I couldn't ask for any better. They inspected and didn't talk down to me. They showed up on time. They went right to work and left the place clean afterwards. They kept the cost very reasonable. I appreciated their Christian values. I will use them in the future.

I've used Russ Electric several times and I've always had good results. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. I was in a hurry to get my security lights working again and Russ was able to send Gary out the same day. Gary did a great job, as always. I would recommend them without hesitation.

There were 2 people that came. The older guy didn't check the fan and just assumed that the issue regarding our fan was a full on fan replacement. The younger guy went above and beyond in service. He went and got on a ladder and actually checked the fan to make sure that there wasn't a way to fix it in a cheaper manner rather than replace the whole fan. Although they both came to the same conclusion, I appreciated the younger guy taking the extra step to make sure that was the cheapest avenue and it is because of him that I'm giving great reviews to your company.

He and his wife and team are absolutely the most professional and trustworthy contractors of any kind I have ever used. I have had work done in the past by other companies and ended feeling "taken advantage of" - not this time! I know without a doubt that the work was done correctly and fairly priced. I absolutely recommend them 200%!

If you need an electrician, I strongly recommend Russ Electric. I have had them at the house before and again had a great experience. The two electricians who recently came were competent, efficient, courteous, and professional. The price also was competitive, if not lower than I expected. They also honored the Angie's list discount.

Electrician was able to locate and correct the problem quickly and efficiently. This vendor has done numerous projects at my house from a new upgraded service panel, inspect all wiring, outlets and fixtures in the house. Installed ceiling fans and wired an external building. Price has always been great and work is excellent.

He took care of the problem and charged a service call.

They responded very quickly to our problem. The men were very knowledgeable & professional. I will call Russ Electric again next time we have any electrical issues.

I received two quotes to change the chandelier in the kitchen dining area, $100 from another electrician and $110 from Russ Electric. As Russ Electric was referred from a friend, I spoke with the owner, Mr. Kenaston, at approximately 11:30 am; he said his technicians were available to perform the change out the same afternoon. He called me at 5:00 to apologize that he "forgot to tell them" and we agreed that the following morning was convenient. The technicians were punctual and courteous. I asked if they would also check my china cabinet since the lights no longer came on after our recent move. Not realizing that the chandelier did not include the bulbs, I went to the home improvement store (less than a half mile from my house) while they began the install. I had to exchange the bulbs due to selecting the wrong type but as I left the second time, they were only a quarter through hanging the many crystals. When I returned, the techs were outside. Bulbs worked - chandelier was (is) beautiful. Then, they checked the cabinet and determined that the "bulbs were bad" - ALL THREE. When I received the invoice for nearly three times the anticipated amount, I attempted to contact Mr. Kenaston. We traded several email and voice mail messages. Copied from my email to him: "I have upcoming electrical needs and hope to do more business as your men are competent, but need to establish resolution before moving forward..." In his voice mail message, Mr. Kenaston replied that his men had to wait on me for 45 minutes to get some bulbs and "well, I don't know what to do unless you expect me to lose money." - I was not gone 45 minutes and even if I had, work should have continued - The cabinet bulbs were not bad; a couple of weeks later it simply came "on", perhaps some short in the wiring (I'm not sure - hence me hiring an electrician!) I simply paid the invoice because I just started a new job and did not need this as a distraction, especially after the "lose money" comment (which was SO short sighted as I had already informed him of further needs) I knew I would not hire his company again. What really stings is the fact that I waited four hours the previous day and his technicians never showed - how can you "TRUST" i.e. Russ Electric LLC slogan, someone who values their time more than the customer?

Russ's crew came to my home on time and were very polite. They were very efficient with there time, and completed all work that I had requested. I would defiantly recommend!!!!!! A+++++++++++++

I called Russ Electric LLC when our electrical panel made a strange "buzzing" noise. Russ promptly came over and identified the problem and discussed several solutions. His recommendations were forthright, as he discussed both the costs and risks of each solution. I was able to make an informed division and he promptly fixed our panel. Way to go Russ!

Showed up on time, had all the supplies they needed, worked quickly and were very friendly. Very tolerant of my over friendly boxer puppy.

We had two locations in our attic that needed junction boxes as identified by the inspector when purchasing our house. Spoke with Bill on a Monday and Guillermo came out on Thursday and installed as promised. He was very professional and friendly.

They are just so good that I'd go out of my way to use them again. Very prompt, professional and efficient.

Everything went smoothly as the electrical panel was already out side the house. They had to run the lines under the house (pier and beam) and then up the wall in the garage, over the garage and down the out side wall and to the shed through conduit, wired the shed with 8 outlets and one wall switch. City inspected and all passed. This is the second time I have used Russ and would do it again when needed.

I sent a request for Russ Electrical to come out a verify a few things, because I was unsure. I was having a dryer & washer delivered and wanted to make sure the outlets were in order. Plus I had a few other questions. They showed up right around 8am. Verified that I did have the correct outlet for the dryer, but would need an adapter for the washer.(which would not be grounded) I also wanted him verify that there was no main switch in the electrical box nor outside at the meter. I wanted to make sure I was not overlooking it. There is no main switch. I asked about grounding the house, because I have just a few grounded outlets in the bathroom and kitchen. The rest of the house is not grounded. He made the comment that would be to much money. Even though the questions I had were not required items?grounding the washer, main switch..there was no estimate of what that cost would be. This all took less than 15 minutes, because I was able to still make it to work by 8:30 which is a 15 minute drive. I receive an invoice in the email for unreasonable $110.00, which states this is for 1 Hour of Labor. I replied to the email saying I appreciated the time and advice of the electrician, but should be billed for the correct time, if $110 is the hourly rate. I was willing to pay half that amount, because they weren't there for but 15 minutes max. I received a reply email saying sorry, but it is $110.00 if it is 1 second or 1 hour. The reason for my grades: They were punctual. A They were professional, but failed to give any estimate. B Responsiveness, again no estimate and I did not appreciate the "1 second or 1 hour" email. C Quality, well they didn't do anything so I can't grade that. N/A Price, unreasonable. F Overall ?. D being punctual kept it from being an F That's outrageous!

I am pretty happy with them and they did a good job. They are reasonable in cost. I was pretty satisfied them. They are nice people. They showed up early. I will use them again.

I called the office and was able to speak with Russ directly and schedule a visit for the following week. I received a call the morning of the appointment saying that the electricans were running ahead of schedule and wanted to know if they could come earlier, which was ok with me. Two electricians arrived and spent about 2.75 hours doing the work described above. They did not have to install any new wiring, so it was a pretty straightforward job. They cleaned up and removed lots of packaging that the new fixtures had been wrapped inside. The electricians were really polite and made sure to check with me about how high to hang the chandelier. They even cleaned the glass on one of the fixtures before installing it. Overall, very good work. I did not rate the pricing for this job because I don't have enough knowledge about typical rates to know whether the price I paid would be considered a good value or not. But I would use Russ Electric again. I have used them in the past, and they are responsive and trustworthy.

We've called these guys several times for the misc electric work we've needed done throughout the house and will continue to do so. Honest, professional and punctual. Good work for a fair price.

I called and scheduled an appointment almost a week and a half early to have them come out to my house and give me a quote on all electrical work that would be needed to bring the house up to code. I had not heard from anyone by 3 p.m. in the afternoon, I called and talked to a technician you had no idea what I was talking about. He indicated I might have spoke to his boss and his boss is currently out of town. We rescheduled for next week. I'll update the review again once, we have met for the estimate.

Russ stated that I would be better off going with someone local for a small job. My search radius on AL was 10 miles thinking that was considered local. It appears that if you have a small job, this company is not interested in traveling more than 10 miles.

Two men showed up on 5/29 to do the installations. I had a light bar for our hall bath & one for each of our shared bathroom sink areas. When they installed these they told me one of them could not be installed because of a pipe that was in the way of installing the light. The bath fans took them a lot of time. The first one they worked on vibrated and apparently they've never run into this before or have known how to fix it. Finally they determined if they put some cardboard between the unit & something & then the vibrating stopped. He jokingly said he hopes it doesn't start a fire! I knew he was joking but my husband is a retired fireman so I had him come in to check out what they were doing, just to make sure. The second fan didn't seem to cause any problems. The door chime, again, took some time. They tried various possibilities but were unable to get it finished on 5/29. The light fixture I wanted installed over the sink they told me couldn't be installed because they couldn't get at the location in the ceiling. I was very disappointed as I really needed the light to be able to see in my sink. It took an entire day to install 2 bath lights, take down a current light & see a pipe was in the way so they couldn't install the 3rd light, install 2 bath fans, and attempt to install a doorbell chime. On the 29th I was charged $852.50 for 7.25 hours which comes out to $117.59/hour plus parts (anchors, nuts, screws, etc). On the 30th the two men came back along with Russ (the owner). I thought they were there to finish up the door chime so I took Russ to the patio. He said he didn't want to see that but rather the ceiling in my hall. Seems a customer had sent them a picture of her ceiling after a team was there and Russ and the two men thought it was my ceiling. It wasn't. Russ stayed while the two men continued to work on the doorbell finally deciding we needed a multi tone bell instead of the doorbell we had so I went to get that exchanged. Before I left I pointed out to Russ the light where I was told the new light couldn't be installed because of the pipe and the light I wanted over my sink. He looked at the bathroom light (where the pipe was) and suggested they push it slightly to install the light. They installed the light & it works great. He looked at the location in the kitchen & asked the guy why he didn't install it in the ceiling & hook it to my current light switch. When the guy had looked at it the previous day I thought he would need a light switch & I made a couple of suggestions. He never said he couldn't tie it to an individual light switch but could tie it to the room lights so it would always go on when the room light switch was turned on. They installed the light over my sink and it is fantastic - I can see in my sink to work! They installed the new doorbell I supplied them. That works great. On the 30th I was charged an additional $330 for 3 hours which comes out to $110/hour. Russ didn't charge me for the 3 hours he was here providing instructions to his guys. My total bill was $1157.73. I certainly don't think I should have had to pay for the guys to muddle around on the 29th and then have Russ come in on the 30th to find that my items could be installed after they told me they couldn't. I'm guessing I would have had the same answer on the doorbell - that it couldn't be done - if Russ weren't here. I'd used Russ Electric in the past & was happy with the person who was sent out & felt he was very experienced. The two men sent this time certainly displayed a completely different image. I won't be using Russ Electric again.
