M.B. Colditz / Four Generation

I wanted to share the incredible experience I had working with Brooke, owner of Four Gen Custom Cabinetry!! Still styling shelves, but so happy with their work on our custom builtins, I had to share! They built and painted offsite and install took 2 days. We also had him add upper cabinets to the ceiling in our kitchen and he flawlessly matched all custom details on the trim and cabinet doors. For the fourth time in two years, we asked Brooke Colditz of Fourgen to build a new vanity and cabinets for us. This time, it was in a full bath, and in addition to the vanity (including drawers and cabinets), we needed cabinets made for over the commode and a very large floor-to-ceiling linen closet in the same room. Brooke visited our house to see exactly what we wanted, drafted plans, sent us a proposal once we had approved the design, built and painted the cabinets, and then installed them, all within our expected timeframe. The cabinets were very well built, the paint job was perfect, and the installation went smoothly. In the course of working with him on this bathroom, we also asked Brooke to replace the trim on several doorways closet to the bathroom, which he did. He matched the new trim to nearby doorways and installed them in a short amount of time. We intend to call on Brooke again in the future for additional projects. (Indicated cost of service includes new cabinets + additional trim work that I requested.)

Brooke Colditz designed, built and installed beautiful new cabinets for our separate his/her vanities and over our commodes, as well as a tall unit built into a wall for additional storage, and a wood skirt around our bathtub. Brooke listened carefully to what we wanted, advised us on the selection of wood for the cabinets, worked with us on the finish for the wood, and designed beautiful cabinets that we love. Probably the most interesting part of this project was that we wanted drawers and cabinets with no pulls, so he produced a design for us to that had groves in the wood on the top (or the bottom, as needed) so we could easily pull the cabinets and drawers open. Best of all, he lined the groves with metal to make them stronger. The finish was a light gray glaze with streaks that looked like wood grain. They perfectly complement the new granite countertops. The drawers are all soft-close, and the inside of the cabinets and drawers are well-built and smoothly finished in white. They seem to us to be bigger than what we had before. The tub "skirt" was a last-minute change; we decided to use wood around the bottom of the tub instead granite so that plumbers could have easy access to the valves and motor under the tub if necessary. Brooke produced a beautiful design that ties together the his/her vanities and the countertops; it looks better than we ever imagined. When we decided to eliminate a door in the bathroom, Brooke re-did the doorway so that it looks as if there never was a door there. Brooke is very professional, listens closely to what we wanted, and produces a first-class result. It's obvious that he cares about the final product and is proud of his artistry. He also strive to give us what we wanted. We love the cabinets, and we've already hired Brooke for another project in our home.
