EMS Heating & Air Conditioning

I bought the 5 ton outside unit for my home through EMS. They were supposed to install it within 2-3 days. Over a Month later, & temperatures in the three digits, I am still with no air conditioner. EMS claims they are waiting for a TXV to come in. One would think it possible to walk from anywhere in the United States in that amount of time. The thing that's puzzling is they failed to check if the new outside unit was compatible with the existing equipment. I requested to talk to someone in authority several times to no avail. I fill helpless at this point. There is very little you can do once they've made the sale. A word to the wise avoid my mistake.

After the review I previously posted, the EMS owner made things right and refunded costs of the repairs. I appreciate the refund and the fact that EMS was generous enough to refund the full amount when they did not have to.

This company has no integrity and no honor. They blatantly beak their own written contract and blame the customer. They do nothing to remedy their mistakes and take no responsibility for being wrong. They demand up front payment, but then break their contract and don’t perform the work they were already paid for. I paid $1200 and they provided written contract stating a 9 hour repair window with a guaranteed 30 min notice of arrival. However, no notice was given and technician simply showed up in our doorstep unannounced. We live in a gated neighborhood as well and since we were not contacted, he illegally obtained access by tailgating another resident into our neighborhood as well. When we realized he was on our porch from our doorbell camera, I called them to state he never called to say he was on the way and that I was returning to the home so don’t leave. But, being a company that is just looking to make a quick buck with no integrity or loyalty or honor to their word, the technician was told to just leave and cancel our repair. Of course, they didn’t bother to call us about that either and kept our $1200!!! When I call to find out where is the technician, they take no responsibility for breaking their own written contract and want to place all blame on the customer. They refuse to acknowledge technician never bothered to contact us when he was 30 min away as written in their agreement and take no measure to address their mistakes and poor business practices. Once again here is another company simply looking to make money with no concern for integrity or honor or being a stand-up business. Customers are disposable and they don’t care about honoring their word and contract. Don’t believe the statement they provide about being family owned and having any concern for customers. They are after 1 thing only and that is money regardless of how they get it. Avoid them at all costs and go with a company that actually stands by their word and honors their contract.

Mike and Eric are both great guys to work with. I have used them for everything from simple repairs to system replacement. Today we awoke to a cold house. Mike quickly responded and found out that its was just a bad part that was replaced immediately. These two men are the best you could hope to find for any of you heat or AC needs. Thanks guys!

I called EMC Heating and Air after I found their ad on Angie's List. I was looking for a company that did not charge a service fee just to come out and diagnose my problem. I wanted a second opinion after being told the previous day that my A/C unit needed a new compressor or entire unit needed to be replaced. I spoke with a very friendly and helpful Eric on the phone and the same goes for Mike who actually came to the house to service our A/C. He promptly found our problems...1. an incorrect capacitor (combination of 3) had been rigged and rewired to work previously 2. the fan motor which was replaced previously had been running in reverse due to wrong motor rotation. Keep in mind...these 2 problems were the result of the same company that just told me that it was not fixable and needed to be replaced for thousands of dollars. Mike fixed both of our issues and our A/C is running perfectly! We are so very thankful for EMC's prompt, friendly, helpful, informative and most importantly HONEST service. It is not easy to find honest service providers these days and it's difficult to know who you can trust and who you can't. They have gained a customer for life and we will be referring them to anyone we know who needs A/C or heating services.
