We did not even get a quote. Will not go back to them.

Luis came to our house and discussed options on covering our patio. He designed a pergola with a polycarbonate top to provide shelter from the rain. The workers arrived on time every day and completed the work quickly. It looks and works great!

Communication was a problem. My wife and I had difficulty contacting them by phone initially but got an e-mail response to our request on February 21. On Feb. 25, Luis Carrasco paid us a visit and proposed a couple of solutions, one using decorative concrete and another using pavers. He provided an estimate for the first option on March 2 but, to our surprise, not for the second. It took a couple of e-mail reminders before he submitted an estimate for the second option two weeks later. Despite the delay, we decided to hire Arbors and Patios to resurface our patio with pavers. However, it took five days (from March 20 to 25) for them to respond to our message telling them of our decision. They said that they would "update [us] about [their] schedule as soon as possible." Two weeks later, we were still waiting for that update. So we contacted them again on April 8 and said that we wanted the work done by the end of the month. That message got their attention! They scheduled the job to begin on Monday, April 10. Unfortunately, due to the threat of rain, they called to postpone the work. The next day, though, a crew arrived on time and performed their work diligently. They cut some existing concrete to square off the area, laid down three inches of gravel and sand, leveled the material, then laid the pavers. They finished the job the next morning, using a machine to compress the new pavement. Lastly, they cleaned up the area -- for the most part. Somehow, the crew overlooked muddy splatter on our patio door and windows, which we later cleaned. Overall, we are satisfied with the result. Our patio looks like new again!

Luis was extremely informative, knowledgeable, and eager to please, he made suggestions that were thoughtful and creative. His team of employees were punctual, neat and did a quality job; beyond that, he is a genuinely kind and caring person; ethical, honest, hardworking and a man of integrity. I would recommend this company to anyone and will most definitely use them again.

We had a patio done with Arbors and Patios. Luis was great. He know what exactly what I wanted. He is honest and straigt forward. He would not sell me more than what I need. He charge a fair price for the job. The work was done professionally. We were very happy for the job done by Arbors and Patios.

Work started as soon as the agreement was reached, and finished in record time. Luis delivered everything that was promised and more. No detail left out. Once work started they were here until completion. I work with many contractors and wish I had this experience more often. I attempted to upload pictures but continued to get errors form Angie's list. The final product is amazing!!!

They could even turn up for the appointment. Didn't even call to reschedule I had to follow up and ask. They offered me a next day appointment . Terrible business model.

Work was done very well and timely. Price was comparable or cheaper than others checked.

Luis has done an excellent work. I had to do multiple changes in the middle of the project and he was happy to make changes without any additional charges. It was a learning curve on the city setback rules about covered patio and on pergola. He worked with city to get the permits on each of my changes. The quality of the work was top notch!

I contacted them via phone the first time and the call was answered immediately. Luis requested me to schedule an appointment with the office and so I did that. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 p.m, the following Monday. On the day of appointment, I was on site 10 mins in advance. I kept waiting for over 15 mins and no one showed up. No one was answering my phone and no responses to e-mail as well. 30 mins later I just left ( I had taken time off from work). Later I received an apology e-mail stating that there was a misunderstanding on their side and so they re-scheduled for Wednesday. On Wednesday, first the time was moved by 30 mins (which was OK) and then Luis arrived about 15 mins late. We then discussed the options - Did not get to see a good number of samples or pictures (very limited) and there was not a lot of input to help me either, to choose design / concrete options. All the measurements were taken and I was promised a quote in 2-3 days. It has been more than 2 weeks since then and I have not received anything. No response to my phone calls, text messages, e-mails etc. I am not wasting my time following up anymore and cannot rely on a company who cannot provide a basic quote, leave alone getting my work done on time. Very disappointed!

The crews were all very professional, True Craftsmanship. These are lifetime stuctures that were built for our home. The quality exceeded our expectations!!

Luis was very responsive and came out the next day when I called about getting a bid on a pergola. I felt comfortable with his presentation and liked the style of the work he had done for others. They were able to schedule my job quickly since it was small and could be completed in about a day. The crew came early to start building the framework and staining the lumber. They would have finished the same day if it had not started raining heavily. They came back the next day and were finished in a few hours. I am very happy with the warm color of the stain of the wood and the precision the crew took with ensuring all the boards were aligned perfectly. It really enhanced the curb appeal of my front yard and I am very happy with the result.

We had an overall great experience - we love our beautiful new patio and Luis and his team are a joy to work with. We showed Luis a photo of what we considered to be the perfect patio and he helped us make it our own, working within the bounds of our existing concrete and roof structure. We told him our desires for the various lighting needs and kitty/human comforts and he helped fill in the details. Luis has a clear, calm, and friendly approach to helping you develop your ideas. There were many times I was faced with a choice and Luis gave us just the right amount of guidance while still adhering to what he knew our overall vision was. When and wherever we needed to deviate from the plan (which was not often) Luis clearly communicated the reason behind the change - and I cannot recall a time where the reason was not a quality related concern - e.g. the odd positioning, slope and water drainage of our roof lead us to needing two gables instead of one. We tossed around some ideas and it worked out beautifully, better than our inspiration photo. Our few struggles along the way were mostly attributable to our newness to the process. We were a bit timid with our concerns, worried that we might offend if we became too "nit picky." Of course, Luis is a true professional and we learned we could be as forthcoming as we needed to be and he would accommodate us to the best of his ability. We interviewed 12+ contractors/firms for this project, large and small. Luis was far and away the best communicator. He was the only one to tell us we *must* verify whether there were post tension cables in our concrete before discussing a tear-out and re-pour. The others seemed to guess "yes" or "no" just by looking at it. We were impressed by Luis' caution and desire not to damage our home. Arbors and Patios wasn't the lowest bid, nor was it the highest. The highest bids were actually *way* higher, from firms that were offering 3D plans, detailed payment schedules, design managers and seemingly more "structure" (for lack of a better term) which apparently comes with quite a high premium. Our experience felt smaller by comparison, and more inclusive - we got involved, I painted swatches, learned all about french doors and gave specs for ordering right down to the divided lite spacer bar color (Luis handled the installation measurements). My husband and I spoke directly with the electrician, builders and painters and there were a few bad judgment calls on my part (wall and trim color choices, etc.) that needed to be redone. My husband is handy and did some quality control passes to make sure his standards were met. All of his notes were handled graciously by the team with little reiterating. My husband and I are in creative fields, so getting involved in what we see as the creative process felt natural and right for us...but others may feel that we were too hands on. I couldn't see us doing it any other way, we are a tad particular. Based on my research I know how easy it is for first-timers to be taken advantage of and have a horrible, costly experience that they regret. Arbors and Patios took care of us and we would sleep on our gorgeous patio if we could. I now wake up to a beautiful view through the french doors in my bedroom and say a little "thank you" every morning!

I now have one of the finest patios in the entire city to enjoy year around. It is fully enclosed with top quality solar screening. The roof line was carefully built into the house roof to look like part of the house. The best comment came from my landscaper who said, " he has worked on over a thousand yards and has never seen a more beautiful patio anywhere!" The concrete is high-strength stamped and stained concrete that will last a lifetime. It is beautifully contoured, shaped and edged. The massive west Texas red cedar beams are of the highest quality. The ceiling is imported, finished tongue-and-grove 24 foot long cedar. All of the wood was hand-brushed stained with 2 coats of high quality stain. The door was custom made of the same material on-site. The crews are very friendly and extremely hard-working and professional. Basically, my family is 100% satisfied. The room is large, fully 24 feet by 14 feet enclosed and 12 feet high inside. The slab outside is about as large giving us a great indoor/outdoor patio to enjoy. It has quickly become the favorite seating area with our new patio furniture, hammock, and outdoor lounge chairs.

Work done in logical progression. Cleaned up debris with progress. Owner drafted plans with owner input and outlined details for crews and monitored progress. Provided helpful suggestions and ideas. Stayed in contact to assure customer satisfaction

I spoke to the owner three times and the last time he didn't have a pencil to write down my address. He said he would have his assistant who does scheduling call me to an appointment set up. No one has ever called.

They are a very high integrity provider that not only treated my home project as one of their own, they were transparent throughout the process, did very high quality work that ended up being a show piece.

No one ever bothered to follow-up..... once again the business is just falling out of the skies in Dallas so who needs another customer. Good for you guys!!!

Luis was very helpful, answering all my questions His team was quick to respond and schedule the work They were punctual and the job took 2 days The work of the built in matches the one in the Master bedroom, making it look like it is original to the house. Team was professional and worked hard Luis sent a team member 3 days after the project was finished to follow-up to a few touch up paint requests to make sure I was completely happy with the project. I will definitely work with him and his team again!

For close to 2 years we searched and interviewed companies in order to find the right contractor to do the work we wanted done for our outdoor living area. After searching Angie's List we found Arbors and Patios and decided to speak with them after reading several positive reviews about the work they do. When Luis (the owner of the company) came to the house, we knew immediately he was the one we felt comfortable to entrust to do our project. From our initial meeting until our project was completed we were extremely happy in working with Luis and his team. No phone call ever went unanswered, team always arrived on time, worked a full day and cleaned the entire area before leaving each day. Luis was a complete joy to work with and we knew we had made the right decision to hire them. The design and workmanship is simply beautiful and was done even better than we had expected. When we do additional work to our backyard area, which we will - Luis is our "go to" guy. We think so much of him and his company and would highly highly recommend him if your looking for superior workmanship, professional interaction and a friendly business interaction experience!

We expect to hire this company in the near future to replace the patio we have now with pavers.
