Did a great job. Quick, professional, quality service and good price. Would recommend and would use again.

Clean installation. Unit is working great

OK. Did his job and was pleasant but I couldn't help feeling that a) the feedback wasn't helpful and b) I had just paid someone $80 for a sales pitch on home addons.

He tried to sell me some kind of insulation under the roof. He charged me extra for additional work not listed in the plan. He didn't give me any proof that the roof was fixed. I wouldn't use him for roofing anyway.

It was fine. They did a pretty good job. It was a good experience.

After a failed no show, the rep tried to reschedule the 2nd appointment after I already took off two days from my job to be present for the appointment. Reluctantly, the attendant showed up without a ladder, which is odd for a roofer. Finally, the rep got on the roof for a few minutes and informed me that I should get a new roof (which was later looked at and told the roof was fine.) without performing any maintenance. The rep was rude and unprofessional. I will NOT be using Home Performance Concepts for any services going forward.

They didn’t do anything because my attic was bigger than what the deal covered and they couldn’t do it for that price.

It turned out okay. They walked around and told where the house could use some help with heat leaking, the home energy audit. They had some recommendations for some things that we went ahead and did. The price was fine. They had some good recommendations to decrease the energy loss in the house and reduce our energy bill. There was about 30% savings in the energy bill.

1. I purchased on impulse July, 2011 and was never contacted. 2. I forgot about the purchase until Angie's List jogged my memory with a request for a rating 11/25/2013. 3. I called HPC and David (david@gohpcinc.com) apologized for dropping the ball and agreed to honor the purchase. 4. David arrive at 9:30am, Wednesday 12/4/2013 and performed the service. 5. The service was verbal. I had expected a formal report. 6. He promised a written report which never arrived.

They came out to give me an estimate for insulation; they weren’t very accurate with their measurements. He was arguing me on how the measurements looked. They weren't very honest. Also, one tech gave me one price, and the other tech gave me different price.

It turned out good. They arrived on time and the price was as advertised. I would recommend them. It's working good. It was good. What it was was what I paid.

I spoke to the service provider and I feel like he didn't really want to do the job. He said there was not enough work for him. He did came out when he said he would.

I bought this as an Angie's List deal. The deal couldn't be applied by itself, since the amount of square feet of radiant barrier was not sufficient as per the terms of the deal. I knew that going in and was fine with it. So the guy negotiated with me to get a larger package of insulation (which I wanted) and the other work (which I was less sure I wanted but got talked into). In the end, I feel like I got just exactly my money's worth for $2000. And that's fine, but not a great Deal, which is what I had signed up for through the list -- hence the B for price. I wouldn't have gotten all of those services at that price if I could get them a la carte. I didn't like the amoung of upselling he did, which is why I give them a B for professionalism. I was in a bad position because I had pre-paid for the work using the deal, and that cost me some money in the end. Once the work started, though, everything went smoothly. It's been a while, so I don't remember the details much, but I have no complaints and the work seems to have stood up over a few years since then. I didn't live in the house long before the work was done, so I can't compare energy savings. But my bills aren't outrageous in any case.

It originally took them about a month and a half to contact us to schedule the service, which was fine as were in the middle of a move. However, they then missed the appointment we had set and did not call to inform us of this. We had to contact them to get it rescheduled which we did and they again missed the appointment without any notice. At this point we are beyond the hot season anyways and no longer need the fan and do not want to deal with this company as they have only called us once throughout this whole process.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. The install went fine. They had a phone mess up in their schedule so they were three or four days late, but they apologized and they were sorry. Other than that the install went good. When they finally told me that they were going to show up, I talked to the guy on the phone, they did show up on time an they did a good job installing.

They never contacted me and they took my money.

I submitted my payment for the Big Deal and heard nothing through the message board. After complaining to Angie's List, I was finally contacted through message board. A very vague response was given for setting up a time and I responded with a request to give me more specifics as the approximate or vague date approached. I was never contacted again by the vendor/company. This was a terrible experience and my first attempt to utilize a Big Deal. Having to fill out this form is not readily apparent without contacting the complaint process through Angie's List and having a "Real human" contact me by email. I am now hesitant to try anymore Big Deals if this is the process that I have to go through if it doesn't work out. I would have thought that the vendors would be screened better to honor the deals that they make available on Angie's list. My thoughts, Dave

Numerous appointments and cancellations by the vendor. I was home from work on 3 days when nobody showed up. Many excuses like "fan was ordered, but it did not come in as it was suppose to", "we showed next week as the appointment", "we think it is going to rain today" (no rain in forecast and sunny all day), "Costco bought all the fans so the vendor had none left for us", etc. When they finally installed the fan after 3 months of delays, they installed it over my attic and not the garage. To give credit to the vendor for their effort at customer service, when they finally installed the fan over the garage, they left me the fan installed over the attic at no charge. I am sure there is a good explanation for all of the issues I had. It might be they have personnel issues, my job was too small for them given the distance their employees needed to travel, or product delays.

I had no problems with them. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. It is really easy to get into the attic. They sent on person out to do the job and I had no problems with the scheduling.

This company is actually fantastic, even though I'm seeking a refund. Their order for the fans was apparently sent to Costco, so they had to wait for another shipment. I was given a call to let me know what had happened, and then they called me again as a follow-up to let me know they were still waiting. After about another month of waiting on my end, I called in to ask about the status. They were absolutely shocked that they had missed me because the shipment had come in and they thought they had taken care of everyone. Unfortunately, the supplier has been bought out in the meantime, so HPC is not able to purchase the fans wholesale from this place anymore, and the new distributor is charging more for the fan than the cost of the Angie's List coupon. HPC said that they'd find a way to get me one, but I cannot do that as it would be at a loss to the company and that is not fair. I am very impressed with this company, and if they do another deal, I'll be all over it.

First he was waiting on product to schedule my install and other roof work; then he complained about not making any money due to Angie's List charges, costs etc., then nothing, no returned calls or emails nothing! I'm truly disappointed in the whole thing, and our experience with Angie's list "PREFERRED" vendor....! We want a complete refund of the monies we paid for these Non-services!

It hasn't gone anywhere due to no followup by the vendor.

I first signed up for the big deal $399 solar attic fan. I. Was a bit concerned that this size would not be large enough to do much good. HPC checked my property out, and we opted for a more powerful unit. They came as promised, on time, and even called me when they were on their way. They gave me a nice discount on the bigger fan. After they finished, I asked them about the radiant shield of my attic, he explained the benefits of the application, and gave me a price quote based on my square footage. As I had just moved in I had things piled up in front of the attic access. They said they would move the boxes, no problem. When they came back, I had cleared a space (inspired by how nice and professional they were), and they got to work. I noticed the insulation machine in their truck, and asked them to check mine while they were up there. Turns out I did need more to bring it up to standard. They had just finished a job prior to mine, and were out of materials. Instead of making me wait, they went to the supply store and were able to install the instillation that very day. On every job, they gave me a very great price. I am a careful shopper, and looked around before using Home Performance Concepts. I am so glad I did! Awesome service and super prices! HPC did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would. Hard working, neat, cleaned up after the projects. I will use them again and recommend them to friends.

He came and gave a quote for the entire job. The estimate was just too high. I decided just to wait on this project and requested a refund.

Logistical delays drove the decision to request a refund. They seem to be courteous and polite. Just couldn't deliver due to product availability issues.
