Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound

I made an appointment online, which was very convenient because I could make it when they were closed. There was an opening the next day, he called first, was early, effecient, educated me on some simple things that I could do myself, and told me what to watch for in the future. Very friendly, quick and knowledgeable and clearly honest, as I would have had him do everything on the list, but he explained why some were not necessary.

I was at home when I heard a noise like water running. I checked to see if any faucets were left on, but there were none. I happened to go to the garage, and there it was water flooding the garage. I thought something was wrong with the water heater, but is was just replaced brand new last year. Anyway, I discovered the water coming from the wall, and then checked my study which was on the other side of that wall to discover it too was being flooded. I was panicked trying to get the water shut off and I had no idea who to call, so of course, I checked Angies List and called Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound. I spoke to Chelsea, on a Thursday afternoon when this first happened, and she was very helpful. They were backed up however and she didn't know if she could get someone over until after the weekend. I know she could tell I was panicked and thank goodness she was able to get one of the plumbers to come over that afternoon to see exactly what was happening with the leak. The young man, Bryan, that came by was great, he looked it over and determined that is was a homeowners worst nightmare, a slab leak. He was very careful and polite, and made sure it was OK with me to cut out some sheetrock to try and narrow down where the leak might be. He told me that we would have to get their master plumber over with leak detection equipment to detect as close as possible, the area where the pipe was broken. He worked to see if it was the hot or cold water line, so that he could leave us with some water if possible. He did discover that it was the hot water line, and was able to turn the water back on on the cold side so that we would at least have some water to the home. In addition while he was doing all this, he discovered that the exhaust on our gas hot water heater was not vented properly, and fixed that for me while he was here. In addition he gave me some advice on how to make sure it was properly vented, and having told him we were having the roof replaced, he offered advice on making sure that the roofing company properly vented the water heater while replacing the roof. Bryan was just fantastic, very polite and extremely helpful when I needed it most. I was VERY impressed. He told me exactly what the price would be on the leak detection, and as close as possible what the price would be to repair the leak assuming that it was where they thought it would be and there were no surprises. I appreciated knowing right up front a range of what the cost would be. By the way, after the job was complete, the cost was EXACTLY what he told me it would be. All this happened on the day I discovered the leak. The master plumber, Michael, called me shortly after to set up a time to do the leak detection. We set up for the following Monday, which was no problem since Bryan was able to leave us with cold water for the weekend. They were able to detect the area of the leak, and set up to do the work the next day. They told me it would take 2 to 3 days to complete assuming that the leak was in the area, and that there were no other breaks in the line. I thought this was very reasonable considering they had to take out concrete repair the leak, have the city inspect it and cover the hole back up with concrete. Bryan began work the next day, and was very careful about protecting our home. He took a lot of time setting up plastic so that the concrete dust would be contained and not get all over our belongings and staircases in the study when he started jackhammering out the concrete. He had to cut out about a 2 foot by 4 foot section of concrete to locate the leak, and set up to repair the pipe the next day. To finish up, Bryan was able to repair the pipe, and pressure test to make sure there were no leaks, he had the work inspected, and was able to fill the hole back in with concrete all within the time frame he originally gave me. Bryan was very considerate, very professional and did a great job for us during a rather trying time. We very much appreciate the work that was performed by Absolute Plumbing, and could not believe that they completed all the work they did for us at the price they gave. This company obviously does business the right way. They are more than fair on their price and the work was excellent. I will only use Absolute Plumbing for any of my future plumbing needs, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They are fantastic; they are the only plumber we use. They're on time and very good at communication. If there are alternatives, they'll tell you to do something different.

they did an excellent job and came out quick. He also gave me some advice on my kitchen faucet valves. I was impressed because the technician remembered when he came to my home about a year ago to replace valves in the bathroom. This is the second time I have called on Absolute and would absolutely use them again.

Very happy with the experience. Michael very quickly diagnosed several issues with the shower plumbing and the grout. He very quickly and efficiently sealed all the plumbing threads and caulked the fixtures. Very happy with the work he did and the cost for the repairs. These guys should be at the top of your list for any plumbing work.

Brian explained everything to me as he was doing it. I ran the dishwasher so he could see what was leaking. He diagnosed and fixed the leaks, he also installed a high loop for the air gap needed instead of the current one that was overflowing on top of the granite on the sink. He removed the Water filter system and reconnected everything the way it should be without the water filter system. He took everything away so I didn't have to deal with disposal of the tank, etc. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely hire them again.

When I called re the frozen pipes and asked what to do, he was very responsive and said he would be there that day. He did come out, but then just stood there and said there was nothing TO do. Either the pipe would thaw and all would be well, or it would burst. Told me to look for water running out of the wall and said I would hear it should it burst. He charged me for that visit, even though he just gave the same advice for free on the phone to others I referred to him during the Big Freeze of Feb 2011. We had him back to do a routine clean of the two tankless water heaters (before I knew he was charging me for that first non-working 15 min visit). He was here maybe 1.5 hours total, and charged $450, plus the full service call for the frozen pipe drop-in visit (I could be slightly off on figures, as I can't find my bill, but this is my best recollection). When he left, we had no hot water at all, as he had forgotten to finish putting the system back to functioning. He had to drive back later that day to finish. No apology for that. Found out later that this is an exorbitant rate for the time spent (I called several area plumbers), as there was nothing wrong with the water heaters, and so this was just a routine check. Certainly I would have been better off paying an hourly rate. The plumber we now use charges one quarter of what Absolute does for these routine cleanings.

They did a very, very good job. The gentleman that came in did the work quickly and efficiently. He was on time, friendly, honest and knowledgeable. I thought he was going to have to remove the whole spigot outside and he said he just needed to replace the washer so he was very honest. I was very happy with the work.

There was some trouble removing the existing faucet because of rusted bolts, but job was still completed, including clean-up, in about an hour. Nice guy, good work, fair price

I was very satisfied with my experiences with Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound. The job went well. The workers did what they said they were going to do. It was on a rental property. I would recommend this company.

My kitchen sink had been stopped up for a month and continually became worse. After trying a do-it-yourself fix with drain cleaners and snakes, decided a professional plumber needed to address this problem which went beyond a simple stopped up sink. The service man had a thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and septic tanks.

I am absolutely thrilled with how this went. I called Absolute Plumbing of Flower Mound and talked to Mary. Mary asked a series of relevant questions then provided me with a detailed verbal quote complete with exactly what would be done and the cost. We set an appointment and they received a permit from the city (permit fee included in quote). The plumber showed up on time, was very communicative regarding what was going to take place and was very polite and professional. At one point in the installation process the plumber and I had a conversation about how to maintain the water heater long term. I had several questions and he was very knowledgeable and provided clear, professional answers. The work was completed without a hitch, the inspector came out this morning and the installation passed. No surprises and I paid exactly what was quoted. I am already planning to have them do more work. I have used Baker Brothers and Benjamin Franklin in the past, and were happy with both, but Absolute Plumbing has been the best experience yet.

The job was not finished and I am not happy with a job they did.

I called Absolute to get an idea of how much it would cost to have an in-sink hot water unit replaced. I was told that there is a $45 service charge to come to the house and that plumbing effort would be $90 per hour. The replacement effort was estimated at between 1.0 and 1.5 hours. I was also told that it would be cheaper if I purchased the hot water unit and had it available when the plumber arrived. I purchased the unit and then made an appointment for the plumber on the Absolute website. The plumber that came was Michael, and he was very polite and professional. He completed the work in 1.0 hour and clean up everything before he left. The overall work was completed at the low end of the estimate and I was given a 10% discount since it was Absolute's first visit to my house.

Company was easy to deal with on the phone and they responded quickly. The pulmber showed me how he had replaced the ring so we would be able to do it if we ever needed to. Also gave us some suggestions for a few things to help the toilet run better. It was great advice for our old house.

All good, no complaints whatsoever.

I used their service just last week. They do pretty good work. They are quick and efficient.

The job went just fine. They had to come more than once, but they took care of the problem. They were very helpful with it because I was doing it long distance. They really were open working with me. I was really pleased with them.

As an out-of-town property owner, I highly value communication. Absolute Plumbing allows on-line appointment scheduling, they're prompt, professional, with excellent communication and coordination! All of this at an extremely reasonable cost. They arrived at the property as scheduled, and within 24 hours located and repaired a hidden water leak in the front yard; a leak which had increased the occupants water usage 2x, yet could not be found by the HOA or the county water district. I will use Absolute Plumbing again, and recommend that you use them as well.

Getting this done was so easy! I scheduled appt online the day before and received an email confirming appt. They called the next day saying they were running a little early and if they could come by within the hour. Bryan cleaned up when he was through and left no mess. Will use them for next job.

Excellent and prompt service. Have had two follow up calls as on faucet couldn't be fixed after Absolute researched brand and secured special parts. Final not complete yet but company has been outstanding to work with.

Excellent service from Michael and Bryan. Arrived when scheduled. Services were reasonably priced. I will always use Absolute Plumbing in the future.

The operator was courteous and the plumber was punctual. He located the source of the gas leak and performed a system test to determine if any other leaks were present. I would use this company again.
