FOSSIL CREEK TREE FARM

Job was performed as contracted.

The initial communication was prompt, but subsequent communication was painfully slow. Most communication is via email and takes about a day for each message. After awarding the contract, it took ten days and a second request for Fossil Creek to commit to the contract. The masons initially laid the stone incorrectly, but it was eventually corrected. The sod and sprinkler repair work left a lot to be desired. I actually had to hire another company to finish the sprinkler repairs, and the grass will eventually grow in to fill the gaps. Overall I'm pleased with the look of the landscaping, and I've gotten several compliments from neighbors. Pricing was fair overall, but I'll find a different provider for any future landscaping work.

Last year, the new owner contacted us and wanted to make amends for what had happened to us. He graciously replaced the tree at no cost to us. I did not want to immediately write a new review because I wanted to give the tree a chance to see if it survived. A year later, we have a beautiful healthy tree. Since then we have purchased many plants and trees from them. I would like to give them an A+++ for going above and beyond to satisfy a customer.

They did an excellent job! We marked the spot with a flag and when we came back from work, our tree was in place, watered with a moat around it and the entire area was neat and clean. Our tree, almost 9 months later is thriving and healthy. We were very happy with their services.

After a storm destroyed a tree in our front yard, we went down to Fossil Creek Farms to look at their trees and selected one. They delivered it on time and we payed another landscaper to place it in because the price that Fossil Creek Farm quoted us was way too high. We supervised the planting of the tree the next day. After a few weeks, we noticed the tree was not doing well so we stopped by Fossil Creek Farms for some advice. One of the men working said he would stop by our house to see it. We never heard from him so we called. The man told us that he had "lost" our number and knew we would call back. He stopped by the house about two weeks after our initial drop in and told us that we needed to give the tree some iron. So we purchased the chelated iron necessary and applied it as the man told us to. The tree improved one day and then the leaves turned brown and wilted. We called again to ask about their tree policy. The man told us they would not honor the tree replacement because it was our fault the tree was not doing well. He said that the chemicals that were being applied to the grass were killing the tree. We contacted the company that puts the chemicals in the grass and they told us that the chemicals would not harm the trees at all. In fact, we have several trees and bushes that are in the same relative area and they are doing great. We called Fossil Creek again but they were adamant that they would not honor the replacement. Buyer beware!!
