Never completed the work. System only partially works. Contacted multiple times over the course of a year, would not return to finish.

Hired to replace inside and outside AC units. Great recommendation on TRANE heat pump. Other installers couldn’t work with the small space allotted for the inside unit, but Nopp’s AC shop said it was no problem. Installers have been super kind and knowledgeable every time they have been out for maintenance and repairs.

STAY AWAY FROM DANNY NOPP AND NOPP'S A/C!!! We will NEVER recommend Danny Nopp or Nopp's A/C to anyone! We had a SIGNED contract for $7,326 to move 3 units and duct-work for the rough-in and then another $4,884 to add a fourth unit and finish-out for a total cost of $12,210. Following our $7,326 initial rough-in payment, Danny billed us for an additional $5,000 (which our contractor paid). After we learned that we had overpaid by $116 more than the TOTAL original contract amount, we asked Danny to come and finish the job and it was only after this full amount was paid did Danny tell us that he had to do some and quot;extra workand quot; costing us $5,000 MORE (thereby causing his rough-in cost to skyrocket nearly 70% from $7,326 to $12,326!). Even though the scope of the project never changed, his explanation for an additional $5,000 in labor costs was simply that he had to do and quot;a lot of thingsand quot; that and quot;weren't on the original contractand quot; -- no further details or information were provided and he never obtained approval for the additional $5,000 in and quot;add-ons, etc.and quot; He then told us that in order to finish the project, that we still needed to pay him the ANOTHER $4,884 and that he would only do the work if we agreed to pay him this $4,884 and quot;up frontand quot; because HE felt and quot;nervousand quot; working for US! Not only did he over-charge us by $5,000, but he also had the audacity to personally insult our integrity by telling us it was and quot;nothing personal, but a business decision.and quot; We immediately made our own and quot;business decisionand quot; to never allow Danny Nopp back onto our property, and got our own estimate from a very reputable company to finish out the work (which Danny was to charge $4,884) and their bid was $2,715 -- nearly half of Danny's price! Need we say any more? Not only did he breach his contract, over-charge and insult us, but then we learn he charges nearly double the going rate! We are now in the process of pursuing all legal remedies to recover our $5,000 from Danny Nopp and Nopp's AC and will definitely be notifying the Better Business Bureau of his extremely unethical business practices -- working with Danny Nopp and Nopp A/C has been an absolutely horrible experience for our family -- please don't make the same mistake we did -- find somebody, ANYBODY, else to handle your HVAC needs!
Description of Work: He moved three exisiting A/C units and ductwork and was supposed to install a fourth A/C unit (which he said would cost a total of $12,210) and then added $5,000 extra with no explanation.

STAY AWAY FROM [member name removed] @ [member address removed]. Don't do any work for them. If you know who I am, than you know what kind of person I am. Some people have money because they know how to play the system, and let's just say these people know how to play ball. And that is why we didn't finish, because I don't play that way.

They did a fantastic job. My electric bill went down significantly just like he promised. The system is self-contained where it wasn't before. Overall, it was a great experience. I did have a strange hiccup in the system the other and I called them and told them what had happened. Danny Nopp told me exactly what it was and that it wasn't a problem, it was a safety feature built into the system and then it works exactly like he said he would. It's just been spot on. The service guys were good, they seem competent. Everything's installed the way I want it. I have already recommended them to others.
Description of Work: I used Nopp's A/C Shop to replace the entire compressor, condenser and heating unit inside and out.

They came and gave me an estimate that was far less then the big companies. They showed up on time the day agreed on and completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after it was done. The system work much more efficiently now which also saves money. I would use them again and recommend them highly.
Description of Work: I was going to get Zone Control Duct Dampers to fix some uneven cooling. After getting estimates from a few other companies, I went with Nopp's. They did the job with just a few additional registers and a couple of extra returns. After many 100 + degree days this summer the system is working far better and the house is being cooled more evenly. The problem areas are no longer a problem.

I love him. I don't think that I got him from Angie's List. It was a positive experience. He always returns my calls. He always comes when he says that he is going to and he will call if he cannot make it. He works well with the price. The quality of his work is good.
Description of Work: I used the services of Nopp's A/C Shop four months ago. They replaced one of our air conditioners and re-did all the high-beaming.
