Description of Work: As agreed, I paid half up front and then had to call the guy/track him down for two and a half weeks past the time he was supposed to completed the job. He said he needed more money. We gave him another two hundred dollars. He showed up at our house finally...without all of the doors, NO drawers and NO sides to reface the nine sides of exposed cabinets. The doors he did do the day he arrived were shabby and completed out of C/D plywood. AND, he said he wasn't going to stain them as we had talked about. If I wanted that done, he would need MORE money. My husband and I had to work that day; but when I arrived home this is what I found: Two doors wouldn't close properly, they gapped about 1/4 of an inch and one set of doors completely overlapped and could not be closed. There were hinges screwed in crooked so the doors did not hang correctly on three doors. Four doors had gashes and holes in them to the point that you could see through the door to the inside of the cabinet..... one hole was the size of a quarter, He did not put up the proper protection to our home and sanded the wood so that our entire house was covered in fine sawdust. The light fixtures, baseboards, furniture, etc were covered. At the end of the day, when I arrived home, he said that he needed most of the remaining payment to be able to finish. I re-stated our agreement (verbal) that he was to receive half up front and the other half when he completed the job. He left and did not return. Oh, and he left in such a huff because we would not front him another 500 dollars, that he left trash in my garage containing empty beer cans. My neighbor reported that Mr. Gonzales, Jr. was only there for a short amount of time. We had to rip off all of the work that he did do because of the poor quality. We are starting over with the carpenter that we wanted to use/should have used in the first place.
