaned up, and he didn't try to stick me with the bill. I was impressed.

Phil and his crew arrived on time and began work promptly.. While Phil worked on the wiring for the cooktop, his crew installed the light fixtures. The wiring for the stove was run from the breaker box through the garage to the appliance. The job was done neatly and cleanly and within budget. I plan to use Phil's Electric for some more electrical issues that came up during our remodel.

I was not ready for them to replace the light at that time, since I needed to get another one. The $85 was for the service call and diagnostics (the latter of which took 5 seconds of course because they had a tester). Asked for an estimate to install a new light, also install 3 ceiling fans, and 2 outside flood lights - labor only as I would provide the fixtures. With the assumption that the bracings for the ceiling fans are already installed, they quoted me $450 for this. It seems reasonable, but not sure I would know otherwise. The techs were punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. Be aware that they do not accept credit cards - only checks (and I guess they would take cash also).

Called him and he came out within a matter of a few hours, gave quote, and came back the next day and completed the work, because the tilers were not finished with their part yet! Reasonable, responsive, informative, understanding, just an overall good experience.

I called Phil and asked him to address the issue with the lighting in my kitchen which no longer turned on. He set a date two days later and showed up with 2 assistants. I was worried it would cost me an arm and a leg but decided to have him look at it anyway. He went to work on the lighting in the kitchen as well as some issues with lights in my garage (if the lights were on in the garage, the electric garage door would not open). He and his team took care of it all the while lamenting home owners who decide they want to get "fancy" with lighting. He also gave me an estimate on installing a chandelier which needed to be moved back a foot and hung from a 20 foot ceiling. The cost was astoundingly low for the service they provided in a timely manner and their experience (it took them about 40 minutes start to finish to fix everything). They also gave me an estimate on hanging the chandelier and what I would need before the project starts (extra chain, a medallion to cover any holes, etc.).
