It went well. Bill promised my mower in a week, picked it up and returned it as he said he would. He found the issue and repaired it, plus did some extra maintenance that was needed. Kind, professional and honest.

Didn't complete the service as both the mower and power washer were not repairable. I just didn't like the final result.

My mower stopped running in the middle of a yard job. It would start, but would not keep running. I took it in to Bill on Monday morning. It was ready for pick-up by Tuesday afternoon! He did a tune-up, oil change and replaced the blade. The mower ran perfectly with more power than ever. The best thing about the service was that it was performed in one day. This was my second time to visit Big & Small Mower Repair. In both cases I was impressed by how friendly professional, and consistently excellent these folks are. The young lady who works in the office, Marci, even helped me load the mower into my truck. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing lawn equipment repair.

Excellent place of business and conveniently located (for me, as he was 5 minutes from home!) My mower randomly quit working during a mowing session. I had a small Mohawk in my lawn, about 2 ft stretch from the sidewalk to our fence. I figured it'd over heated so I left it for a few hours, but when I went to run it again later it died immediately after finishing the Mohawk. We thought it ran out of gas, so I went to take the cap off and it was stuck. My husband normally refills the gas for me when I need to mow the lawn, so after 5 minutes of fiddling with the gas cap and getting nowhere I quit messing with it. Later my husband tries too to get the cap off, and the mower's not having it. We took it to have serviced a few days later. We told them what the issue was we were having, and they also made recommendations. When the mower was tilted they noticed the blade was extremely thin, and recommended a replacement. Big and Small Mower Repair had my mower for a week, including a holiday, and they were able to get it done. They amped up the RPM, added oil, replaced the blade and gas cap. The mower is a hand-me-down from my father, but it's never run so well. They let us know that it's not recommended to leave gasoline in the mower for over a month, and to be honest this was our first mower we had no clue. We had used gasoline in it from last season. I'm exceptionally happy with this company, their price, and the speed at which they were able to repair my mower... Now if only the weather would get better and let me mow the lawn more consistently.

Dropped my Craftsman 6.5 hp chipper/shredder off on Tuesday morning 1/27/15 to have a tuneup. They called the next day and said it was ready. They rebuilt the carburetor, changed the oil and air filter and got it running great. Used it last Saturday for several hours shredding leaves and it ran like brand new. Highly recommend based upon my experience.

Company pickuped mower, did the repairs, and delivered the mower at said time.

This is the second time I have called Big and Small Mower Repair to work on a 20 year old Riding Lawnmower. They are super helpful and fast when taking all the details by phone. They offer a pick up and drop off service for the mower , which is necessary since I do not have a truck to drop it off. I highly recommend Big and Small Mower Repair, they have been fair and honest with me about fixing our mower and keeping it working with out spending a unnecessary money. This time the valve stem had to be replaced in the tire to fix my flat. The battery was charged and the mower was returned to us running.

These people are the best. I had a difficult problem with my riding lawnmower and they managed to get it back to running like new. They arrived to pick up the lawnmower at the time promised. Further, they called to tell me they were on their way. They were professional, reasonable and charged a very fair price to pick up the lawnmower and return it. Additionally, the lawnmower was returned to me in the time frame as promised. You won't beat their service.

These guys are great! I had a bad experience with another lawnmower care service so I decided to use the power of Angie's List and they are rated high for a reason. Very confident and professional on the phone, I decided to just bring my mower by for them to take a look. First thing they do is great me by my car and start talking to me the second I get there. Despite telling me how busy they were on the phone, the gentleman asks me how far I came to get there, and I told him 45 minutes. I was expecting just to drop it off but he was nice enough to look into it immediately just in case it was something easy to fix. While I'm waiting the other gentleman are giving me advice on how to use fuel stabilizer in gas (when they noticed I had bad gas in my mower), what to look out for (to make sure it is specific for ethanol gas for the fuel stabilizer I buy), and to only buy a few gallons a gas a season. Meanwhile the person helping me asks me to come out and have me listen to my mower while he's cutting grass (after he tinkered with it a little bit) to make sure it was or wasn't having the stalling problems it was having. Unfortunately it was and it was a bad governer, which would cost about $200 to fix. Despite this being very expensive, he indicating to me and explained why it would cost this much, being very professional. He told me great advice and was honest, telling me if I do decide not to do the repair as to what mowers to avoid and which ones to maybe buy based on his experience. No pressure at all to do the repair, I decided not to go through with it. The person helped me load my heavy mower back into my car and wished me a good day. Overall I'm very impressed and glad to see businesses like this. It's no wonder they looked so busy with so much business! If I need repairs at any time, I'll make sure I go here and no where else. Thanks again!

They did a great job. To begin with, they offered a minimum fee to pick up and deliver the riding lawn tractor back to me which I thought was going to cost an arm & a leg. Its run great since its return. They were able to do the job and get it back to me in this their busiest season in just 1 week where others quoted me much longer. Big & Small Mower Repair gave a 10% discount for paying in cash (every little bit helps). Also their price was very reasonable for the quality work done. I believe its been the only time the parts cost more than the labor !! Definitely will continue to use them for my future lawn equipment needs.

Our riding lawn mower which was 20 years old and our new push mower which was less then a year old would not start for us. We did not have a trailer to take the riding mower to a shop. We looked on Angie's list and found Big and Small Mower Repair, I called for the details about how much it would cost to have them repair and tune up the mowers. I also asked if they could pick up the mowers. They were super friendly and helpful. I was told by Bill, they did offer a pick up service and would pick them both up at the same time. I was told to service both would be around $200 and pick up and delivery was $60. Both were delivered back in perfect working order 6 business days later. The total was $240. Also one of the front tires on the riding lawn mower had been replaced last summer. Bill noticed it was a different size, he took off the wrong size and replaced it with a tire to match. This was at no cost. This company was super friendly, timely and professional. I would recommend to anyone needing to repair or tune up a lawn mower.

The provider did an excellent and timely job of maintaining my mower by cleaning air filter, flushing oil from system, changing engine oil and sharpening and balancing mower blade. When mower was returned I thought it belonged to someone else because it looked so much better. Also, pick-up and delivery service was provided.

The assessed what was wrong quickly. They did our repair and maintenance quickly and thoroughly. We were very satisfied with the service.

The work was completed to my satisfaction and mower was ready when promised.

Mower works like new again, and repair was completed in less than a week.

When we called our regular lawn mower repair company we were told that they would come and pick up the mower immediately but that they would probably not get to it for a few weeks. When we asked if they could wait until they were ready to work on it to come and get it they said they could not. Since our lawn needs mowing weekly this was not a good option for us. We looked at Angie's list and saw a local repair shop with good ratings. We were very happy with everything about the experience with Big and Small Mower Repair. They immediately came and picked it up and gave us an estimate of when it would be done. The work was done on time and at a great price. I would highly recommend Big and Small Mower Repair.

Callhe mower for me ed to request permission to perform other work (with estimate) and after approval work was done quickly and with no additional charges other than what we agreed to. They unloaded and then loaded the mower for me. Outstanding service at reasonable cost

Extremely well. I had always done the maintainence on my lawn mower myself but after 9 years my mower was not starting right away. I checked Angie's List to see who was closest that had the highest rating. Turns out they were very close to my home. I brought my mower over, they said it would take a week. I called after a week and they were ready for me to come pick it up. I used the mower that very day. Ran like new.

I have been burned by small engine repairs severals times. Either I have had to leave the equipment for weeks on end to be repaired or have paid a premium for quicker repairs and in a couple of cases have paid for the repairs only to have the equipment run once then quit and in one case still not run. Big and Small Engine Repair has kept their promise so far and at a reasonable price and am looking forward to doing more business with them. I have several pieces of equipment that need repairs, some of which have not worked in a couple of years, that if thy can get running will same me hundreds of dollars in replacement cost. I loading them up today and taking them in for the repairs and hope to be using them very soon. I will report again on the results of the repairs on the other different equipment that I need repaired

It's springtime and all the repair services were backed up (one company told me 6 weeks). B&S was johnnie on the spot. Turned the mower in to them at 5:30 pm on a Thursday and was called to pick it up Saturday morning.
