I called Legends Roofing after the recent hail storm that hit Lakewood in Dallas. Kanish has been great to work with in this stressful time. He has explained all the steps and has even worked with the insurance company when necessary. The roof hasn't gone on yet but I am extremely confident that it will be fabulouse when complete. Call this company. He knows what he is doing and his staff is fantastic. I have never had to go through something like this after a storm and Legends Roofing has made it easy and they have been patient with all my questions.

I contacted Legends Roofing to validate whether I had enough hail damage to justify a complete roof repalcement. They confirmed that I did not. However, there were a few repairs that were necessary, plus I wanted to re-roof my shed. They did an excellent job on my roof repairs and the shed. They showed up on time for the appointment and completed the roof repairs and re-roof in a timely and professional manner. There have been no leaks in the chimney since the repair, which included installation of a chimney cricket to deflect water running off the roof down to the chimney. Some singles and flashing materials were also replaced or repaired. Gabriel was very professional and maintained good communication throughout the estimate and project phases. My only concern was some exposed nails on the roof which were required due to the shape of the roof. I confirmed with him and a third party that this was necessary in this case. I would definitely use them again

He kept the job running smoothly and made sure everything was cleaned up perfectly at the end. He worked flawlessly with the insurance company to make it as simple as possible for us. I contacted Legends and two other sources to obtain not only bids on the work that needed completed at my house, but to get a feel for the companies themselves. Legends Roofing landed in the middle pricing wise, but I felt that the company was more in tune with what needed to be done and how to handle the claims. Dealing with my insurance company proved to be a nightmare. Kanish (Legends Owner) personally got involved to help. Two supplemental claims needed to be filed with the insurance company and no one can explain in detail the number of hours in travel time and phone time that Kanish and his staff had to endure to work with my insurance company (a national company). All of the work that needed to be completed was done so in a timely and efficient manner with one exception. One of the leaks from the roof allowed water to run down the wall between the two bathrooms causing internal wall and tile damage. Kanish worked endlessly with the insurance company and the adjuster but could not get this included in the claim. My only negative in my dealings with Legends Roofing was the sales representative. His concerns were more towards getting the business and moving to the next bid. This caused stalls in the process and Kanish had to step in. The Legends crew that came to the house to complete the roofing work were fast and good. The roof on my house and shed turned out fantastic and I have not had any issues since the repairs have been completed. Legends brought on several sub-contractors to complete various jobs. These contractors were efficient and professional. The fence and ceiling work turned out great. If you have any concerns about using Legends roofing just call and talk to Kanish. He will earn your business and ensure that it is done right.

Instead of leading people on, Mr. Kenish Ali, why don't you just tell potential customers who inquire about estimates for roofing jobs the truth upfront ? YOU need to say that you are NOT INTERESTED IN THAT PARTICULAR JOB for whatever reason you have, If this is the case, then you will not be wasting our valuable time letting us believe you will call, write or show up. I feel you need to solve your problem of disrespecting people who request your services by being straight with your customers! In my case, you had plenty of time to call or email me back with that fact.. It is an understatement to say that - I AM NOT IMPRESSED! I will not be recommending you to friends, or anyone at all. This was almost an instant replay of the January 20, 2012 previous customer report I read on Angie's List reviews where the potential customer was given the runaround, and the roofer never responded, or showed up to check out the job.. In my case, I called, Legends Roofing, given that most of the Angie's List reviews about this roofing company's working reputation were quite positive for this company. .However, the man who answered the phone said he was busy at the moment- (okay- I understand that) so please would I send an email explaining the problem and he would call me back .I replied that I would do that.. and I did it.. However at the time, the roofer did verbally agree to come and give me an estimate for the project at 11am Wednesday 2/1/2012- while the insurance adjuster was also present. This was a request from the insurance adjuster.-not from me. Because he is supposedly a professional business person, I expected the roofer to show up on time, or to please let me know ahead of time if he would not be coming, for whatever reason. . He had my phone number. Maybe his dialing finger was broken. Maybe he was having a bad day. Though I wrote a second email to be sure he would be here today, I did not hear from him at all. before the insurance people came. The insurance adjuster was punctual, did his job, and gave his opinion, but Legends Roofing did not show up as promised.. The insurance people had been there for about an hour, and were about to leave . when someone from Legends Roofing called with a poor excuse for why they were not there yet.. I told them he could still come out and look at the roof today. They said they would come and look at the roof between 2 and 3pm.. Then I got another phone call from his office about the time they should have been at the house. The woman who called said the roofer wanted out of coming by, and I told them, "You know, if you are not interested in the job, I will move on. I will find other company's who will give me estimates. I do think this roofing company needs to decline the job, or doing an estimate- UPFRONT - if it is beyond the roofer's skill level, or if they are just plain not interested. That is just common courtesy. .

Called this company based on previous good reports. Briefly described my issues to a gentleman on the phone who said he didn't have time to talk to me - he asked me to send an email and he said I'd probably be contacted that afternoon. I sent 2 emails with my contact info. Over 3 days later I still haven't heard from anyone, but contacted another company that has already resolved my problems.

They located the leak quickly and repaired it.

CHOSE LEGENDS FROM ANGIES LIST AND CALLED KANISH. HE CAME TO MY HOUSE THE NEXT DAY AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. I INTERVIEWED THREE OTHER ROOFERS, BUT CHOSE LEGENDS BECAUSE OF KANISH'S FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE. HIS WAS NOT THE LOWEST ESTIMATE, BUT BASED ON HIS REPORTS IN ANGIES LIST SEEMED TO BE THE BEST CHOICE, AND PROVED THAT TO BE TRUE.

Legends delivered exactly what they promised and went out of the way to explain each step of the process. I would use them again should the need arise. Kanish and his company performed in a very professional manner and made the whole process seem effortless.

Really nice! Worked hard to make sure I was satisfied, which is not easy, because I am an architect. I would recommend them to anyone.

Kanish and his crew were great. Kanish described in detail everything they would be doing and how much it would cost and that is what they did and for the price quoted. They left no trace of having been there and even removed a large dead tree branch that was hanging down over the work shop. I would not hesitate to use Legends again.

Kanish and Aaron were quick to respond to the call when I discovered a leak in our roof. The afternoon that I called, Aaron came out to the house and examined the entire roof, including the problem area. After explaining the work needed and providing an estimate, he was able to come out the next day and perform the repair. By chance, twelve hours after Aaron completed the work on our roof, a thunderstorm rolled through Dallas and poured for several hours, proving Aaron's work to be successful. I would definitely hire Legends again.

We called Thursday morning. Kanish came out Thursday night, gave us an estimate; the material was delivered on Friday and the roof was replaced on Saturday. The workers did a great job. My only complaint is that they did not honor their Angie's ist coupon.

Due to excess heat it took 2 full days to complete the job.

Very nice, professional crew, left interior & exterior clean, felt very safe with all workmen; 5 of 7 homeowners in cul-de-sac also using Legend's. Owner, Kanish Ali, was present almost daily - great to work with! Highly recommend!

The job turned out just like they said it would. I liked Kanish, the owner, and his hands on approach. He was very informative. He told me exactly what was involved and he followed through with it. They started and finished the job in one day. They had about 13 men out there so I liked that. It wasn't prolonged over more than one day. The job they did was quite good. Kanish came out when the insurance adjuster came out and went up on the roof and helped the guy identify all the damage. Kanish is a very astute and very intelligent fellow. He has got 2 masters degrees. He is a sharp individual. The staff's friendliness and professionalism were very high. They missed a couple of small things, but that was negligible. They did a very good job of cleaning up. I didn't compare their price to others so I don't know comparatively where they stand, but I think it was reasonable.

Kanish (the lead on each job and company owner) came by constantly to discuss the process before, during and after completion. I made the mistake(?) or had the good fortune to be INSIDE the house that day while the tear down and transformation was taking place. And, man, did these guys work their b*tts off! From start to finish the whole thing took one DAY! I was astounded at how fast and thorough they were in this dreadful heat. The owner (Kanish) dropped by early on the start date to let me know he'd checked the weather report and even though the chance of rain was very small he was ready to protect our home fully with materials (covering designed for such an event) 'just in case.' The sun was shining brightly so this amazed me. After the job was complete he came by more than once to finish up some minor cosmetics (like trimming a few exposed nails from the eave - which were no big deal but since I mentioned seeing a few they came back TWICE to make sure it had been done). Their cleanup left the yard better than when they started! I had numerous bidders - some who wouldn't even talk to me until I gave them our insurance company's final "estimate" but not Kanish with Legends Roofing. I explained I had filed a claim but had not yet heard back from the insurance company. Despite this fact I still requested written bids from roofing companies so I could plan ahead financially (don't like surprises!). Unlike many I suppose - who choose the 'cheapest' bid - that was not what I was looking for. I did my homework thoroughly on every company who visited with us. Length of time in business, reviews, even 'attitudes' played a huge part with me. The more professional, the better. Price mattered; it needed to be 'reasonable' - but it didn't have to be the least expensive. Kanish had no problem writing up an estimate in detail for me without the final insurance claim determination. I admit to having received bids that were less than his, but I appreciated his candor, his attention to detail and professionalism throughout this process. They also installed radiant barrier to roof (something we had been thinking about doing), replaced some rotted wood on front of house, and put new wind turbines in place (better quality than what we had). They removed the satellite dish during the roof replacement but Kanish had earlier explained (yet, again, his attention to detail) that he couldn't 'guarantee' it would 'set back' exactly in the same positioning as before, and recommended I contact my provider to schedule a resetting of the dish ("just in case") - unfortunately something I forgot to do - MY FAULT - not Legends. Still...the attention to detail and concern this roofing company owner placed upon that - and many other small details - went beyond his call of responsibility. I would hire this company for ANY reason. If they go into other types of home repair or remodeling they'll be on my speed dial (or email list). Great job; great experience.

The job overall was fine. They are very responsive and they have great customer service.

This company was one of several contractors who placed bids on my roof. Although I did not choose this company, it was my second choice. After deciding to go with another company, I called all the non-selected contractors to inform them we highly considered them but decided to go with someone else. Legend was the only company that gave useful feedback. The owner is very professional, and he was very helpful in ensuring I made a good selection. Even though we did not hire this company, I am happy that we had their bid. If Legend Roofing had been the first company to examine the roof and consult with the insurance adjuster, then I would have chosen them instead. They seem to be top quality. I contacted the provider to take a look at my roof after a hail storm. They came out on time, and were very professional. After evaluating my roof, I was informed there was no damage and furthermore, I do not need a new roof. I was very pleased they did not try to sell me something I don't need. I would use them again.

Even though this was a small job, the company was sensitive to my budget and didn't insist I needed more than I requested. A two man crew was at my house within 2 hours and did exactly what I needed (as far as I can tell). As an added service, they sprayed my turbines with WD-40 so they wouldn't squeak. I paid by check and the transaction was a pleasure from beginning to end.
