The projects went very well. Ron Avary is a Master Electrician and is very responsive. He looks like Santa Claus and plays Santa at Christmas time. He has a helper named Paul who does most of the small work. The work done by this company is very professional and is done per code. Ron has done the following jobs for me: Install new residential electrical service panel, completely rewire two rental properties to bring them up to code, install ceiling fans, install network cabling, install lighting in the shop building, etc. In my humble opinion, you can't ask for a better Electrical Service Company. His website address is: [*** Link removed ***]

The electrician (Paul) spent 2 or 3 days at our house. The work could have been performed in at least half of that time, had Paul actually stuck to his work, rather than doing the following: Eating our food, and drinking our beverages (drank all of our coke when the coffee was gone), talking to our family (for instance, asking about what happens when a person gets falsely accused of a sexual molestation), and spent the majority of one day helping the cable guy do the cable installation (while we were getting charged by the hour by the electrician's company). Paul drilled several small holes in our ceiling, claiming he needed to do that to find out where to install/ground the outlets. Paul failed to cover up the holes in the ceiling before he left. Paul also spent a lot of time in our bathroom with the door shut (while we were getting charged by the hour). Paul's cell phone continued to ring, and I could hear him telling his boss (Ron Avary) that he (Paul) was working as fast as he could, trying to get finished. It's obvious that Paul was taking longer than needed to get the job done, but what Paul failed to tell his boss was that a lot of his time was not being spent working on electrical problems, but was spent goofing off (drinking coffee and coke, etc, and trying to visit with our family) and helping the cable guy. The owner (Ron Avary) charged us more than what he originally bid, since the time Paul spent at our house was more than what Avary thought it would take to do the job. When we noticed that the holes were still in the ceiling, we called Ron Avary and he said he could send Paul back out to fix it. We requested that someone else, other than Paul come out to fix the ceiling, but Ron Avary said he was not able to fix the holes himself, and had nobody else to send but Paul. Ron Avary was also told that Paul did not move the electrical line outside the house, and Avary said he forgot to tell Paul to do that. (even though this was included in the original bid). One hour of Paul's salary doesn't begin to make up for experience. Our fence was also broken while Paul was going back and forth from both sides of the yard to the house (as you have to come inside the house in order to get from one side of the yard to the other, or you would have to climb over the fence), Paul mentioned to us in passing that our fence was rickety (which we thought was odd that he should mention the fence). Afterwards, when we saw the broken fence, Paul denied climbing over and breaking the fence. Avary offered to reimburse us for one hour of Paul's time, but this doesn't begin to make up for the experience or for the damage to our fence. Needless to say, we will not have them back to fix the holes in the ceiling, or anything else for that matter.
Description of Work: Grounding electrical outlets, putting covers on outside electrical outlets, moving electrical line outside residence, installing electrical smoke detectors.
