Rick is a wonderful Real Estate agent with which to work. He is extremely knowledgeable and unbelievably professional. A lot of real estate agents are very pushy and always trying to get you to do what they think will get them their commission faster. Rick is absolutely not like that. He is very laid back, and will support you in any decision that you think will be best for your family. Here are the details behind my recommendation. In 2007, we began looking for a bigger house as we were starting a family and needed more room. Rick was a seller's agent on a house we viewed and we were very impressed with his knowledge, approach, and honesty. So, we hired him as our buyer's agent. He was very patient with us as we viewed dozens of homes and tried to figure out what we needed. He helped us choose a house and make a bid. We were outbid on the house and would have continued to offer a higher price, but Rick advised that we really think before we went any higher as he had doubts about that decision. Ultimately, we followed his advice and we are SOOOOO glad that we did. A couple of weeks later, Rick showed us a house that was not even listed yet. He knew the people selling the house and got us a sneak preview of the house. He was right, it was perfect for us. We made an offer right away and got the house at an amazing price with his help. Once we made an offer, we found out that our current house had serious foundation problems and was going to be very difficult to sell. Once again, Rick came to the rescue. He came up with a strategy to sell the house at a rock bottom price and list it As-Is. The house sold in less than 3 days. When the buyer of our house tried to back out because the repairs were more than she thought, Rick once again, helped us work through it with the buyer. The sale went through on both houses. Two and a half years later, we needed to move out of state for a job relocation. We were hesitant to put it on the market while we still occupied the house because we had 3 dogs and 2 toddlers and the house was not conducive to a well marketed home. He worked with us to find a solution that would accomplish our goals: sell the house as quickly as possible, and not endanger our kids or dogs' welfare. When we left town, we turned the house over to his care with complete confidence that he would take care of everything. After the first two weeks on the market, we had no traffic in the house. Rick had also talked to his collegues about potential buyers' reaction to the house. He then called us and told us that we needed to make a marketing change. We followed his advice and two weeks later, had a contract on the house. We handled the sale long distance as we could not return to Texas for the closing. There were several issues along the way that were major road blocks, but Rick handled everything and made the whole process seem like a breeze. The house was officially sold in October. Two months later, we realized that we left a lot of sentimental items in one of the attics in our house in Texas. We called Rick, and he went by the house and talked to the new owners and arranged for us to be able to get our stuff. I mean, that is service. He has no reason to help us other than he is an amazing person and total professional. I cannot recommend him enough.
