Mr Reyes called to make the appointment for the estimate. Sent Ernest out to give estimate he arrived 2 hours late gave me the estimate and we agreed on the date and time. He did not call or show on the day as promised. I called Mr Reyes to see what happen and he said he did not know Ernest had made an appointment on that day said he would come the next day. Awesome experience! It could not have gone better! The showers were rotted behind the tiles. They took everything out, started from scratch and re-did all the tile. It looks brand new! Very professional, kept everything clean and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Showed up when they said they would and finished the job when they told us they would. I don't have anything negative to say. I highly recommend them!

After I approved the estimate work began the next day. Tile that was to be used for the repair that I already had on site was not the correct tile size or style so we had to get some new tile to match. If I had been more diligent earlier this would have been averted. The job was done quickly and very professionally. I would definitely recommend Joe and use him again in the future for my tile needs.

Although I had used Joe Reyes for three different projects in my former home (kitchen floor and counter tops; master bathroom floor and shower area & guest bath floor; patio floor and front entry area), I thought I could get away with using my handyman for the small guest bath project I had in our new home. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Nothing is ever simple, and the handymen just didn't have the experience to handle the problems that came up. (They were really nice guys, but weren't expert tilers.) Joe to the rescue! I confessed the error of my ways to him, and he very professionally came out to take a look, and agreed with me that things were not going as well as they should. He suggested a fix that wouldn't break the bank, came to work the next day, and finished the day we were leaving town -- just like he said he would! He got the job done in spite of some hickups along the way (tile not being in on the right day). Instead of leaving me in the lurch, he traveled to the main warehouse to get the tile. I know I can count on him to be on time, professional, upbeat, and helpful. AND to always do a beautiful job!

This is my third time to call Joe and my third write-up in Angie's List. Joe gets the job done, and he does it well. I have a small patio / sunroom that is approximately 10x10 that had "front porch material" on it covered by green indoor/outdoor carpet. I asked Joe if he could tile it using the same tile he had used in the kitchen and front entryway. He found the tile, brought it to me for review, and we proceeded. He tore out the tile and evened the floor on one day and lay the tile on the next. The tile is beautiful, but I have come to expect no less from Joe Reyes. With this job, there were no surprises or problems; just a really nice-looking sunroom floor! As he was finishing up, he commented that there was nothing left in my home for him to tile, as he had tiled it all. I am so glad that I have a "tiled by Joe Reyes" house!

I used Joe to remodel my bathroom in 2009 and asked him to come back and do the kitchen. He had found some beautiful, large granite tiles at a ridiculously low price, and I elected to have him do the tile work on the countertops. (I have a huge kitchen, and buying granite slabs was cost-prohibitive.) Joe directed me to a tile showroom where he gets a discount, and I picked out the floor tile. He had a larger crew than he did in 2009, as there was a lot more tiling to be done. The crew arrived when scheduled and all had a great work ethic. As in 2009, he advised me to be my own contractor, but as in 2009, he ended up doing most of the calling and coordinating among plumbers and electricians. I already knew that Joe's work was superb, and I wasn't disappointed with this huge project. The big lesson with the kitchen project is that all things seldom run smoothly. My countertops are not even (1978 house), and Joe was unable to make everything perfect because of the underlying foundation shift. He informed me of the problem after having redone one section several times. I OKed the work that he did, and the unevenness is not noticeable to the casual eye. When it came time to return the stove to its spot, (I had purchased a new Jenn-Air with a smooth top in 2007), the new, higher countertop caught the glass top, causing a crack. A $500 crack, which Joe immediately took responsibility for. He couldn't have been more apologetic, and eventually, the stove top was replaced by an authorized dealer, at no cost to me. In 2009, Joe built in the sealing of the floor tiles into his estimate. (He has another contractor do that part for him.) He evidently did not build that part into his estimate in 2010, so I was surprised when the contractor asked me for payment. I told him that Joe would pay him, and called Joe. He started to say something, paused, and then said he would take care of it. He did. I later looked at my contract with Joe and discovered that he had not written the sealing into it. I do not know if this was an oversight or intentional, but it was my fault for not catching it. He, nevertheless, paid this amount. All of the work he did is outstanding, and I am more than pleased with the outcome in all areas of my home.

I was so lucky to have found Joe out of the yellow pages. I have since joined Angie's list, so even though Joe worked on my house two years ago, he's getting a review! I discovered some water damage in the room adjacent to my master bath, so figured I needed help. Joe came out and gave me the report, which involved tearing out the tile in the master bath to repair the leak. I elected to have him re-do the whole bathroom. He told me that it would be less expensive to act as the general contractor for this job (!), but as I had no experience in such things, he ended up doing a lot of calling and coordinating with others to make sure my work was done on time and with professionals. I needed plumbers, a mirror & glass person, and an all around handyman. He led me through the process, kept me informed, and really took on a lot of extra work for himself. Throughout the process, he remained upbeat, cheerful, professional. He had to work in less than ideal conditions in the master bath, as there was no ventilation in the shower area, and it was July. The outcome was so much nicer than I could have imagined. He did a terrific job, and I have a beautiful new master bath (which, two years later, is still looking great), and a new guest bath floor (also looking great after two years).

He removed the original tile which was in the tub area and also removed the carpeting that was in the vanity areas and put hardiboard on the floor -Then tiled the floor of the Jack and Jill bath with Travertine. He skillfully layed out the job and I am very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: I had a second floor bath that needed unifying- there was a mix of carpet and ceramic tile as the flooring-Joe Reyes came out and gave me an estimate-he accurately detailed the number of tiles that was needed for the job .

He was really good and we were happy with his work. He came in the morning and the project was completed by the end of the day. He came back the following week to do the other bathroom and that also went well. His price is really good. I would definitely recommend him.

Joe was wonderful to work with. He helped secure tile samples for our review. He complied with my request for a lock box while work was being completed. He was always on time and on schedule. The shower looks great.
Description of Work: We had an older style plastic shower base in our master bedroom. It was badly stained so we decided to replace it with tile. Joe Reyes worked with us on the necessary plumbing and selection of tile for the base as we did not have sufficient tile from the walls to cover the area.

The service was great. It took a few weeks, but that was told to us up front and the job was completed in the timeframe expected. He did wonderful work and shower looks better than ever. Not only did they do a great job they cleaned everything up and were very pleasent and profesional. Their price was more than reasonable as most of the plumbing companies charged more just to tear up the tile and fix the plumbing issues. That would still leave us with the tiling. I would definitely use him again and refer him to anyone I know.
Description of Work: We had a bad shower pan in our upstairs bathroom. We had a leak which had run down into the kitchen. After having several plumbers come out for estimates we finally found Strain Plumbing who referred us to Jo. The job consisted of tearing up the shower tile replacing the drain pipe and the shower pan and retiling everything. The plumbing company fixed the drain and Jo did all the other work.

I really have nothing but nice things to say about my experience. After me and Joe played phone tag a couple times, we finally arranged a time to come back out to give an estimate (He came out in January when we were not so ready). He promptly showed up and I went over with him again what we wanted to do. We had already purchased the tile and other supplies. He showed us some things we still needed to buy and stuff we needed to do before he could start. His estimate was very detailed. Broke price down for everything he was doing and gave it to me before he left. Super nice personality and gave us some very good suggestions. After going over the estimate, we asked when he could start and how soon he would be done. Joe's crew showed up on time ready to work. They added some studs/sheetrock/junction box that I didnt have time to install before they started work. They stayed on schedule and even stayed late one day so they could make sure to finish on time. They cleaned up after them selves well and were always very courteous. Shower looks gorgeous. Thought they did a great job! I will have them come back out when I need to remodel my other shower. I would def recommend.

We had contacted 3 companies from Angie's List and Joe Reyes was the first to respond and he came out and gave us an estimate. Four days later he did the installation and completed it in one day. He was extremely professional and prompt. We are going to tile our guest bathroom and we will have him do the project.

We gutted our master shower to find rotten boards and molded everything! My husband replaced the rotten studs and insulation. Joe came to give us an estimate for a new shower pan, backer board, and new tile. Joe also gave us some tips regarding the studs and curb in our shower(very helpful, we needed them). Joe's knowledge, helpfulness, and reasonable pricing made it easy for us to choose him for the job. Due to some unforeseen plumbing problems, we could only afford for Joe to complete about half of the work. We are going to have to do the rest ourselves. When I called Joe to explain this, he was still more than happy to complete our "smaller job." Joe's part of the shower remodel is complete and we are completely happy with his work. Before he left, he told us about a surplus store we could find some "bargains" on other remodel projects for our house and about Angie's List. We will recommend Joe to anyone who needs remodel/tile work.
