Description of Work: I used Lon Smith Roofing about 20+ years ago. It was then discovered that I needed new decking as the old decking was rotten. Only just recently when getting a new roof from a reputable roofer it was discovered that the new decking of 20+ years ago was installed OVER the rotten decking and not even hammered into the rafters. The new cheap decking was nailed into the rotten decking. Consequently, the cost to re-roof my house tripled because TWO layers of decking had to be removed and new decking had to be purchased. I was not paid to provide this review and am just warning all homeowners about all the unscrupulous roofers out there.

Description of Work: Re-shingled roof. Estimator explained which work needed to be done - and which work could be skipped. Workman did the job in one (long) day; they cleaned up the site and then their inspector followed up to check for nails. Everyone involved made clear explanations and answered my questions. They were patient about payment, waiting for insurance payment. | |

Description of Work: Lon Smith came out quick and on time. Nice guy. Very professional. He checked the entire roof and all flashing. No leaks in roof. Lon Smith located a crack in the chimney bricks, showed me the leak through the bricks in the chimney. We will call the chimney mason. Lon Smith didn't charge me for the visit.
