Used the Angie's List coupon, $99. Work scheduled by e-mail the following week from 12-2 pm. I called provider at 1:30 pm to make sure they were still coming, he said yes, were running behind. Worker, Angel, arrived at 4 pm. He was not fluent in English, or didn't act like it....don't mind the nationality of any worker, but would appreciate their being able to communicate in English. I downgraded the professionalism to B for lack of communication. He was able to fix the wooden fence gate that was dragging on the concrete. He adjusted the latch & hinges in about 30 min.

Everything went well. Would use again.

I have a very high cedar fence in the backyard (stone is 8' and with the fence it's 16' to 17' high), which required a very tall ladder and several new boards to replace old cracked boards. The boards were purchased by the company owner/installer, and the job was done very nicely, and professionally. Even though this was a small project, it was not easy to get to these fence areas/height--the company owner/installer did a great job! I would highly recommend this company!

He came out right away on a Saturday and was efficient. His price was comparable. He cleaned up the trash and had his own equipment. He did give me a discount for being an Angie's List member.

Joe explained how everything works and then replaced the battery. He asked if I had used the Angie's list special which I was not aware of so he gave it to me plus the cost of the battery. I would definitely use Joe again and would recommend him to others.

They did exactly what they said that would. The dispatcher said the repairman would be out to the house between 12 and 2 the day after I called. I received a call at 12:30 day of that they were on their way. By 2:30(ish) the work was complete. They repaired the broken weld, moved the locking mechanism, cleaned up, and even put a coat of black pain over the work. I would use again and recommend to others.

The gate now works perfectly with plenty of ground clearance. They also lubricated everything and now the gate is QUIET. I don't remember when it was that quiet. The only problem I had was having to have a discussion with Jose on how to properly apply the value of his Angie's List coupon I had prepaid for. After a calm discussion we came to an agreement and I was satisfied with the end result. Time will tell if the pole leans again but for the time being I am very happy with the job done.

I'm happy with the work done, and the scheduling issues would not have been bothersome if they'd been communicated to me. The guys took a part to the office with them to fix and put back the next day. They didn't come the next day, and they didn't call about not coming. They came the following day without telling me they were. We didn't discuss estimates (partially my fault for not asking) when it was determined what needed to happen. Price was still reasonable. I think the scheduling issues were probably a fluke. On balance, good work done, good results. I'd use them again. B+, and I would bet they are generally an A provider.

Jose came out within a few hours on a Saturday, and was extremely knowledgable, professional and kind. He was able to salvage the chain, lubricated and checked all parts and the motor, and made adjustments as necessary. He also created an antenna for a better connection and programmed the remote in my car. I highly recommend him, and will definitely use him in the future.

I had a car in my garage, and it broke. A1 answered the phone the first time I called. They were able to fix my garage door that afternoon so I could have access to my car. He was professional, and timely, and I use this company again.

Came quickly next day, called before arrival and fixed quickly and professionally. Will use again. Contacted 3 other garage door companies from here, A1 was the only one that answered after hours. Would use again !

He came to the house several times to discuss the gate options (design and opener). Jose expedited the gate install because we were moving into the house and have dogs that needed to be contained which was extremely important to us. Additionally, Jose came to the house to help us set up the gate opener in the car and iphone application. Jose and his crew were extremely profession and curteous. The quality of work was impeccable and we will definitely use A1 in the future.

We bought the house in June of 2013 and this gate has never opened fully. We have scraped car mirrors on it and generally grown to hate having it. The gate scraped the concrete when it closed and the motor bracket broke off of the pole several months ago rendering the gate even more useless. A quick fix by me using 2 bolts got us a couple more months of use out of it but those eventually broke under the stress of opening and closing the gate. My wife insisted that I call someone to repair the gate so I went on to Angies List and found A1. Angel came out to the house within a couple of hours of calling and did the work. Truthfully, I was only expecting the bracket to be re-welded but he went a step further by cutting the low points that were dragging the ground and optimized the opening limits on the motor. WOW! The gate fully opens and no longer drags the ground. Happy wife = Happy life!

These guys are first class. Punctual, professional, and very nice. We ended up needing some additional wood trim in order to have the garage doors installed, and they offered to let my builder borrow their truck to go to the hardware store to get the large pieces of lumber.

They arrived as promised by 8:30 am and completed the work in a little over an hour. Their work was very neat and they cleaned up after themselves. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would hire Joe again if needed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

This was an excellent experience. The appointment was set by phone. On the day of service, I got a call about an hour before the service person was due to be here, reconfirming that he would be on time. He was. He examined everything and got to work. His experience was obvious, and he completed the work quickly and cleaned everything up. He was courteous and professional, and he explained his work clearly. I will definitely use them again.

Jose did a great job! He built us a 12 foot custom wrought iron gate. He removed the old gate and posts and installed the new gate and liftmaster gate opener. They did even did all of the wiring into our electrical lines for the gate. Everything is working as expected. I'm very pleased with our decision to choose A1 Gate and Garage.

I had purchased the deal for 50 % off , so I scheduled everything online. Jose showed up right on time and told me what needed to be done to fix the problem. This was not covered under the deal I purchased ( totally my fault as I didn't read the deal correctly), but he quickly said he would credit me the full amount towards the repair or refund my money. Since the repair needed welding, they had to come a few days later to fix it, but the welder was right on time . We were pleasantly surprised to see that they even painted the repaired area so it is hardly noticeable. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future!

The company arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate, and made the repairs in a timely manner. Our garage door would not open either automatically or manually because the main spring had broken. The repair person obtained the parts and made the repair that day. He also checked the rollers and tuned up the system. The system was very noisy before the tune-up. Now, it is so quiet that I have to check to make sure it's operating correctly. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Jose called 40 minutes ahead of our scheduled time to let me know he would be arriving on time, which he did. We spoke briefly and he performed the maintenance needed on my garage door. Jose was very courteous and efficient. I would recommend him to my friends.
