Peerless Electric

They were fantastic. Arrived exactly when they said they would arrive, very professional and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain everything in an easy-to-understand discussion and gave me a quote for future work that I wanted to have done. He pointed out things to look out for since he thought my entire breaker panel was at the end of its lifespan. They were very respectful of my home and it's contents, as well as put up with my curious dogs. Very kind team, great work, would definitely hire again.

I made a Big Deal purchase with them. It went fine. There was no extra charge. The service was quick and easy, but clients should clarify what it is they're wanting done. It took them a couple of hours to complete the service. The worker was fine.

Originally I called three different electrical companies for bids on adding a sub-panel, but after talking with Reed about the issues with the home's original panel (and having those same concerns verified by the other two companies) we decided it was better to replace the 25 year old panel with a newer panel that had double the breaker capacity. Peerless' estimate was the most competitive and Reed was on the ball with his questions and inspection. In the end we're extremely happy with the job his team performed and will gladly call on Peerless again in the future for any additional electrical work.

One time before, I went on to Angie's List and had a good recommendation for Peerless Electric and I've been calling them back. They've been here three times. They're outstanding. I bought the lights from Lamps Plus. They sent their own people over, they have a sub contractor who installs them. They removed the old ones and put on the new ones. The guy couldn't get them to light up, only one lit. So they said I would need an electrician to come and figure out what was wrong. That's when I called Peerless Electric. They're good. I used them one time before, a couple of years ago. When I called them this time, they still had me on their computer and what technician came out. So they sent the same man over.

Great. I bought a special on Angie's List. They arrived on time and completed a neat and timely job.

Very well! The electricians showed up on time and completed all the work in one day. They did not exceed the estimated cost of the work. All installations were done neatly, and as specified, and they even cleaned up well afterwards. Peerless Electric will be my choice for any future electrical work!

Had smoke coming out of the wall, the home warranty service guy said he could not respond until following Tuesday, this was an EMERGENCY and needed someone ASAP to look at it. Found Peerless Electric on Angie's List and called. Gentleman answering the phone was very calming and told me Alan would be there between 10 AM and 12PM. At about 9:30 AM, Alan called said he was on the way, he arrived at 10AM. Found the issue (previous owner installed a dimmer switch backwards and not grounded), repaired, and then asked, do those lights dim when AC comes on or randomly? We are so used to it, we no longer noticed. We told him, randomly. Checked outlets and found a full volt fluctuation. He told us he would call master electrician. Then advised us, this is probably an Oncor problem, call them, they should fix for free. We called while he was there. Before he left, Oncor arrived, and they talked, secondary problem was the power line was loose at the pole. AWESOME service, good prices. Will use them exclusively in the future.

I recently purchased my home and, during inspection, was told the house needed extensive electrical repairs. Called Peerless, was given an estimate and a date was set up for the work. It took about 6 hours, so I actually left the house and waited for the guys to call. They were great...both personable and professional.

Overall experience was great got appt super fast,the employee was very nice and sweet waived the diagnosis fee. We had one light and fans needed to be fixed but cuz of super expensive price I was only able to get one thing done which was done very good and professionally I think I would use them again if they didn't charge arm and a leg. 150 just to switch fans?????? Ridicolus. But was happy with the work they did do.

The service was excellent. They came out and switched panels in a timely and professional manner. There was no mess and no hassle. I was very pleased with the work that was done.

We just moved into a newly built home. Our general contractor had got an electrician to run a wire from an GFI outlet outside the house for a sliding gate motor about 20 ft away. The wire was run under the soil at about a depth of 3-4 inches. It then went under a concrete slab and came out about 2 ft into the slab. When my sliding gate contractor tried to use this wire he found that the GFI outlet was permanently tripped. Instead of calling my general contractor I called Peerless Electric since I had dealt with them before and trusted them (Boy was that a mistake). A tech from Peerless showed up while I was around and took no more than an hour to troubleshoot the problem and expose the wire under the soil. He was going to run a wire from the place where it poked out of the concrete and also add a plastic conduit where the wire was under the soil. Since he did not have the conduit with him, he said he'd have to go and get it. I had to get back to work so I left. When I came back in the evening then problem had been fixed and my sliding gate contractor told me that the electrician had not spent more than 45 minutes to take care of burying the conduit. When I received the bill Peerless had billed me $880 for putting in the conduit and burying it. The total bill was for $1072. Even if it took the technician 2 hours to get the conduit from Home Depot and bury it (see attached picture of plastic conduit under 3 inches of soil; the grey pipe is the one installed by Peerless), it meant they were billing me at a whopping rate of $440/hour. I had a licensed plumber bore under 40ft of driveway and install a 2" pipe for $225 just a week before this rip off job by Peerless. When I disputed the bill, Al came over and told me something about them having to use a 3 man crew to lay a plastic pipe 3 inches under the soil. We haggled and I finally paid him $811. I feel completely ripped off paying over $500 for someone to stick a plastic pipe 3 inches under the soil. I have never worked with a company on Angie's List that is so completely dishonest. I will NEVER give them my business again or recommend them to anyone. I guess their estimate of their own reputation is low enough that they are willing to throw it away by ripping a customer for $500.

The review is good but you are paying for what you get and you are getting good work. I don't think they are overpriced for the work they do but you kind of hope you can find a Deal and it is not a Deal. I have used them again. I have used Peerless for something here also.

Great service!!! Showed up on time completed the work quickly! Plus they were the only ones that gave a free estimate. Everyone else had a $69.00 fee just to give you an estimate. I would use them again and highly recommend them!!!

On time and fast install. No complaints whatsoever. I don't know how to gauge the effectiveness of the device other than we haven't had an electrical surge that has has caused damage to any of our electronic devices. So, so far so good.

It went very well. I was scheduled for a later date but they fit me in with a cancellation. I was very happy about that. I was very pleased with every part of our transaction especially the Angie's List member discount.

Allen (excellent) called before he came, as promised. He was quick at diagnosis and efficient in fixing the problem. He explained the process, was polite and very professional! I will definitely use this company again. Kudos!
