Just a couple of weeks after completing the job, the polyurethane peeled off like nailpolish. When water was spilled on the floor, the water would seep underneath the polyurethane layer and it would take days to dry out. He came and "repaired" the peeled poly, but the floor was scarred regardless. he could not explain the water issue which I felt very was not good enough. A couple of months the floor then began cracking, bubbling and peeling off, not just the polyurethane, but the cement overlay as well. I have massive areas of ugly exposed coment dust and slab coming through. He came back and said it was a moisture problem. This house is more than 50 years old and the floor has NEVER had a moisture problem. He came to do a moisture test and drilled hole into my floor and sanded another area for another test. he did not complete either one. I still have a hole and a large sanded back area exposing the slab on my floor. My two year now peels the floor up and gets cement dust all over him and breaths the stuff in!!!! I have made countless calls and texts to David Waller who has said he will redo the floor. I have told I have no faith at ALL in his work. He suggested we put tile down and he would cover the cost and to find a tile I like. I found a cork tile and sent him a link and he then said he was not responsible, that it was my problem because I had bad slab and he wasn't going to do anything!!!! This from a man with more 20 years of experience in the industry???? I paid him $7,500 for this disastrous floor, that is hideous, ugly and not functional. I am now taking legal action with him. DO NOT USE HIM. HE IS NOT Professional, does a shoddy job and takes no responsibility for the quality of work he does.
Description of Work: I renovated my kitchen and living areas and had 1000 sf of flooring done by David Waller and Decorative Concrete. He came and inspected my slab twice before commencing work and giving me a quote. He laid down a cement overlay (just millimeters thick as expected) with a polyurethane coating on top to waterproof and protect the floor.

It went well until the first rain when it became apparent that there were two dips in the concrete that held water, one of which was 1/2 inch deep. The water stays until the weather warms up. Several times it has frozen and became hazardous to me and my visitors .When we have a hard rain the entire driveway in front of the garage and a portion of the garage floods, making it impossible for me to get my newspaper, mail and take the trash out through the garage. The constant standing water with the fall leaves also leaves a large stain. The driveway was poured in three sections. There is also a crack that extends the entire length of the first and largest section. Mr. Waller has been here several times and has made several suggestions to repair the driveway. I am not agreeable to a fixed driveway. He wants to make "saw cuts" and reroute the rain to the side of the driveway which would affect my neighbor's yard more than mine. This is particularly true in the event of a gully washer. He says there is not enough of a slope to the street making it impossible for the rain to drain properly. This house is 45 years old and the old driveway drained just fine. Neither the house nor the street have moved. I am insisting that I must have the driveway that I paid for which means tearing up the first two sections and replacing them. Mr. Waller was here yesterday, January 15th, and stalked off complaining that I just wasn't listening. I told him I heard him just fine, I just did not like what he way saying. I have a $5,490.00 judgment against the general contractor as a result of the small claims court. Mr. Waller will not listen to him either.
Description of Work: Tore up existing driveway and constructed new
