Mr. Williams quickly identified the problem as needing to replace the capacitor on the outside unit. He handled the repair quickly and had me cooled off in no time. Mr. Williams was very prompt and courteous and very professional. Would definitely use him again - and have done so.

I called to have my unites tuned up and charged! AC guy comes out and tells me I have a dirty filter and so I run to home depot to buy a filter while he is "working" on the units. When I come back he is sitting on my porch and tells me that both compressors are bad and lets me know that the cost will run around $2000.each to replace (Just had a new one put in last year on one of the units) He proceeds to show me what he is talking about with his meter. I knew something wasn't adding up so I call my husband who asked if he checked the breaker. Turns out he did not! I go turn on the breaker and compressor starts right up on one unit, get to the next one nothing. After 5 minutes of messing around with the breaker he realizes he had unhooked wiring on the unit!! Tells me that the compressor is bad and so I tell him we had just changed compressor last year. At this point I am frustrated, and walk away. I leave him be and he comes in to tell me that it's not the compressor it's the heart start. I asked him what I was paying him for and he says well you signed up for a tune up/service and had the nerve to ask if I wanted to get a heart start? I pay him and I am still left with the problem of it not charging. My husband comes home and checks it out and finds the compressor to be working just fine! ALL IT NEEDS IS TO BE CHARGED! A week later I call and ask to speak to someone in charge before I write a negative review that maybe they'll want to rectify the problem. I start telling the person in charge what happened and it's the same guy who came out and pretty much tells me another lie. Ended up paying $138 for nothing but a waste of time!

We were called out for tune up of two systems. We started the inspection on the inside found dirty air filters. Continued outside to condensers and found no power to either unit. The home owner had gone for air filters so we waited for her to return. Once she returned we advised her of not having power. Also advised breakers usually trips if there are problems with the compressor. So she stated why didn't you look for the breakers. I told her that we didn't know where they were and decided to wait for her return. She reset the breaker and the upstairs unit started. I advised her of it starting great no problem. The testing tool had indicated a potential problem with the compressor I showed her the meter results. The downstairs unit did not start , so recommended a hard start kit to help start compressor of which is industry standard. She declined paid for inspection so we left. There was absolutely no interest or intention to decive or be dishonest to the home owner what so ever. We were just advising of our diagnosis and only billed for tune up. We didn't know system was low on freon because we were trying to re - establish power. However by that time we were asked to leave. The home owner stated she would have the company that replaced the compressor to return. We are sorry for any confusion but no harm was intended. Kind regards, Williams Services

Derek answered and was able to come the same day. He diagnosed the issue and agreed to come back with the new board for the unit the following day. He did a good job, was very courteous, and was very flexible with us regarding scheduling while also being very prompt and responsive. I would definitely hire him again.

We called on a Saturday morning and he rearranged his schedule and was at our house in 45 minutes. He quickly diagnosed and repaired our air conditioning unit that stopped working last night. He came out on a Saturday and did not charge extra for a weekend fee. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. Our unit is old and he did not make a sales pitch to install a new unit which other companies have done to us. The other thing we liked is that he carried the parts on his truck and was able to fix our problem on the spot--no waiting for him to order a part and return on another day. We will definitely use this company again. Thank you Mr. Williams for a great experience.

My wife was here and they came out and did a really great job. She was very pleased when they came out. They gave us advice on possibly replacing the coil. They gave us some options, which was good. We chose just to replace all the freon and it has been going pretty good. The guy did a good job. We were comfortable with the price.

Went from 69 check and service to 139 for part to 325 total at end. Didn't tell me about double 69 charge and up front price for fill. Still needed fill and part but just wished that total price would have been told at beginning. When told the 139 and then asked if fill wanted I had figured around 200 or so total. Was a little shocked at extra 125 at end. Would use again but would want total price up front before I keep saying yes and ok.
Description of Work: Had issues with ac not blowing cold. Quick response to need and Derrick was friendly. Was very quick to figure out why ac not blowing cold one needed capacitor and the other needed some freon. Quick easy fix and is blowing very cold. My only issue was that others that I have used in past if inspection showed issues that need repair then they would apply the diagnostic fee toward the repair.

Derek called about 30 minutes prior to the appointment to let us know he was on his way, he arrived a few minutes early and was extremely professional and courteous. Derek spent a few minutes going over our concerns and then went right to work. We discussed a few potential trouble areas with one of the two units and Derek took the time to explain in detail how to change the the temperature settings since we were unfamiliar with their operation. Over all an excellent service experience as well as a great opportunity to get to know Derek before we have any problems with the systems.

I called and asked for a partial refund, as I now did not trust the knowledge of Mr. Williams. I was willing to pay the service charge, but wanted the other $131 refunded. The leak check was incorrect, so I don't feel I should pay for that. His response was that he added 4 pounds of freon to the system, and that he was still losing money since freon is $50 per pound. He refused to refund any money, and said that I should have called him to come remove the excess freon. I, of course, would not trust him to do this after getting 2 things wrong already. I ended up having to pay over $200 to have another company check the work, and remove freon from the system. I was also told by the other company that their cost to charge a system was only $10 per pound for freon, so the $50 per pound quoted by Williams was ridiculous. I would not have been satisfied with the service, but would have been satisfied with the resolution if they had offered to refund at least $100 of the $200 paid.
Description of Work: Bad service. Derek arrived and checked our system which was not cooling. He said the system had no freon and that the coil was leaking. He charged the system, and gave me an estimate of over $1000 to replace the coil, saying he could get the part free under warranty since my system is less than 5 years old. He charged a $69 service charge, and said he'd waive the $75 leak check charge because of the expense. When I asked for the 15 percent off offered on Angie's List, he said he couldn't give me 15 percent off and waive the $75 fee, so he added that back in and then took 15 pct off. Total quote was about $926. He had us pay a $200 deposit, and scheduled the work for the following week. Having bad experiences in the past, I had 2 other companies out to give me a 2nd opinion. Both companies said the coil was not leaking, and that the system was overcharged, causing it to not cool correctly. I had to then pay to have the extra freon removed and the system charged correctly.

Hello sir your response is welcomed. However not exactly correct we both honored the 15% discount and waived the leak search fee of $74.oo and the service charge of $69.oo. These fees are present and shown on your copy of the invoice. I had no problem with returning to recover some puron if it was indeed over charged as I explained. However you didn't give us the opportunity as I stated we were just trying to get you guy`s some cooling over the weekend. I also explained to you guy`s that the leaks detected were very small pin hole type as detected by my leak detector. We were by no means being dishonest or otherwise the fact is your system was empty upon on our arrival. We had nothing to gain by telling you we found a leak in the evaporator coil of which was under warranty. It`s a sealed system so the fact that it was empty is a problem in it self. It had to have gone somewhere you stated yourself you been topping it off for the last couple of years. The money you spent covered some of our time and materials. Thank you for your business. Derek arrived and serviced both units, he was professional, knowledgable and personable. My husband and I were very impressed. We will have Williams back when it gets warmer because our system needs freon. We kind of knew that from last year. The whole installation went very well. If the equipment itself (an American Standard heat pump system) proves to be as reliable as the installer was reliable, helpful, etc., I'll be very happy for a long time. I did not have a Big Deal coupon for this work as there were none that actually fit the work I needed to have done. My existing heat pump system goes back to mid-1980's (air handler) and mid 1990's (outside unit). They both needed significant work, but were not worth investing significant money in for repairs. Since the work was not an emergency, I solicited proposals from 5 different providers (some on Angie's List, some not but with other references). I got 1-2 bids a bit lower than the Williams bid, and several considerably higher. I considered Trane and American Standard (really just another Trane as they are manufactured at the same place in the same way). There were no particular negatives about the other reps I met, but I was very impressed with Derek Williams (the owner). Derek looked over everything and we discussed a problem area in my house where air circulation was especially poor. He recommended a system (13 SEER) that would provide good efficiency and meet required standards. He didn't try to sell me a "super" unit that would cost so much up front that I'd never recoup my investment through increased operating savings. He did not try to upsell. As I said, his price was not the very lowest. But, I don't trust a price that's too low to believe. I called Derek on Friday to okay the work, and he scheduled my installation for the following Wednesday. He and the crew arrived right on time. The installation went very smoothly and quite quickly, considering all they had to do. In looking at my air flow problem area, we talked about several possible solutions. Adding another duct line would not work. Adding another plenum would work, but would have cost an additional $700-$800. Under the circumstances, I indicated I would agree to that, as the problem needed to be fixed. But, after more discussion among themselves, Derek came back and proposed adding a damper ($150) to see if that would be effective enough. If not, I could go with the more expensive solution. The damper seems to be working quite well. Again, there was no upsell. In fact, Derek and his crew came up with the much less expensive option themselves. Can't beat that! All in all, I really liked this company and crew. Derek and his crew were prompt, worked efficiently all day, and were very courteous and professional. I really liked everything about this experience. If you have to get a new system, or just need repairs to a current one, I'd say this is the place to call.
Description of Work: They installed a new heat pump system (both inside air handler and outside compressor unit), modifying the existing duct work system by adding a damper, a new thermostat, and a few other minor system improvements related to vents, etc.

The crew and Mr. Williams were extremely polite and efficient. They quickly removed the old furnace and installed a new one. They tested the furnace after installation and made any necessary adjustments. In addition, before they installed the new furnace they repaired and reinforced the platform the furnace sits on. Once the job was completed they hauled off the old furnace and any debris. I have had absolutely no problems with the furnace since installation.
Description of Work: Mr. Williams was preparing to go out of town but responded instead to an urgent request to provide and install a new gas furnace. His crew arrived promptly and wasted no time getting the job done. Services performed: They removed the old defunct furnace and replaced it with a new one.

The technicians are very pleasant and they solved the problem which was great!
Description of Work: They helped us relight our pilot for $100. Prior to this they tracked down a problem in one of our new AC units that someone else had installed. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it when the other company could not after four trips out to look at it. It has been working perfectly since.

The guy was pretty good. He showed up on time. I'm considering call him back next year for my air conditioning and maybe do a maintenance contract with them. The first time a guy came in to my house and spent some time on my heater, not just 15 minutes. He's very good, very thorough and explained some questions I had about a noise the furnace was making. The price was pretty competitive. The only thing I would have like which he didn't do is to call when they are on their way but he was on time also I like the fact that he put booties on his shoes.
