National Property Inspections

I contacted Sean through his website late in the evening, and promptly got a call back first thing the next morning. Sean gave us his next available timeslot, about a week out. He arrived promptly a few minutes before his scheduled time, and sat down for a few minutes to walk through the process on what he'd be doing. Sean was very proactive up front, being sure to have indoor shoes vs outdoor shoes to keep the floors clean, and worked with us to move our vehicle out of the front of the electrical panel in the garage so as not to scratch it while he worked on that portion of the inspection. I observed him working, and he is very thorough - Walked the exterior, taking lots of notes and pictures. He surveyed the entire roof, and again lots of picture taking. All systems were tested including sprinkler systems, electrical/GFCI systems, water leaks, smoke alarms, appliances, windows, doors, and locks. Along the way he would interview with us to get any additional concerns we had noted so as to include those in the report. Upon completion of the inspection and survey, we sat for some time talking through every section. He had taken well over 60+ pictures, and discussed items of concern and minor items. He was thorough in helping us prioritize those that should take a contractor to repair, and those items that might consider self-fixing. He also spent time addressing items that wouldn't meet today's code vs meeting code at the time it was installed, and outlining items we might consider changing. He promised to have the completed report done by the next morning, but amazingly it showed up the same day around 8 hours after completion of the inspection. The level of detail included was appreciated, as it not only talks to each item but the use of clear pictures with arrows that point to the exact areas of concern is helpful, and gives us a complete checklist of items to address. Sean was very professional in every way, ensuring that before he left the house was back the way he found it - lights off, doors shut, etc. I felt like I got a bargain based on the quantity and quality of the work being done.

Sean was on top of things calling and verifying I would be there. He showed up exactly on time and was very professional. I'm amazed at the detail he included in his report and all for $350-. (He gave me a $25 discount for being an Angie's list member. how cool is that?) His report came back to me the very next day and all I can say is that I will definitely be using Sean again should the need arise (but I hope this is my last move.) You won't be sorry you chose Mr. Green.

WOW! Great service, great detail. Sean was fabulous. He provided a very thorough inspection of a house we had made an offer on. He provided great detail on all areas of concern, and documented all with pictures. He was professional, courteous, prompt, and thorough. His detail alllowed us to get quick estimates to negotiate with the seller. As a side note, we met with a remodeler who had been in business just after receiving Sean's report. He said it was one of the most extensive and well done inspection reports he had ever seen. We were very pleased and will definitely recommend Sean to friends and use his services again ourselves should the need arise.

Sean was on time. Stayed very professional throughout the inspection. The guy is very thorough. This was my first home inspection ever and I could see how he went through everything...of course I stayed through the whole thing. The only thing he may have missed was the fruit fly in the backyard tree. It was quite an experience. He was able to accomodate my curiosity and my questions. His reports are very detailed...maybe too much, but great! I guess it's better to have more than less, right? He takes tons of pictures and incorporates them in the report. He is not the cheapest guy in the market, but his services are worth every cent. I would hire him again!

Sean arrived on time and ready to go to work. He explained how he was going to inspect the home and what he would be looking for. He answered all of our questions while inspecting the home very carefully. This was a top to bottom inspection and he covered the home completely. During the inspection Sean would point out problems that needed repair and would offer tips on how to do it the correct way. After the inspection Sean gave us a detailed rundown of the problems with the home and within 24 hours we had the written report. I would not hesitate to recommend NPI. They are top notch!

In order to prepare our house for sale, we decided to have a pre-inspection / Seller's inspection performed to identify any issues early on and have the opportunity to repair them. On the scheduled day of inspection, Paul arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He explained to us the inspection process, and also encouraged us to walk the house with him, so he could explain all findings and discuss them with us. The entire inspection took about 3 hours. Paul was extremely thorough and identified both little and big areas of repair and each time he made a finding, he provided us with information on how to fix it or what type of professional to contact. All in all it was an excellent experience, and we would definitely recommend Paul to family and friends, and plan to use him again in the future when we buy a new house. Additionally two days after the inspection Paul provided us with a detailed report via email that reiterated all of his findings, and provided guidance in writing.

Sean did a fabulous job. He was punctual, wrote his report the same day and emailed it to us (we were from out of state). He called us on the phone and explained to us all of his findings. He was not able to inspect the attic because the current owners had a car blocking access to the attic. He went back a few days ago just to inspect that. That was very nice and thoughtful of hi, His report was very thorough. I bought four houses so far and by far he is the best inspector we have ever had. My wife is a realtor in Illinois and deals with inspectors on a regular basis and thought very highly of him.

I called Sean to schedule an inspection. He was very courteous and patient over the phone. He wasn't available for the inspection so he sent his partner, Bud, to perform the inspection. Bud was very thorough with his inspection. He allowed me to follow him around and answered all of my questions completely and patiently (I had a LOT as this was my first house purchase). He caught a lot of little issues that I wouldn't have noticed. I received a detailed inspection report within 24 hours. The only thing he didn't catch was that part of the HVAC system was un-insulated in the attic. However, it was a safety issue for him to get back to the part of the attic where this was visible. I had to purchase some plywood and crawl on my hands and knees under a low sloping roofline to be able to see the HVAC line. I completely understand why this is something that would not be able to be performed during an inspection for safety reasons. I am very satisfied and would definitely use this company again.

This was the first time we hired a home inspector, and were very pleased with Sean's service. He was prompt, took time to explain, and sent us a very detailed report. Sean found some things that our builder needed to repair before moving into our new home. The repairs we didn't have to make as a result of his inspection were definitely worth more than the $300 we paid for the inspection.
