Peerless Electric

They have done great work in all the different jobs. There was a small issue with the outside light, but they came right back out and fixed it. They are very competent and knew what they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently and I would certainly use them again. They arrived when they said they would arrive and were upfront about the pricing and stuck with the quote. With all the projects, they made sure there no surprises.

The technician showed up on time, was professional and did a great job. Would definately call them again.

Service was as expected, but I asked for an estimate on replacing the breaker box, and that was not received.

They figured out my box was good for the age it was. Again. they were good. They are very knowledgeable about their work. They gave me options for the future, but they did not push me to purchase something right away.

Last spring, Freddie with Peerless, saved us from an arcing breaker that must have been a fire in the making. At that time, he recommended replacing the old, obsolete and poorly designed system--this was not our first failed breaker, just the first that gave us a light show--and he quoted an estimate for replacing the entire breaker box. At that time, we opted for the short term solution and a few months later, the estimate held. It should be noted that Peerless went above and beyond the call of duty in accommodating our schedule in both instances. We will call Peerless again, when next we have need of an electrician.

Easy scheduling and timely service. The price was cheaper than I could do it myself. The installation wa a little sloppy. A mounting screw was left out because the holes drilled did not line up. I had to clean up dust and wire clippings afterwards. Not a big deal, but not as good as it could have been.

It went fast! The technician arrived on time, asked us a few questions about what we needed/wanted, and then proceeded to work. The company had asked us to purchase a new fan before their arrival. He assured us that the one we had purchased was appropriate for where it was to be installed. The old ceiling fan was placed high on a beam of a vaulted ceiling. He had it removed and the new one installed in a very short time. It works great, and we're very pleased.

It was easy to set up an installation date. The electrician arrived on time and knew what he was doing. He finished the job timely. In and out. And now I feel I can have more peace of mind about the electronic appliances in my home.

I purchased a $99 Big Deal from Peerless on Angie's list for a "ceiling fan or light fixture installation". Peerless was clear that if a fan-rated box was needed, it would be an additional (unspecified) charge. Freddy arrived on time as scheduled. He took down the old fan and showed that it had not been installed with a fan-rated box. The hole for the fan was directly adjacent to a joist. He quoted an additional $130 to finish the install. I agreed. He attached a fan-rated box to the joist. Then he assembled and installed the new fan. No modification to the old hole cut-out was done. I have no complaints with Freddy or his work. All very professional. I think that the addition of $130 to the $99 alrady paid was excessive and not justified by the additional labor and materials. I don't think that I got a good deal with this Big Deal. For comparison, Lowe's contractors charge $89 for a standard ceiling fan installation. Adding the box would be more, but I don't think it would be $130 more.

I found them on Angie's List and he came out to see what was going on. He called the electric compnay to have them come out to check things out. He also installed the surge protector and then check everything out to see what was going on. He was a very nice and hard working. he went out of his way to call our electric company for us.

While the electrician was checking out the main panel (before the work started) he noted to me and in writing that my house lacked a secondary ground (rod as per code). He stated that since he was already here the price would be $125.00 (normally $170.00, I think?), did not pressure me but wanted me to be aware of the situation and made the recommendation. I ok'd the additional work and he was done with everything in about an hour or so (he did sweat pounding that nearly 4 foot rod down into the ground in hot temperatures). I was satisfied with the work preformed and would hire this company again and would recommend them as well. I'm also very happy with "THE BIG DEAL" from Angie's List and hope to find more as my needs arise.

I called to request someone to come look at our spa, because it was not getting electricity. The electrician came out and looked at the electrical box to the spa. he said something is throwing the switch. But, he said spa's were not his area of expertise. I said well, I told the person that I requested service from that it was my spa that was needing work. He did go on and look inside the front panel. But he said because spa's were not his area of expertise that he didn't feel comfortable going any further. At that point, its taken approximately 20 minutes to assess everthing and put it back together, I said fine. The electrician goes to his truck stays there for approximately 10 minutes and comes back in and gives me the bill for $128. ( I had a $15 off coupon to make it $115). I say you've got to be kidding me. The electrician didn't fix anything and he was there for 30 minutes total. They knew it was my spa, why would they send somebody that doesn't know how to fix a spa.

I scheduled an appointment for the following week and the electrician was right on time. Although he encountered some difficulties with hanging the fan he completed both installations quickly and professionally. He cleaned up the areas very well and removed the trash. All in all, a very satisfactory experience.

I was very pleased with my experience!!! I have used Peerless at my personal house in TX and have always been very happy with the work they have done for me!!! I've been using them for about 18 months now and will continue to use them!!!

I noticed that my electric meter was detaching itself from the side of the house. I contacted my electicity provider and they informed me that although they were responsible for the electric meter, the box the meter rests in is the home owner responsibility. I then contacted my home warranty company, who informed me that the electrical meter box was not covered by the home warranty. So, to Angie's List I went, looking for electricians. I saw a coupon for $175 for a whole home surge surpressor, and several positive reviews for Peerless Electric, and I purchased the deal and contacted the company. I left a voicemail message, and was called back within two hours. I scheduled the service call for the next day at 10 a.m. James came promptly at 10, and got to work. Within an hour, the surge supressor was installed. James was able to reattach the electric meter box with some effort within the next hour.

James Baker was electrician who performed the service. He arrived at scheduled appointment time. We discussed the work to be performed. Work was performed quickly and in a professional manner. Completed price was the same as the estimate that I received prior to beginning the work. It was all good!

Arrived on time! Showed him where I wanted the new fans installed. Finished in less than 2 hours!!

Got an Angie's List deal for bathroom replacement fans, and the electrician initially balked at the fan/light combo he was replacing, saying that the deal was for an even swap of like fans, but he went ahead and worked for far longer than either of us expected to get the new fan to mount correctly (modifying the hole in the ceiling, removing old fan mounts). Great job all around, kept me in the loop and checked with me before making necessary adjustments.

Initial electrician had to bring in his supervisor and another fellow to figure out the procedure. Took two days. I think I would negotiate the price a little better next time.

Electrical box replaced and ceiling fan installation completed. Price quoted was what was charged. Work done quickly and efficiently. Would use again.

All the electric outlets in one section of the kitchen went dead. I checked the circuit breaker panel - no tripped breakers, no indication in the kitchen of what was wrong. Of course, it was the weekend. So, the microwave went to the table near a working outlet, the coffee pot went to the spare bathroom and (gasp!) dishes got washed by hand. Monday morning Freddy showed up as scheduled and went right to work. He found a fried GFCI, replaced it, and had the kitchen back to normal. With a little more investigation he found that the main outside ground wire was broken off and the house did not have a ground. Now that it was really hot outside, Freddy pounded an eight foot ground rod into the rock hard black dirt and replaced the faulty ground wire. Freddy did this whole job in a completely professional manner, he didn't waste any time, answered all my questions, and did not leave any litter, wire scraps or other debris. It was a pleasure to have someone like that come and do the work and any further electrical trouble, Peerless gets the call along with a request that they send Freddy.
