Called Russ, and someone was out in an hour! They quickly resolved the issue, I received a %10 discount for being an Angie's list member. Even though my son was home with no way to pay, they left a bill for the charges. Thanks for an easy transaction.

Russ, the owner of Russ electric came out on the same day I called to request an estimate for work. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Russ' bid was competitive and delivered that night via email. Less than a week later, Robert called before he came, was on time and installed my ceiling fans without any issues. The process was simple and seamless. I am planning on calling Russ Electric back to install a new chandelier in my dining room and to install lighting on the garage door. Great people. Great service. Honest and reliable.

They were very timely, informed me when work was needed beyond scope of original estimate and treated me fairly throughout the process. Russ came out and gave me the estimate in person and was readily available whenever I needed to contact him.

A gecko got into our home's master electric box and got fried 6 months ago, wiping out several circuits. The electrician at the time (another company) told us that the 16 year-old electric circuit box would need replacement in the near future, but he installed new circuit blocks and temporized things for us. Fast forward to this summer, where we were in our 7th consecutive day of 100 degrees or more temperatures and one of our two air conditioners began tripping the circuit every 20-30 minutes between 6 and 10 pm. Our A/C repairman checked it out and indicated it was likely a weak circuit breaker in the electric box that was tripping out from the heat and load, not the A/C unit itself. We called Russ and he came over within the hour and confirmed that it was indeed the box and confirmed the entire box needed replacement (because he had no available free circuits - it already had 40 circuit breakers hooked up, which is the maximum you can have on the box). He quoted us a price that was about $200 less than we had been quoted by the electrician in January. This was on a weekend (no charge for the service call!), so he told us he could have someone out on Tuesday morning to do the 6+ hours-long job, which was the earliest he could schedule it. In the meantime, he helped us rig a portable fan to blow on the electric box, to help keep it cooler, because he felt the heat was part of the problem. That did work and we had only a few circuit breaker trips until Tuesday. Tuesday morning their electrician, Gary, arrived and worked in 104 degree heat almost nonstop for 6+ hours and made a flawless switch-over to a new electrical box. All 40 circuits. We tried to buy him lunch, and give him cold drinks, but he declined and kept working (he had ice water in a cooler) and later he refused to accept a tip. He was polite, knowledgeable, professional, meticulous in his cleanup afterwards and even helped me move our backup freezer back in place, adjacent to the new panel. All in all, this job, under some of the most miserable temperature circumstances imaginable, could not have gone quick, cheaper, or smoother. Russ' Electric is going to be my new electrical repair company in the years to come - absolutely outstanding!

I did have some concerns that perhaps his estimate was for the services only and did not include any supplies; however, I was able to confirm that his proposal did cover all the costs and was for the same type of servcies (ie, no inappropriate short cuts). His estimate was just that much more competitive than the other Angies list providers that I also called.

I called Russ electric and they were out promptly at the scheduled time. The technicians were very friendly and courteous. They found the problem almost immediately and fixed it. They also pointed out some questionable wiring that I had observed and cleaned it up for me. They were very efficient and I don't think I paid much more than the minimum trip charge. Highly recommended!

They were absolutely professional. They were on time and courteous. They did professional work. It was a very fair price. They could not have done anything better. The people were totally professional.

Nothing to warn or criticize. I made contact, got an estimate, arranged a time convenient to both of us, they showed up as promised after calling to confirm I was home. They quickly got the job done, left the area in better shape they found it and left. I was mailed the invoice and have paid them as quickly as they handled my request.

It went really well, the customer service was good and the price was decent. They came right away. I didn't want holes in the living room so he found a way to make it work from the garage. I called around and they had a good price.

Gary arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, was very knowledgeable and explained options.

I have used Russ Electric for major and minor work for the last three years. I would not use anyone else. They are professional and reasonably priced. If an issue pops up with the work they have completed, they address it immediately.

This was the best experience I've had so far in moving to our new house! I had used Russ a number of years ago at our old house and was glad to find him on Angie's List when I was looking for an electrician. We had a real mix of electrical work to be done on the new house. Russ came out and reviewed the inspection report with me, explaining what really needed to be handled. We then discussed changes that we wanted to be done. He took the time to listen and understand and make suggestions along the way. He was very prompt in emailing an estimate, which seemed reasonable to me for all the work we discussed. His crew, Gary and Guillermo, were prompt in starting the job as scheduled. Gary was the lead and he was very polite and also very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions - wanting to be sure I was satisfied with the work being done. They tidied up every day. The job took several days and overlapped with the painters for a couple of those days. They were great about coordinating and working around the painters' work. For example, I needed the kitchen light fixtures removed and the wiring moved for the ceiling fan before the painters started on the kitchen ceiling. They saved the garage work for after the painters started inside. I highly recommend Russ' Electric. He and his crew are very knowledgeable and were courteous and professional every step of the way.

My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the way the whole experience went from start to finish. I guess Russ sent us his A-Team because these gentlemen showed up with cleanly pressed uniforms and big clean white box truck clearly marked with Russ Electric and listed credentials. I could not remain at the house the entire time but to impress my wife, to put it lightly, is not an easy task as she was raised in a construction family and has nearly remodeled this house from top to bottom. But she was thankful for their knowledge of the outdated breakers that had a past history of malfunctioning and not tripping when overloaded. Overall we feel much safer in our house knowing that all had been checked and corrected as needed. We also had a bid for closer to $2000 from someone else while Russ Electric was less than half that.
