Merry Maids of Ft. Worth, TX

They gave me an estimate of about 400 and some odd dollars, to come and clean my house, and clean the sides and baseboards. It's a first time cleaning and it's 400 some odd dollars and I think is a little high. They were good, they came right out on time. They came out, they gave an estimation. They said they would be there and they were very responsive. I have never used them, I just got an estimation. If I couldn't find somebody that I really want I would go to Merry Maids. I was just sort of shopping around and I heard so much about the Merry Maids and everything and I wanted to see what they had to offer. Now, I gotta big house and I have a lot of stuff in my house that has to be dusted and wiped down and everything and I guess it is a big house. It was not the ladies who did the work, it was a woman who came to do the evals. They had never cleaned my house. She came out and looked and wrote everything down, went back, sent it back to me on an email and I'm still looking for somebody to come in and clean my house for less than $428. I don't have anything against them. I just think from my findings and what I want to pay for house cleaning that's out of my budget for the time being. I know that I can get somebody for less than that.

They charged me about $500 to clean 2 houses. They sent five people out for a should have only taken an hour but it took 3. I wouldn't use them again in future.

The only thing I don't like is that I see a different crew every two week. I am use to having the same person each time. I like being able to build a report and get to know the employee. I wish they would send at least 1 crew member each time that I know. But that is the ONLY issue I have with the company.

They did not perform as we expected. They missed dusting several surfaces and ran a dirty rag across our granite countertops in the kitchen and we could see the smear. I will not be using them again.

They came on a Saturday morning and have a 3 hour minimum of which we only got maybe 30 mins. The crew that was sent out swept but did not mop, the cabinets in kitchen had not been wiped down, the laundry room had not been swept, no appliances had been cleaned. The bathroom had been wiped down. Now this house was empty, no furniture, nothing but appliances. My niece who was to move in had to leave right after they got there and she returned 2.5 hours later to an empty house. Lazy!!!!!

They are contracted on an every other week. The first girl they sent really did not do a very good job and it went downhill from there. The first cleaning only took her about two and a half hours which I thought she couldn't have possibly done everything. After closer inspection the job had not been done very well. The next clean she was only here about an hour. After inspecting non of the things listed on their special attention sheet had been done. I called and complained. They then sent a different team and sent two girls. These Girls where here 3 hours which equalled 6 man hours. Did a very good job. This same team is assigned to my home now and have done a very good job thus far. I feel they deserve at least a B rating because my issue was resolved. If these girls would have showed to begin with I would have given them an A. The quoted price is reasonable for this area.

They are wonderful. They are very good. They do a great job for the price. They charge me about $200 for four hours. They bring everything and they clean everything. They are honest and they show up when they say they will show up.

Initially, it did not go well. But, I called and talked to the supervisor and they came back out and cleaned again. The second time they did a really good job. Also, they wouldn't give me a specific time they would be there, which I didn't like. However, the professionalism with how they treated me and them coming back was good.

They provided adequate service, but it wasn't consistent as we didn't always have the same person. Furthermore, they wouldn't use our supplies or use our vacuum cleaner as we requested.

My overall experience was good. It was like $93 each time they came. They came every other week. Their price was good. They were much more reasonable than the other company that I was using at first. The quality of their work was excellent. It is kind of hard to grade their punctuality because of the type of business that they are. I would ask them to try to come in the afternoon as much as possible because I work in the night and they did try to accommodate that. It used to get a little interesting sometimes. It depended on the house that they were cleaning before mine and all that but they always called. I would still give them an ‘A’ for it. Their professionalism was excellent. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

My home is on a main road out of downtown Fort Worth. The side street that my front door faces was being resurfaced. Even though there was ample parking within one block of my home, the cleaning service REFUSED to come to my house, citing "no parking" was available. I called a manager there and he told me "I came there and there is no parking." I asked him to meet me there and I would show him where parking was easy close and FREE. He refused. I fired them and told them to give me back the keys. Weeks and wekks later I got the keys back.

Overall it was not a good value for the money and I will not be calling them again. I think they worked too fast and for $195 to me it should have been more than an hour and a half even in a new house. They sent 2 people and one of then made a whole bunch of noise in the bathroom; she dropped something. So I don't think they were very careful. I heard a whole bunch of noise in the bathroom and I should have gone to look but I was busy with the refrigerator delivery. But there was just a big racket and I don't think that should have happened. I just don?t think that they did $195 worth of value. I didn't have any problem with making the contact, that was good and they came on time.

Two of the Merry Maids employees showed up at my house and took 3 hours to clean. They didn't do a horrible job, but to be charged $384 for something that I could have taken a day (6 hours) to do myself is NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! None of the cleaning tasks were difficult, nor was my house that dirty to begin with. For the money, I was expecting it to be immaculate, which it was not.

We use them because they are bonded and I've used them before. The other thing is that a different team comes every time. The consistency is not there. They do a good job, they use environmentally safe products and that doesn't bring about the best results. We have had to call them to come back, (kitchen table, some mopping areas, dusty fixtures). I would like to see more consistency with the price that we pay.

AVERAGE CLEANING, GENERALLY PROMPT. DID NOT LIKE THE DIFFERENT STAFF COMING EVERY TIME. THEY DID NOT CLEAN THE SAME EVERY TIME, AND PARTS OF THE HOME WERE LEFT DIRTY.

THEY DO A GOOD JOB. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, THEY CORRECT THEM IMMEDIATELY. ADMINISTRATIVE, AND CLEANING STAFFS ARE PROFESSIONAL, AND COURTEOUS. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICES.

THEY DID NOT DO MY LIST. ANOTHER CREW HAD TO COME IN THE NEXT DAY. ONE OF THE WORKERS WAS IN TROUBLE WITH HER CREW CHIEF AND WAS IN DANGER OF LOSING HER JOB. SHE WAS ANGRY AND CALLED CPS TO MAKE A FALSE ALLEGATION ABOUT MY HOME! CPS CAME OUT AND THE COMPLAINT WAS CLEARED AND DISMISSED BUT THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY WOULD NOT REFUND ANYTHING - HE JUST SAID HE WAS SORRY THAT SHE DID THAT. HE SAID HE HAS NO CONTROL OVER HIS EMPLOYEES. WE WENT WITH THIS COMPANY AS OPPOSED TO AN INDIVIDUAL BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THEIR PEOPLE WOULD BE PROFESSIONAL. WE WERE WRONG.

I USE MERRY MAIDS ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR HOUSE CLEANING. OVERALL, I HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICES. DEPENDING ON THE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE SENT TO CLEAN THAT WEEK, DETERMINES HOW THOROUGHLY THE HOUSE IS CLEANED. SOME EMPLOYEES ARE MORE THOROUGH THAN OTHERS.

I WAS NOT EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THIS SERVICE.
