We want to thank you for taking the time to come out on extremely short notice to fix our electrical problem. You were quick, efficient and competent. And I don't want to forget the most important thing, HONEST which is very rare these days. People advertise honesty and integrity and you practice it. We were closing on our house and had several "electricians" come out who preyed on our desire to get the job finished and then we called you on the recommendation of a friend. We couldn't believe how fast your team was in making that first appointment and how calm and incredibly honest you were when it came to diagnosing what we REALLY needed. Went very well, 1.5hrs to do the work, showed up on time, cleaned up, explained all there actions==== they were good!

My house was built in 1950; I read on the web that Federal Pacific breaker panel could be a fire risk. I requested University Park permit and inspection for this project. Russ went through the house and pointed out items required to be updated for code compliance. I asked for 5 year workmanship warranty, Russ told me he would warranty his work as long as he lives. His price was not the cheapest, but he gave me his life time warranty, and I decide to let his company to do the work.

Did a great job. First, Russ advised me that I did not need to replace as many things as other electrician told me. Second, he was able to get someone to my house the next morning. They arrived on time and did the job promptly. Finally, the cost of the service was reasonable.

Gave a prompt and friendly estimate, free of charge. Then actually suggested that we try another solution that may be more cost efficient. Will definitely reccomend his services, and will use him again in the future.

Both the electrician and his helper were very nice and did excellent work. When I received the bill, it was higher than I expected but I quickly called and the owner and I settled the confusion. They are a great company and I highly recommend them.

Positive experience from beginning to end

Russ came over the day of the pre-install and I went over all the outlets that I wanted them to install and told them what amps the circuits needed to be. I have a little workshop, so I needed a certain amount of amps running on the new circuits for my machines. I also needed them to install a 16' cord to my tablesaw that would run on the new 30amp outlet. Russ was very easy to work with, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. He also gave me some suggestions which I agreed with him. We set a date with him, and he told us that it would take most of that day. On the day that they arrived, Russ and his workers arrived promptly and we all got together and went over what I needed so there wouldn't be any problems. The workers were very approachable, easy to talk to, and answered any questions that I had throughout the day of the install ( in my opinion most tradespeople don't want to be bothered with questions, and have a big ego ). The install went as planned and they finished in half the time (excellent)! They tested all outlets before they left , made sure each circuit breaker was labeled, and they tested my workshop machines to see if they ran on the outlets they installed. I was very pleased with this company and can't thank them enough. I told them what I needed and they delivered. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I made an appt for Russ to come out and look at the issues. He was friendly and professional so I felt comfortable getting the work done. His crew came out in 2 days and performed the work. Gary, his main guy, was very candid about the issues, and I feel did a good job. However, the original bid was $135, but the final bill was $450.51, a 334% increase over the bid. I called Russ and discussed this with him. He felt that the price was fair, so I sent him the full amount. I gave him the opportunity to do what I felt was right and at least meet me half way on the amount but that did not happen. I will make sure in the future that the contractor sticks by his word.

I had a list of needs including exterior lights, adding an interior outlet and fixing an existing outlet. As always, Gary did a great job and did it quickly. No waste of time chitty chatting. I just love him and I love that he knows what he is doing. I am THRILLED to have found an electrical company I can depend on. YAY!

This is the 2nd time I have used Russ Electric and I just love Gary! He is no nonsense and gets in and gets out. He knows what he is doing and does NOT dally around. I needed an EXTERIOR home outlet installed and Gary knew exactly how to make it happen - fast. He gave me choices and options and made the experience simple. Just what I needed. Thanks a bunch!

The guys did a great job. They were very friendly and professional. They found the problem very quickly and even tied up a couple of other issues they saw so there wouldn't be problems later. I was very satisfied with their work.

Russ was actually a little early for the appointment and was very efficient.

I called Russ Electric to get a second bid on some work I needed done. Russ (the owner) came by to give an estimate. I described to him what the first electrician said needed to be done. Without my even having to ask, Russ explained that the additional circuits the first electrician suggested to me weren't necessary and there was a much less expensive solution. By being honest with me Russ saved me over $1,200 even though it meant lost business for him. When we looked at the wiring that needed to be replaced in that garage, Russ came up with a solution that wouldn't require damaging the drywall on the wall between the garage and the house. This saved me even more money on drywall repairs. I only had to talk to him for about five minutes to know I wanted his company to do the work. When his electricians Gary and Guillermo showed up to do the work, they couldn't have been nicer. Gary had me show him the location for the new garage outlet so he would be sure to install it in exactly where I wanted it. While he and Guillermo were connecting the light for the new bathroom fan to an existing light fixture, they discovered the 50-year-old wiring over the existing light fixture was in bad shape so they replaced it at no additional charge. These guys definitely go the extra mile to make their customers happy. Russ says his business is based on integrity, honesty and courtesy and that was definitely my experience with everyone I dealt with from his company. I can see how they've earned their Super Service Award.

The breaker for some plugs in our bathroom started to trip on a regular basis and finally would not reset - even after I unplugged everything from the outlets. I called Russ Electric after reading the reviews on Angie's List. Russ answered my call while he was on vacation in Florida! That impressed me immediately. He gave me the number for Gary, his electrician. When I called Gary, he explained that he couldn't come by on that day and had a couple of jobs already committed for the next day. He said he would call me in between the two and try to work me in. Gary placed two calls to me the next day but I was outside working in my yard and missed them. He then actually drove to my hose and found me in the back yard. He saw my lawnmower in the driveway and figured I was home. Great initiative! He checked everything out and found that the people who installed our landscape lights tapped into the bathroom breaker. There was a short in the outside line. He installed a new breaker for the outside lights and re-routed the wire. Now everything works as it is supposed to. Gary was very professional and impressed me with his expertise. I would definitely recommend Russ Electric - in fact I have already recommended them to our neighbor. I think you will be happy if you use them. I am.

I called Russ and he sent out a crew that day. Gary was the lead on my job and was wonderful. Boy, he knows his stuff!!! He quickly took care of my outlet issue and then I had several other honey-dos. He installed 2 light fixtures and 3 dimmer switches, too. I had one other job he could have done, but he had to go to another job. Dang! Anyway, they were great and I will use them again and would highly recommend them.

After having issues with my air conditioner unit running for about ten minutes before tripping the circuit breaker, the air conditioner repair people determined that the problem was electrical (noticing heat at the breaker box) and required an electrician to fix. I contacted Russ Electric to investigate. Russ came out the next morning and confirmed the problem was in the wiring at the breaker box. He quickly and correctly fixed the issue. Russ arrived early for the appointment. He charged a standard rate for the trip charge and what I felt to be a fair price for the replacement breaker. I would definitely hire Russ again.

This was a wonderful company! Sent two electricians out. One replaced ceiling fan (which wasn't on my initial appointment "list") while the other replaced the switch for the garbage disposal, checked my stove wiring, replaced the kitchen ceiling light and reattached my meter box. They were quick and efficient and careful not to scratch the wood floors. After checking the wiring to the stove and determining no problem there, the primary electrician advised me what was wrong with my stove and told me the part I needed. As a matter of fact, I ordered the part, received it the next day and replaced it myself. I was a little concerned that I did not receive a bill before they left. The company bills for services afterwards. I was then out of town, but arrived home to a wonderfully low bill. I could not believe the low price for the amount of work they performed.

They arrived on time and worked steadily until they were finished. I felt like they were using their time well, and keeping me informed of their progress. The only problem we had was with the kitchen light fixture. My husband had replaced the existing fixture with a larger one and it had pulled loose from the electrical box in the ceiling. The electrician tried fixing it with toggle bolts, but it did not hold, and he had to change out the electrical box, which is what we thought they needed to do originally. They were working on the clock, and I think they were trying to save us some money. Overall, I was very satisfied with the job they did.

Everything went smoothly. We called on a Wednesday, Russ called back and spoke to us about the work we wanted done. He scheduled our service for the next day at a time convenient for us. They arrived on time (actually, a little early). Two people did the work and were careful to clean up any messes. They needed to remove old light fixtures and install new ones, which required some drilling and created some paint chip debris and dust. They removed and installed light fixtures in two rooms. The entire process took two hours. I have used Russ Electric in the past and have never had a problem with the work, which is why I continue to use them.

Great. Russ is honest and explains everything in detail. He doesn't rush you into decisions.
