Willard Heating and Air Conditioning

The Willard technician actually cut a wire during the unnecessary $2,500 duct cleaning they got me to agree to. The manager, Bobby, has been disrespectful and rude as they try to avoid refunding me and making things right. Willard is not honest or competent. Do not use. Did not explain that vents would be damaged prior to doing the work. Bad attitude when I brought this up. Rude. Had to point out what needed to be cleaned up and fixed. Things not done unless I pointed them out. Disappointed.

Willard is a company we trust. Gus and Daniel were phenomenal. We had a stressful emergency leak, but from the time they got here and got straight to work we knew that we were in great hands. The team was focused, friendly, courteous, transparent, and professional. Gus was so thoughtful and made sure to treat my home like his own, and I was beyond impressed in the manner he took extra time to make sure to not leak water onto the floor while carrying a HEAVY dirty toilet all by himself! I was impressed by how expertise they both were when educating me on my home plumbing needs. We had an emergency on the weekend and it was stressful as could be, but our experience with the team at Willard was beyond 5 stars. They relieved our concerns as homeowners and our family will be happy to use Willard moving forward for our future service needs. The lady we spoke to on the phone was a star, and next time we call in we will ask to have Gus down as our recommended tech for life!! He was great! Our Willard Technician, Jesus Salazar, came out late on a Friday night to fix our air conditioner. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us really well. It was over 100 degrees outside and the house was starting to heat up. He got our unit working and told us how to take care of the problem in the future. I would highly recommend Willard A/C, ask for Jesus!! Wendy W.

The 1st time I used them it went perfectly fine, but the 2nd time a technician came out I felt that he was trying to scare me into buying more repairs and services that I didn't actually need. They offer a warranty similar to and insurance policy that he was really trying to push on me

These guys are great. I had a difficult situation where our hot water heater needed to be replaced, but it was in our attic and we have a two story house. They got it all the way down and out and a new one all the way up. If that alone wasn't worth 5 stars additionally they were professional and offered a great price.

They were very persistent, which were very good. The price I think is fair. They're trying to sell me a maintenance plan, but their price is steep. I do need it, but to pay the maintenance like the units are 12 years old, I wouldn't want. We did have some problems with them removing the old ones.

They are reliable, punctual, and neat and they know what they are doing. The workers are very nice.

Fast and efficient. Hired from Boston for Mesquite installation. Got it done before the renters moved into the house!

They put in two units 6 years ago and its been doing good.

It wasn't a comprehensive check. He opened the cabinet and said it was dirty and that was it.

Arrived on time and performed the required maintenance. I had complained about some loud unusual noises from the compressor outside when the unit turned on and off in the heating mode; he checked all the settings and pressures and set them to specs. The noise complaints seem to be resolved. I will use him again.

They were awesome. They were really good and cleaned up after themselves.

They did a great job. I would highly recommend them. I got them through Home Depot. They were one of Home Depot installers. I was worried about that, but it turned out to be perfect. They did everything they said they were going to. The price was comparable to any other vendors I looked at.

We had a general contract with them. They came out 4 times a year to check our heating and air conditioning. When our HVAC went out, we purchased a new one from them. When they installed it incorrectly, they installed it backwards. It messed up a bunch of stuff in the bathroom, messed up some of our duct work, and created a lot of mold in the house that made my husband and I very ill. It was not a pleasant experience. It took several visits and it cost us money that we never recuperated.

Overpriced, system failure after they service the unit, and they insisted that I needed a much more expensive fix than necessary. My spring service was performed on June 13th. The tech diagnosed a pinhole leak in the coil and added three pounds of R410A refrigerant. I was charge $65 per pound for a total of $195. Amazon priced the refrigerant at $99 for 25 pounds. On June 22nd my A/C unit stops working. After a message at 7:30am, I call Willard back at 10:30am when they do not return my call. I explain the situation and that I am surprised to being having issues less than 10 days after they performed the service. They review the notes, state the service tech recommended I replace the coil and that’s the issue. I am quoted around $2,800. I insisted that they should not be diagnosing the problem over the phone and I would like a tech to look at the system. I was told they could come on June 27th. After multiple calls and escalating discussions the appointment was moved up to June 24th. We get someone else out that night (June 22nd) for a 2nd opinion. This tech diagnoses a complete blockage of the TXV (metering valve), which he quoted $676 to replace. On June 24th, Willard sent out one of their best service techs and I stayed with him throughout. He determined there was a complete blockage of the TXV. He also searched hard to find a leak in the coil, which the sensor detected in the TXV. He saw some residue and insisted that there must be another leak he just could not find it. That day I call Brian Willard and left a voicemail. He returned my call on June 27th saying he was out on the 24th. He reviewed the service notes and explained the tech noted a leak in the coil and a blocked TXV and they recommend I replace the coil, which includes the TXV. I explained to Brian that I was there the whole time and the leak was detected in the TXV and the tech was unable to locate another leak. Brian said the tech was one of the best and he trusted his recommendation and reiterated that I needed a new coil. Brian was also unable to explain why I would have an issue so soon after they performed services, but was adamant that they could not have done anything to cause the problem. I requested they provide a quote to replace only the TXV, which later that day they provided at $673. I had to go out of town for a wedding over the July 4th holiday. On July 5th I called back Willard and was told the earliest available appointment was July 11th. This review has gotten very long and I have abbreviated the number of interactions and number of calls to Willard. Needless to say I have gotten extremely frustrated with the costs, their incessant recommendation that I need to spend $2,800 to replace an entire coil when their own tech only identified issues in the TXV, which would be $673 to replace. The other company came out the next day, July 6th, replaced the TXV and the A/C is working fine. Further, he performed a pressure test and did not note a leak. I still don’t understand how I go from a system working fine, undergoing routine maintenance to being inoperable in less than 10 days. Willard wants me to believe this is a coincidence, but I have a really hard time believing that. If you are considering Willard for service you make your own decision, but I will never do so again.

We have used Willard before and they were the original installers for our house. They were suppose to come between 12-3pm on Sunday, but on follow up call when they did not arrive, was told only 1 job in front of us and was assured they would come Sunday night between 5-7. No show on Sunday. Monday morning called and said best they could do was Monday night. They actually came around noon on Monday. Scheduling was friendly on the phone, but frankly showing up was the biggest issue. However, once the technician arrived, he did a fantastic job. James spent a couple of hours working on the two zones. He diagnosed the issues quickly, explained the reason the issues had occurred, suggested how to prevent in the future and cleaned the other 2 zones in our house. I was very impressed with his knowledge, work ethic and professionalism. I will request him in the future, and based on the quality of his work I will definitely recommend and use Willard again. I am assuming the scheduling issue was an anomaly. The price was initially misquoted as a weekend rate, but I called to question it and they corrected their error.

Responded to $89 coupon in mail offering tune up to include 2lbs of freon. On calling I was told they will not be honouring that deal for at least two weeks. I explained I already knew I had a leak and just wanted the freon top up - they said they would that but charge me full amount and not coupon offer. Please don't sent deals in the mail if you cannot deliver on them Lady on phone was unhelpful and unwilling to offer alternatives.

This is a very unreliable company. They are NOT customer friendly. They only work at their convenience. I did everything possible to use this company as I wanted to support local businesses,

Very professional and knowledgable. Excellent job. Wore shoe covers inside the house and took all garbage out with him. Had a coupon. In addition to checking out air conditioner, he replaced air filter, fixed therostat, installed batteries in two smoke detectors and installed our new carbon monoxide detector. He spent one hour checking everything out. The bill was the coupon price. No add-ons for all of the extras he did. Like the family owned and operated concept. Their headquarters are local . Would certainly use Willards again.

Eric and his helper arrived about 9 am Monday morning and started working. During install we ran into a wiring issue, but luckily I found S S Electric who sent out someone within a couple hours to fix the problem by the next morning, so work could resume Tuesday. The guys got as much as they could do done for the day Monday, then came back out Tuesday to finish up. The guys were both very professional, went to great extent to use care in the house with foot covers, drop clothes and such. My only complaint would be smoking at the job site. I'm not a big fan. Most of the time they were courteous to do it outside away from anyone, but with kiddos I'm not a big fan of it *personal preference. They did a great install and were even patient while I modified the closet to fit the new unit. I was impressed at how they tapped and put mastic on where the unit jointed into the duct work below. It appeared they knew what they were doing and seem to have done a great install. Time will tell, but so far I've been extremely happy within their work. *After install I ran across a little something that wasn't done properly. In the outside unit install they ran a line through a fencing system that is around the outside of the home to add extra protection around skirting in the back. The fencing will have to be cut away in the future to actually remove it since the line was run through it.

He replaced a part on it but then the system went down. We felt like the part he replaced he should have reimbursed us for it and instead he gave us the part and I thought that was a little chancy. He should have put it back on the inventory and he could have used it again because the system went down.

All went well but the guy that installed was new and did not put in correctly. However, once we noticed there was a problem, they sent over a more experienced technician and fixed the problem immediately. have had no problems since. They were very professional and the price was reasonable. Would recommend and use them again.

The unit produces cool air at first and seems to give up or start pushing hot air usually after about an hour. Technician didn't see anything physically wrong but thinks it just gets overworked for the space. We came to a similar conclusion before the service call and will be looking at a ductless Mitsubishi unit for the space before next summer.

Willard did a great job overall. I called to inquire about scheduling a technician and was quoted an amount for a 2-system AC pre-season tune up. I also discussed with them an error code that was appearing on our thermostat. They explained that the tune-up included a calibration of the thermostat to detect the problem. The technician arrived on time and worked very efficiently. He did the tune-ups and calibrations on the units and determined that there was an issue with the wiring on one of our AC units. He fully explained the issue with us as well as the associated pricing. He repaired the wiring and the error code was fixed immediately. He also discussed with us the best filters to use as well as other services that they could perform. He did this in a very professional way without being too pushy. Several months later, we had the same person come out and replace our filters. He was very efficient and the price was exactly as we were told during the first visit. We will continue to use them for our air conditioning and heating needs.

This company has a 24 hour 7 day a week service. I HIGHLY appreciated that benefit in this company! When I called I was informed that there were some vans in my area and one would be sent. After About 4 hours I called back and asked for an estimated time of arrival. Was told a technician was finishing up, and would be on the way shortly. Considering it was a Sunday evening, a 4 plus hour wait time for getting my A/C worked on is pretty good I guess.... I met the tech on his arrival and let him know of the probable capacitor problem. Sure enough, it was not working. He replaced it, did a check on other functions of the unit, and got my A/C up and cooling again. Work done took about 20 minutes; employee was well mannered and professional; price was kind of high ( I am sort of a cheap person.....so your thoughts on this one may be different). Will probably shop around next time; however, because current weather temps are over 100 degrees during the day.... having air conditioning is pretty much a and quot;gotta haveand quot; !!
