I used Lon Smith for my roof replacement. Everyone I worked with was courteous and respectful. They did a great job and a very thorough inspection after the job was complete. They were honest and fixed some of the things that weren’t completed correctly the first time. I would definitely recommend them.

Pathetic. Here's a few pictures, which I sent to the CEO, along with many others. I doubt the CEO even saw those pictures since all the correspondence I got back was a form letter, which shows how they handle customer service. I chose Lon Smith due to their high ratings and recommendation from our State Farm agent, but if you get the crew who did mine, you will be sorry.

THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE ROOF. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WE WERE ASSIGNED A PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, JOB SITE FOREMAN, AND FINISHED PRODUCT INSPECTOR. ALL DID A GREAT JOB.

Lon Smith Roofing did what they said they would do and my roof looks good. Only reason quality was not 5 is because I had to clean tar from old shingles off brick and some recently painted trim plus my satellite dish was ripped of the roof with a pitch fork instead of unscrewed the proper way.

It was very good. The supervisor came back out to make sure everything was ok.

The actual roof replacement went extremely well. The crew was fast (1 day) and the roof looks great. The inspector was also good at his job and walked me through his inspection after the roof was replaced. EVERYTHING before and after that was frustrating. It was hard to get them scheduled once they had our signature that we were using them for the roof replacement. They ended up scheduling us a week after the initial time frame given by the salesman. We had to remind them several times that we were trying to sell our house and needed this done ASAP - we were upfront at the beginning. It seemed like the sales and the operations were two different companies. Our salesman had to redo our quote to be higher than his original quote after seeing our insurance claim - if he was knowledgeable enough, he would have done the quote right the first time or eaten the cost he forgot to include. And he was even present when the insurance adjuster came out to do the original inspection so I’m still not sure how one could miss so much. They also don’t eat any of your deductible, which most roofing companies now in DFW do. They don’t even give a discount for marketing after they stick a yard sign in your yard. If you don’t mind paying your full deductible and aren’t in a rush, I would recommend them because I truly do believe the execution and materials rank high. But with all of the communication gaps and there being so many other options, I would not consider them an A rated company just for their size and pedigree. Urgency in the office really kicked in when contacting us IMMEDIATELY after sending the bill for payment though!

I had no idea who to go with for our new roof. It seemed after the crazy hail storm everyone was getting replacement roofs. There were as many contractors cruising the neighborhood looking for the roofing job as people that lived in Allen, TX! They were everywhere. What to do? I called my insurance company, State Farm, and asked my rep who they would use. I knew if my insurance company trusted them I could. Lon Smith Roofing is what I was told. You have to trust somebody and I surely wasn't going to give the job to some company with out of state plates and no reputation. I had a great experience with Matt the salesperson handling everything from the start with the insurance company and adjuster all the way through until the job was complete. Mario was the foreman and he actually knew a lot more about getting the work completed correctly than anyone I've met before. 5-Stars and I would and have recommended Lon Smith to my brother who purchased a roof from them and another house we have was completed by them which is a rental unit near by. Good Job Lon Smith and this review was well earned and deserved.

I worked with Jon. He was so helpful. He even came and met the insurance company to show them all the damage. The roofing choices were beautiful and I even get an insurance discount for having a C-4 roof put on. The roof was done in 1 day and the clean up was great. I couldn't be more pleased. You hear all about the shifty nature of roofing companies, so I was very cautious from the start. However, my roof was leaking, so after my neighbor recommended Lon Smith and suggested I do an insurance claim, I went ahead.ea When the Lon Smith representative came out, I told him I wasn't sure of the hail damage, so he went up and had a look, then writing me an estimate. I then filed the insurance claim, and the Lon Smith man came out at the same time, going up on the roof and showing the insurance reps what he had seen, which was a big help in their making a decision. The insurance estimate was very close to his, and the eventual cost was made to agree. The roofers came and completed the job in one day, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. They were careful, courteous and efficient, with a Lon Smith supervisor checking their work. A tech from the roofing company came the next day and tuned in my Directv dish. They cleaned up, and no landscape was damaged. I couldn't ask for more.

I was contacted by the project manager and we chose a day that worked for everyone to replace the roof. They were in and out of our house in two days. I was impressed with our beautiful roof and the fact that they left our gardens and the outside of our house in pristine condition – amazing service! After a recent hail storm our realtor suggested we have our roof inspected for damage. There was damage. Our realtor recommended Lon Smith Roofing contractors. Their bid was the middle of three bids, all of which were quite close. We hired them and have been exceptionally pleased. They had an outgoing salesman who we liked very much and also had a supervisor who really made certain the job was done to Lon Smith standards. After the roof was completed the crew did a good job of cleaning up after themselves and sweeping our yard and driveway with magnets to get up any nails.
