Dale showed up promptly at the rent house I own in Como to measure for cabinets. I met with him and the tenants to discuss options and share some suggestions she had that would make the space more useful. I, too, had spent considerable time online finding photos to show him, but the tenant's Internet was not working correctly and I could not access the websites on my phone. He was anything but helpful. Dale was condescending and lacked even the smallest spark of enthusiasm for cabinetry - in fact, he did not make a single suggestion! With his and quot;experience,and quot; I expected he would be able to guide us. Boy, were we wrong!!! I am not the usual landlord, and my tenants are certainly not the usual tenants. So, because they are extremely good tenants, I wanted to remodel the kitchen and make it nicer and more functional for them. I didn't plan to spend $50K on a kitchen, but I also thought Dale and I could come up with some workable ideas to agree on and get the tenants a reasonably priced kitchen that would be completed for the holidays. The area the home is in is considered by many to be a lower-income area, and I could sense Dale wanted to leave as soon as possible.was merely and quot;going through the motions,and quot; with no intention of creating a bonafide quote or plan - The disconnect Dale displayed was palpable. He said he would email me the quote in a day or two, but I never heard from him again. I've never seen such a lack of professionalism!

We met with their salesman, who came to our house to measure and begin the bid process. We liked that we were dealing with a local business, and we were both impressed with the quality of workmanship that we saw at their shop. We signed the contract and approved the drawings. The salesman promised us that the cabinets would be installed May 29 and 30. Relying on that promise, we had our kitchen completely demolished and were ready. When we called the Friday before to check in, we were told that our cabinets were not ready, would not be ready and in fact no installation was scheduled and would not be scheduled until we talked to and quot;Cab.and quot; (Neither of us had ever heard of him until this call). Finally, the cabinet installers came June 6th. One cabinet (for the refrigerator) was too wide (stuck out approx. 2 inches too far), another was not made properly so that pipes in the floor would not have been covered. We explained that these problems were unacceptable and needed to be fixed. The installers said they would need to and quot;take it back to the shopand quot; to fix/ rebuild, recut, etc. They instead proposed an on site and quot;fixand quot; that would have looked patched together. There were also a number of other defects (one major hole where wood was missing completely, the shelves were very rough, in a corner unit, the shelves were cut and installed upside down, other shelves were not all delivered at all, the doors did not close flush with the cabinets--the installer actually called the shop in my presence to explain that and quot;the customer wanted the cabinets to close all the way- some drawers closed too far in, others too far out, etc., etc.). The promised 2 day installation stretched one until 6/17/2013. The bottom line is that we as the customers, were the only real and quot;quality control.and quot; There was literally not one problem detailed above that would have been fixed had we not insisted. Meanwhile, our other contractors who had been left hanging for so long are doing other jobs and we still are without a functional kitchen. The cabinets are nice and I regret having to write such an unfavorable review. However, we are really disappointed in the whole experience. No one seems to actually be in charge at this company and the various departments do not seem to communicate with each other.

I contacted them off Angie's List via phone. We scheduled an appointment for them to come out take measurements and then provide a quote. I do not recall when the appointment was but earlier this year and on a Thursday (supposed to have been Friday) I sent them emails and photos with measurements to try to make sure it was something they would even be interested in doing, since it is quite a distance from them to me and if the job was too small might not be worth their time. I thought I was being a pretty understanding and cooperative prospect. We scheduled for a Friday at 3. Instead the person showed up Thursday at 3. Luckily I was home, no biggie, worked out fine although pretty unprofessional to not get your days right. Then we talked for half an hour or so. I reprinted what I had sent because the office did not give the person who came out here my emails, which I told them I was sending when I set the appointment so I had to start from zero in explaining what I wanted. Also, maybe that was better, so I could communicate more clearly in person vs. what they might have taken from the emails. I called the person who came out a week after he had been here because I still had not received a quote. He said they would either have it that afternoon or Monday. Never heard from them again. I guess they have too much business already but still makes no sense why they wasted that person's time driving out here if they weren't even interested in doing the job and why he wasted my time if he wasn't going to have them send a quote. Thanks a lot for nothing. I have found another provider and we are moving forward. I guess my money IS good enough for this other provider.

They were a personal referral from a friend and they are good. By going with them it was like almost cutting out the middleman and the cost was obviously impressive. From my understanding, a lot of the contractors may have to go through some type of cabinetmaker, they have to pay for whatever a cabinetmaker does, so they may charge a little bit more for being a middleman, and so this kind of cuts out the middleman.

I found C and S Cabinets on Angie's list. I called and they came right away. I needed very large builtin bookcases in two rooms. It took about 6 weeks and they installed them. They are beautiful.

Had to built in cabinets made for around my fireplace. One was hutch style the other a TV cabinet. Emailed Cand S in early Feb for an estimate on the cabinets. John Christensan the sales man called within 24 hours to schedule a measurement and estimate. After the initial discussion John had a good idea what we were looking for and had some plans drawn up. we made some small adjustments to the plans picked our wood and stain and had the cabinets built. It was a four week process to have the cabinets made. When the cabinets were done we scheduled an installation time. The installers were right on time, were professsional, and took care not to make a mess. We had some issues with the doors not closing and they were very quick to respond and fixed our complaints in a very timely manner

I called Cand S cabinets on 3/19/2012 for a job involving cabinet drawers in the kitchen that aren't opening/closing properly. Racheal stated someone would call me on 3/20 to arrange a time to provide an estimate on the job. No one called. On 3/21 I called Cand S again and Rachel stated that Cab would call me first thing in the a.m. on 3/22 to arrange a time to look at the drawers but he did not call. On 3/23 I called Cand S again and Cab got on the phone. He was very rude and sarcastic about how he didn't receive the message to call me until yesterday. He then said they would charge me $150 just to look at the drawers and then any repairs would be extra. The $150 did not include any type of repair. He determined this without even looking at them to ascertain what the issue might be. I told him I would find someone else. Cand S does not want to do any job that doesn't consist of an entire remodel. What they don't know is that I have 6 rental properties of which I'm about to replace the entire kitchen in 2 of them. They could have gotten those jobs as well if they hadn't treated me so badly on this one. I will not call them again.

They did an excellent job. I called Cand S to get a bid for new kitchen cabinets. John came by and measured everything and asked me and my wife to come by the shop to pick out what we wanted. He is very knowledgeable and informed us of all available options that we could choose from. Not once did he try to guide us to pick what we didn't want. He was very patient and even stayed late so we could look around and told us to take our time, because he knows how big of a decision it is for anybody to make. I was wanting to get these in before Christmas and they got them done with kind of a short notice. I was amazed by the craftsmanship and quality of these cabinets. They were professionals from the ordering to the installation. I still can't believe how beautiful these cabinets are and I had contractors and basically everybody that I had over asking who built them. If you want high quality cabinets at a great price and customer service that you can't shake a stick at, then by all means contact Cand S Cabinets.

They have been very good so far. I didn't look at the price with anyone else because I liked what I saw when they came. I have a friend who is into construction, said that it was a fair price. I am happy with the work so far.

I was recommended to Cand S by a friend and am very glad that I was. We met with John Christenson and picked out a cabinet style and color. John came to the house and measured and then had drawings made. After a few tweaks of the design, construction began. The build quality is excellent. The finish is also excellent. Both on the inside and outside. The installers were also very professional, meticulous and pleasant. They took their time and it is obvious that everyone at Cand S takes great pride in their work. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Comparing price to other cabinet makers and the big box stores, I think Cand S offers excellent value. The quality and the fact that the cabinets are custom puts these cabinets on a completely different level from what you would get at Lowe's or Home Depot.

My experience working with C & S Cabinets was the best! Everything was beautifully constructed, detailed and finished. John had a custom design drawn for my needs, worked with me on a custom stain color, called after the installation to make sure all had gone well and was always prompt in returning my phone calls and answering many questions throughout the entire process. They are very patient and want the customer to be 100% satisfied. It is very rare to find craftsman with this level of workmanship in today's times and business owners who care about their clients and reputation. If you need a new kitchen, bath or any other custom cabinetry work done in your home and are very picky, I would highly recommend them. Gorgeous work and a pleasure to deal with!

The overall experience was good. They matched our other cabinets and did a really good job on that.

The time to build the cabinet and drawer fronts was longer than we were originally told, but it was well worth the wait. The sale rep was knowledgable and helpful. The office staff was courteous and responsive to questions. The installers were hard working, polite, helpful, and very talented. Our kitchen is completely transformed and beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again when the need arises.

OK, in 2006 I had this door made in MDF because I intended to paint my cabinets white. Ooooops ... changed my mind and decided to keep them oak. I called John and he didn't judge. I overnighted one of the doors to him so he could match the style, grain, and stain ... again. I know he wasn't happy w/ the first staining, so he redid it. When he called and said it was ready, I knew it would be perfect ... and it was. When he sent the door, he also sent some stain so I would have it to stain the cabinet, which was still awaiting paint ... I'm so bad. (They also brought back the door I mailed for him to having something to match against.) You can't go wrong w/ John and Cand S Cabinets. Now, I'm debating adding a cabinet over the toilet in the guest bath. If the decision is YES ... I'll call John and Cand S Cabinets.

My house was built in 1982 and I bought in 1990. Ever since I bought it, I HATED the utilty room and its 2 cheap shelves over the washer and dryer. (The utility room is right off the living room, so everything is visible unless the door is shut ... yuk.) I also hated the pantry in the kitchen. It was comprised of 4 separated cabinets. In my previous house I could open the pantry, look at everything, and decide what to cook for dinner. That's hard to do w/ 4 separate cabinets. Now I can do it again w/ my pantry w/ one large door. What's nice is I now have adjustable shelves, too. They perfectly matched the style of the 1982 cabinets, which I plan to paint. I would use them again in a minute. They are GREAT.

They did a very good job. Their price was very reasonable. I had someone come out and measure the drawer. They were very punctual. They came out when they said they would. I would use them in future if the need arose.

They showed up on time. The price was excellent for the number of cabinets I got. They also cleaned up after themselves very well. They've also worked for many of my neighbors since I had them do the job. People have come in, seen my cabinets, and wanted some of their own.

THEY UNDERSTOOD EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THEY WERE ALSO REALLY EASY TO WORK WITH. THEY HAD REASONABLY PRICED CABINETS. IF I NEED CABINETS IN THE FUTURE, I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
