Description of Work: Both the frontline people in the Ft Worth and Colleyville offices are so personable -- willing to go out of their way to assist me -- particularly after my mom died, and fraudulent activity showed up on my account. Love that it's a locally owned hometown bank.

+ -1 moreTerrible customer service. My sister recommended them, as had used them years ago with a home purchase. She saw all that I went through with Colonial and was so sorry that she recommended them. A horrible experience overall. I have excellent credit, and was treated like a hostile witness in my dealings over the year long process. I will never use them for anything ever again.

+ -1 moresThey are very friendly, and very financially stable, which is more than many Savings and Loans can say. My business bank has changed names and ownership 5 times over the years, but Colonial Savings and Loan stands steady and Texas friendly.

+ -1 moreOur Colonial Savings experience has not been pleasant. They nearly foreclosed on us and refused to communicate. They are available M - F 8 to 5 which isn't very helpful if you are trying to reach them during the work day. Their online payment services are very, very limited. They often do not receive the payments for several days. Payments are not reflected in a timely fashion. The people you speak to seem clueless and disconnected. If one needs a third party to manage one's mortgage and you might have no issues Colonial Mortgage is probably your organization. Perhaps that is why some seem to like them. I found them to be very distasteful. I will find a new mortgage holder as soon as I can.
Description of Work: Colonial Savings is the mortgage holder for my primary residence.

It really made us more comfortable to see the faces behind the voices on the phones. They went above and beyond to explain things to us and to alleviate our concerns and fears about our first home purchase.
