Lawn Doctor

The first year went well but not after that. They just quit showing up and never returned phone calls.

I'm at a loss as to what has happened with Lawn Doctor, Keller. Until this year, they've provided excellent service. Now they don't call to schedule treatments on a regular basis, don't return phone calls and my yard has only been treated once this year, despite being on their year-round program of 6-8 times annually. Even so, I had to call to schedule the one treatment this Spring which I also called them with a heads-up that my yard was loaded with weeds, which I didn't understand since I'd paid for treatments all last year. I was told that one of their employees (who is no longer with them), unbeknownst to them (and us customers) hadn't treated our yards as we'd been promised but no one knew until Spring arrived along with lots of weeds. Lawn Doctor did come out promptly to treat them and were very apologetic, so I figured that things like this could happen to any company, and since they've been so good until then, I continued service. Only since then, there's been no service. It's like they've disappeared from the radar, although their phone number is still active and I've left messages. I always paid my bill on time so I did my part. I've left two messages this week and am waiting one more day to hear back. Then I guess I should take that as a signal that they no longer want to service my yard which is sad. I wanted to support a local business but there's only so much a customer can do. However, Fall is nearly here and I have to get the yard treated with pre-emergent.

This is the second yr I've hired Lawn Doctor of Lewisville. My front lawn had large patches without grass and whatever grass was there didn't look healthy. I don't have a sprinkler system. I would always be notified ahead of time about a treatment so that I'd know specifically when I'd need to water. When I had a concern about how the how the grass was growing, they'd come by and give suggestions about what needed to be done. They have always been pleasant to deal with and responded to my inquiries promptly.

The work is wonderful. I had the prettiest lawn in my neighborhood. The price is reasonable. I checked with other companies and they're the most reliable. I've been with them for several years. They're probably the most economical. They show up when they say they're going to. I'm on an auto pay, and I have no problems with them whatsoever. If I request an extra service, they give me a quote and then we go from there. I have no problems at all. They're very careful with my dates, because of my dog. They're timely and I recommend them over anybody. They're very easy to get along with. I communicate through email. They respond and I'm very happy. I don't have to mess with telephone calls. I email them in the morning and when I get home in the afternoon, their response is there.

These people are so professional, so attentive to my lawn's needs, so friendly -- I can't say enough good things about them! They pay attention to what's happening with my lawn. They respond quickly when I have a particular need. They behave like true friends out to provide the best service they possibly can. A+++ on all counts!

The first treatment this year was in February and after the treatment I continued to see weeds, so I called to request that they respray the yard. They didn't return my call and since I have called them FIVE times with NO returned call. I called Lawn Doctors corporate office to see if this location was still in business and was advised that it is. The corporate office didn't offer any support either. If in fact they are still operating, their customer service is now NON-EXISTENT. Why would they continue to have an answering service if they don't return their calls? I finally left them a message to cancel my service and since have found a new provider. I had recommended this company to three of my family members and will now advise them to also cancel their service. I would never recommend this company again.

This Lawn Doctor group was contacted based on an Angie's list advertisement. They provided periodic lawn fertilization and sprayed once early on for weed control. After that, our lawn became infested with crab grass, green kyllinga, nut grass and another weed which I was not able to identify. If there was any weed control in their fertilizers, it didn't do much good. There was minimal notification as to service dates. They did not return my phone call or respond to my e-mail. I tried calling at different times of day but never reached a person. In paying bills, I filled out the comment section and even attached a sample of the green kyllinga that was choking out sections of our lawn. No response. I finally went back to doing my own weed control and cancelled their service.

Overall, I found that they responded quickly when I called and left a message. They were polite. They were least priced and were quite cheaper than the other service providers. They did good work and my lawn has been in a very good shape. I paid them $550 a year. I have not had my lawn over run with weeds and it looks good. They came out as per their schedule and I did not need them here at a certain time. If they had to come out and spray, they were very punctual. It was not like that I had to meet them for an appointment. I have signed them up for a whole year.

This guy is always on time as he is here the same day every week. I like that I can call him and if he doesn't answer, he calls me right back. He has super communication and does a nice job on my lawn.

I got tired of waiting and did the work myself.

They will come back and re-treat if you aren't pleased with something. Overall, I've been happy with them and my lawn seems to stay in good shape with their treatments.
