TOM'S UPHOLSTERY REPAIR

Description of Work: "We paid Tom $55 to come to our home and see what type of recliner repair was needed. He said he didn't think he had that part but would look for it. He came back weeks later and took pictures of the recliner base so he could show it to someone who may have what we needed.Tom was very friendly and kind which is why we were so surprised when we never heard from him again despite leaving 2 voice mails.His ad also says he gives senior discounts but I don't think he gave us one. I don't know what the age range is that he uses. (I'm 62 and my wife is 60.) | I wouldn't refer Tom's Upholstery to anyone. We really thought a service provider screened by Angie's List would be honest,trustworthy and although he was friendly, that didn't fix our recliner. He didn't even show us the respect of telling us whether or not he even looked for the recliner base or not. I think the very least Tom could do after this very unprofessional experience is to refund the money I wasted on work he never did and never kept in contact about it with me. The service call fee is all I believe we owe him because we do not avoid paying our bills and simply want the same courtesy shown to us. Will you please contact me with any update you may have on this issue at any time? Thank you for your help in this matter. Description of Work: Stiched a hole in a micro fiber couch. Did a great job, was punctual and friendly. I would have him back for repairs anytime.

Description of Work: We have recliner chairs and 5 grandsons. The two do not mix well. For about 4 years Tom has kept our 4 recliner chairs operational. He has saved us a good amount of money. He was just here fixing a really great chair that had it stuffing worn out. When Tom left it was better thatn new. We love Tom. Bill and Becky Holz

Description of Work: The support (spring) system for the cushion of a Lane reclliner failed and allowed the cushion to droop and come in contact with the recliner tilt mechanism. The resulting tear in the foam cushion forced the person sitting in the chair to slide to the right. We called the supplier of the Lane recliner who could not find a record of our buying the chair bur referred us to Tom's Upholstery for repairs. Tom was able to determine when we bought the recliner and he determined that the guts of the cushion were still covered by warranty. He ordered the foam and repaired the chair and replaced some springs that were missing . Two service calls were needed.

Description of Work: Picked up (2) Lazyboy recliners and 1 full size Lazyboy recliner sofa (very heavy). Re covered with fabric that I provided and delivered.

Description of Work: He repaired a recliner that was still under warranty (that's why there was no charge to me, he billed Lane Recliners).
