They installed carpet and it had wrinkled really badly across the room after three to five years. They cam back to see if it was a carpet failure or an install issue. He thought it was an install issue, but I don't agree. He said they could restretch it, but they never came back. They said they would call me. I called them multiple times and no one will even return a phone call. I kept getting emails from them to rate their work. I gave them the lowest marks possible, and it was never even posted on the website. I am so done with them.

It was complicated. We went and spoke to a gentleman who quoted us a price to have our floor done and we said go ahead and do it and we paid for it. The people came to do the floor and they were like we can't do this because you don't have enough sub flooring and I said, well I have already paid for it to be put in and so we want the floor put in. And my husband took over at that point and basically there were a bunch of phone calls and arguing and I said we have already paid for the service. So they compromised and we ended up paying for our sub flooring but a discounted price and then they put the floor it. But they weren't going to put the floor in because we sub flooring and at first we thought we didn't need to pay for the sub flooring because we told you what we wanted and in fact you didn't need to come to the house so you told us what it was going to be and so we paid it. We paid paid lie $1200 for one room and then it ended up being double that and it ended up being like $2400 and that was a surprise.
Description of Work: They ripped up the carpet and laid down aluminum that looks like hardwood floor.

Your total bill was $1527.42 including the subfloor add-on. The subfloor add-on was an unforeseen expense due to what was underneath your existing surface flooring. Subfloor issues cannot always be detected until the cover flooring has been pulled up. I'm sure you can understand why our sales people are not allowed to rip up your carpet to see what lie beneath when they are doing a quote. The contract you initialed clearly warned of problems that could arise once your existing flooring had been removed. Your signed contract stated: ______ UNFORSEEN LABOR: After removal of existing flooring, problems may appear that were not visible prior to removal. Rough, cracked, unleveled concrete, etc. are a few of the conditions which are not suitable for installation of your new flooring. Should unforeseen problems occur, you will be notified before we continue as additional charges may be necessary. We will not be responsible for such charges and all monies for unforeseen labor are due prior to commencing the work. We are not responsible for loose, squeaky, or damaged sub- floors. I'm sorry you feel you were not treated fairly. We've been in business for over 40 years and our #1 goal is customer satisfaction. It was okay. They resurfaced two fireplaces and they did a bathroom floor. I know that I'm not using them again because they are too expensive. There was nothing wrong with the product. Their workmanship was not as good. The installers were great. What they could have done differently was in the scheduling of my job. They scheduled the job and they rescheduled it and that was a problem for me because I was having company and so they ended up coming and working after my company had already arrived. So, I guess I would say scheduling is one of the biggest problems. And then after that, their pricing of their materials is very high. What they did well was their showroom was really pretty. What they could have done differently is they could have kept the original schedule.

Sometimes product takes longer than expected to arrive and other times our installers are delayed by jobs taking longer than anticipated but we do our very best to meet our commitments. We know our customers have re-arranged their schedules for the installations and it's very rare we don't meet our obligations. However, things do come up and we apologize for that. They became persistent when I got laid off from work. I told them that I needed to put it on the back burner for a while, and they didn't like that. They were very responsive, and the guy that show up to do the estimate got perturbed that we wouldn't sign a contract right there on the spot. I felt rushed at that point.

Flooring was installed and damage was caused to several items. No replies to complaint from corporate office. Flower Mound location was used. Order Number: CG404582 Had approx 750 sq ft of tile installed on the floor. When they were finished they stated they ran out of tile and molding. Probably an error taking measurements. They didn't show up or call for two weeks. Finally they did return and finish the install. The install actually looks great but they were careless during the install. The broke a seal on a bathroom sink causing water leak, improperly reinstalled the dish washer, cracked the water line to the refrigerator causing water leak, put a dent on the front of the dishwasher. I talked to Billie Brandenburg on the phone and also corresponded through emails and she responded that someone from the corporate office would call. I never received a call. I obtained the phone number to the office that was suppose to contact me and left a voice mail. To this day I have never received a phone call. I can't complain about the flooring but the damage they caused would not allow me to use or recommend this company again. Customer service is horrible.
We had hardwoods installed in three rooms and our hallways. Pre-sales support was great, they came out to the house and measured and provided a quote. I got a follow up call, but was not harassed or pressured. Scheduling was quick, painless and the crew showed up on time and did an excellent job on the install. Got a few calls regarding the final payment, which was due before the job started, but they were up front about the payment policy when I placed the order and deposit. Unfortunately, once they did receive the final payment, that's the last we heard from them. No one ever stopped by, called or followed up to ensure the installation went OK. The evening after the install we had a problem with two of the transitions, and figured a phone call would result in some quick action to rectify the situation, especially after being assured of their excellent service and support. It took weeks of repeated calls, eventually direct to the corporate headquarters, before we got any response other than promises for return calls that never came. It's really a shame, everything went so smoothly and perfectly up until we had an issue. We would have been return/repeat customers had they handled the situation differently, instead we will not be using them again. They sure don't mind getting a hold of you to make that final payment, just don't expect the same courtesy if you have an issue. And the fact that no one even bothered to place a follow up call after dropping thousands on flooring is simply inexcusable.

I made my final decisions and gave them a deposit. They told me that within three days or so, someone will be calling me about the installation. I told them that I really want it installed by Easter weekend because some of my family members were coming out to visit. A week went by so I called them up and they told me that my number didn't get posted on the order but I gave them my home and cell numbers and I haven't had any calls. Another whole week went by and so I called again and they said it must be the paperwork this time. I was so mad and I told them they had to get it in by Easter but they didn't have the installer because they were really busy and they didn't think they can make it by Easter. Then, they told me that they were trying to find other installers and that they'll call me. Not one time during the whole thing did they call me. They installed on the Friday before Easter and I told them I would never do business with them again. The president came by and said they were going to call me back and give me the best price. He said he was not really happy about it and that they'll care of me. I never heard from them again. I think their pricing was fair enough and their quality was okay.
Description of Work: They replaced all the carpeting in the stairs and the whole upstairs.
They were excellent. We are so happy. It was a lot of work. They had three guys. It took them eight days. We checked a lot of places. It was probably the sales people that made it great for us. We kept coming back and we kept getting samples. They came out to our house and they talked with us. They seemed to be continually interested in finding what we wanted that would make the house look good and please us. We never felt pushed or that they were getting tired out of it, because we really were not quite sure what we wanted. They worked with us so well and were so pleasant. Their prices were competitive. I'm sure we probably could have found something somewhere for maybe a little bit less, but we wanted a good product. We wanted something that would look good in our house; it's an investment. We have puppies, so we couldn’t go with wood. We researched it and they helped us research it. We settled on the porcelain. Their people that came and did the work were absolutely amazing. They were so hardworking, so polite and did a meticulous job. It was all in all a wonderful experience. The price was good for what we got. We have recommended them to our friends. We loved the salespeople. They all helped us. Even the ones that weren't in charge of our account, they were there to help us too. I was thoroughly impressed with the three guys that came and installed. Both the installers and salespeople were excellent.
Description of Work: My Flooring America - Flower Mound did all of our floors. We got two thirds of our house done. They put in porcelain. We had a water heater leak, so we had carpet that was ruined. We had to get that replaced, so that's how it started. While they were going to do that, we decided to do the rest of the house because it's an older home. We decided to go ahead and make the change. We took carpet out. There was ceramic tile in some of the areas so they had to chisel that off. One room had hardwood that was ruined, so we had to take that out too. They had to take ceramic tile, wood and carpeting out.

They were excellent. We had to have some foundation work done, and in the process did carpeting work done as well. They were very responsive as far as calling how we are doing, and if they will be on time. One thing we noticed was that we have some very heavy furniture, I have an entertainment center that is huge, and these guys were moving it by hand, and I asked them why they didn't use slides. They didn't have any, and we had a neighbor who had some, and he brought them over, but they had never heard of them. They did an excellent job, and the carpeting looks great.

Biggest issue is that tiles were not laid level in many places. As an example I now have to place a shim under a table leg to keep the table from wobbling. Salesperson never came to check the work. Has since left company. Have visited store twice since and company has shown no interest in even looking at the problem. I will not shop there again.

Result is fine, but the wood installation crew arrived late in the promised time window on first day and did not get much done, then later rushed to finish on time and did not clean up after themselves. Several pieces of wood flooring were not properly stained or had scratches and had to be replaced, which the store did do. They did not address damages to several pieces of furniture, even though these were brought to the store's attention. Communication between the store and its installation crews was not good, nor did the store make a strong effort to communicate with us.
Description of Work: Wood flooring throughout 1,800 square foot home except for kitchen, bathroom and 3 bedrooms. Carpet in the 3 bedrooms.

Overall, installation went well. The carpet installers broke a piece of furniture and tried to repair it without telling us. The company did replace the item, but it took a month to get the replacement (their handling felt a little clunky), but in the end they did fix the problem. We like our new floors and have received compliments.

We liked that My Flooring America sales rep was very straight forward.
Description of Work: My Flooring America installed new carpeting and removed the old carpet.
My Flooring America gave great customer service and also performed quality work with a quality product. We had decided to remodel the master bath at the same time flood repairs were done. They coordinated with the general contractor but also kept in contact with us to make sure everything was done correctly. Regardng the floors, the product is fantastic. On the service, they went out of their way. Unfortunately, they missed a closet which was originally carpet. They came early on a Saturday morning to correct that. They were more urgent about getting that fixed than I was. Second, one of the transition pieces (to the laundyr room) was difficult to get over in wheelchair. They hand made a transition piece that was lower and easy to get over. Regarding the tile, we were limited in available time to select the tile for the remodel. Our rep met us at the store after hours so we could pick the tile so that the overall project was not delayed. I was so happy with their work and dealing with them, I would rate them higher than an A if it were available!

Went very well, the crew took about 2 and a half days to remove old flooring, move furniture, level floor in bad spots, repair cracks and install the 1100 square feet of flooring. I removed all the baseboard and replaced it with new baseboard once they were finished. They had to come back twice to re-install the transitions. There were a couple of bad pieces of hardwood flooring that were put down with gouges in them. The crew removed these pieces and re-installed new pieces. They also undercut the fireplace hearth to make the install look much cleaner.
Description of Work: Purchased 1360 square feet of hardwood flooring (engineered), had 300 square feet of old hardwood flooring removed and had 1100 square feet of the hardwood installed, with 6 transitions (will have the remainder flooring installed when another room is finished).

Overall it went fairly well, but there were a few hiccups. The installation date had to be rescheduled three times. At first, it was weather-related, the two other times were due to apparent mis-steps on the part of Wayne (accidental "double-scheduling" according to him). At least once, we had to initiate the call to confirm whether or not the installation was still going to occur the following day. The other issue I had, was that throughout the sales experience, he emphasized how he would personally inspect our home after the carpet had been installed. He did not. Nor did he ever follow-up with a call to see how the installation went, ask if we were satisfied, or express his gratitude, etc. As it turns our we are satisfied with the installation and the carpet, but I expect a higher degree of professionalism and service, especially when doing business with a small, specialty services store like this one (and likely paying top-of-market prices).
