I have been with Arctic for many years, and they are absolutely wonderful! It is a small, family owned business. They are skilled, quick to respond, honest, fair, and very careful about who they hire. You never have to worry about them being there in an emergency, and you never have to worry about getting over-sold or over-priced. I wish all companies were like this!!

System stopped cooling about 9 PM Sunday. I thought well, it is 20 years old, maybe it's time had come. Arctic Air has been servicing this unit for the past 10 years (when we bought the house). Jimmy Kuban, the owner (since retired), was referred to me by a good friend,Von Irwin. Von told me you can't find a finer, more honest ,reliable and fair priced company to do business within the residential/commercial HVAC business. Called Monday (today) at 8:05 AM, got the message Carrie was helping another customer, but would call me back asap.In 11 minutes Carrie was calling me. I explained my situation and she was able to get Brian out between 11 and 1 ..SUPER! Brian showed up at about 11:15, checked and serviced the system. Seems nothing major, just a thermostat 'glitch' (whew) apparently caused the problem. He explained to me how to 'troubleshoot' the thermostat if it did it again. Seeing system is 20 years old, I discussed the prospect of replacing the complete unit (furnace as well) this fall with a more energy efficient one. Brian was REALLY great, taking the time to explain all the benefits and features of a heat pump, size of unit I should have, furnace etc. He put it in layman's terms I could relate to and understand.!! What can I say, other than they have been taking care of me for over 10 years, and 'there ain't nobody getting near my A/C' but Arctic. I have had the privilege to meet the whole family. Mark, Carrie and Ronnie are now running the show, and Brian is their other 'outside the family' technician. If I had an HVAC business, I would be after Brian to come work for me. You owe it to yourself to try this company for ALL your COMMERCIAL or RESIDENTIAL heating & A/C needs. Go with these people and your mind will rest at ease.

Very prompt response to my service call request. Technician arrived promptly on time and repairs were accomplished in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Both upstairs and downstairs units were either not running or blowing warm air. Downstairs unit was frozen up due to low freon charge and upstairs capacitor had failed causing unit not to run. Both units were serviced and operation restored.

I've used Arctic of years, and thus had them scheduled to visit on the day we took possession of our new house. They showed up on time and got right to work. We had discussed repairing the furnace vent stack and checking out the A/C, and that was their focus, but before they started we walked the house and discussed the ceiling registers appearance (rusted) in several rooms. While inspecting the system, a low pressure level was detected and finally traced to a clogged inline filter. Then they ran into a time issue. They didn't have the time to do all the additional work that I requested after their initial inspection because they needed to get over to Fort Worth to fix an elderly couples A/C compressor, so we scheduled a second visit for the following Friday. The next Friday, they appeared in force and proceeded to replace the old, damaged ceiling registers, they climbed back up to the attic and properly installed insulation over the duct junctions (the installer had just draped the insulation over them), they replaced the incorrect flex pipe installed on the furnace vent and straightened the vent pipe, and installed a new thermostat. The registers they recommended and ended up installing make a massive difference in air flow into the rooms and are actually installed square to the walls, they took the time to be sure of that. After the work, they identified to me the fact that incorrect flashing had been installed around both the furnace vent stack and the water heater vent stack. They also stated it was better to have a roofing company fix this issue because it wasn't their area of expertise. They'd try, if I wanted, but... For all the time they spent working, plus the parts installed, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the final bill.
Description of Work: Inspection of A/C unit and gas furnace Inspection of duct work, filters, and vents Repair of identified deficiencies on A/C Repair of furnace vent stack Repair of poorly installed ducts joints Replacement/alignment of ceiling register vents Installation of a new thermostat

Used for the 13th year for my yearly A/C and heating inspection. As always, quick and efficient about the check, but still don't miss a thing. Over the years, they have found and fixed things that the new house warranty people either missed or said were not important enough. They previously replaced a heat pump for me, and have always been a pleasure to work with. It's a family business, and you get treated just like you'd expect from a company like that. Now, they do a lot of commercial business, so getting onto their schedule for a regular check or such isn't always the easiest, but when I had an emergency, they were there in less than 4 hours! I'm moving shortly, or they would have checked this house again this year...but you can bet they'll be visiting my new house.
Description of Work: Performed a A/C and Heating yearly check-up. Consisted of: Visual inspection, internal checks, function and pressure check, and cleaning of outside unit. Visual inspection, internal checks, and function check of internal unit. Checks of drains, filters, system function and air outlet temperatures. Check of thermostat. The check they performed qualified for a rebate from Tri-County Electic...they'll give you money back for having your system serviced once a year!
