Olde World Movers

They showed up but did not work the number of hours I was quoted (and paid for) and they messed up the mattresses (which I had to move up and down stairs to get right). They left multiple pieces of furniture entirely disassembled and in a mass heap upstairs. I would not use this company again.

Very good experience. On time, courteous, extremely careful and didn't break anything. Efficient process made moving quick, saving me money. Moving honestly wasn't that bad, even though it is a hot summer in Texas. Would definitely recommend and use again.

While pricing was competitive and they were responsive, they just couldn't accommodate my needed day.

It's been several days since the fateful move. Each day I've watched my wife in tears saying "Why did they hate us so?". The move started simply enough. The movers came in with an attitude that continued to get more surly as the day wore on. In addition to the foul language we constantly heard the phrases "it will break but that's not MY problem", "we don't do that", and "that's too fragile to move" (referring to a Bose subwoofer). We arrive at the new home and they start bringing in boxes (not furniture) asking "where do you want them?". Followed by, "it'll cost you more to put them where they belong". They began bringing in the furniture and would ask "where do you want it?". We would tell them only to be greeted by "Well it can't go there, there's boxes there". After a day of trying to sort out the chaos, I called the company and complained. They agreed to send a couple of movers out to help. One of them was from the original crew. When I answered the door I was greeted by "I don't have time for this, I've got work to do". At that point, I decided I had had enough and sent them away. I then hired Tried and True Movers to send some movers to help us organize. The 2 that showed up were pleasant, and cheerful and in 1.5 hours, had the house organized where we could begin unpacking in ernest. I have pictures of how they left us should you be interested. *****Update as of 05/22/2020: This is a followup to my initial review. The owner contacted me several weeks later regarding my experience. He reimbursed me for my additional expense and added something extra so I could take my wife out to dinner. I had him repair one piece of furniture that was damaged. The crew that picked up and returned the furniture was very professional and pleasant. I wish I had had them the first time around. The owner has been very proactive trying to repair the stress from the move. Wish that would have happened the first time I complained before writing my initial review.

Excellent! They're professional. There are 3 gentlemen and Dale and his 2 other co workers were very respectful, kind and they did an excellent job. I had an issue with my washer and they're kind enough to come back and pick it up for me. I will definitely use them again.

it went great. the guys that came out and moved us were super helpful and very professional. They were courteous, clean and conscientious of our valuables. I will definitely use them again, hopefully with the same guys. The team lead, Will, was incredibly helpful and so was his two helpers.

I was able to schedule my session for the next day. The phone people were responsive and professional. A truck malfunction delayed our start, but the movers were efficient and courteous. They moved the boxes as directed, and worked at a good pace. They have experience with PODs as well as the usual moving methods. We were through very quickly. I would use these people again and recommend them.

It went great. I needed professional packing services and Olde World Movers connected me up with the resource to do it. The lady that did the work (Elena) did an excellent job. My wife and I was most pleased with all she did and all the great tips she provided us. Thank you Olde World Movers.

I can’t say enough great things about Olde World Movers. They made the move easy. The wonderful men that moved us were very helpful and courteous. They worked at a good pace as to make sure all the furniture was wrapped and secure to prevent damage. I can honestly say this was the best move experience I have ever had. Although their prices were on the high side, they provided a sense of security. They provide full service moving from packing to unloading, without any transfer of good, and if issues arise, they are very easy to work with. And that fact they were more of a local moving company, that was still able to move us from TX-NC provided me an extra peace of mind.
