The floor is really beautiful! Jamie is very punctual all the time, the project is done right in time with pretty tight schedule. His folks did the job carefully and precisely, I would definitely recommend him!

The floors are beautiful. Better than we imagined. We contacted several flooring contractors and almost as soon as we mentioned bamboo, they said they would not do the work. Some even said it could not be done. I tried to explain the type of bamboo we had (solid vertical cut), but the answer was still no. Jaime would not commit until he test stained a few samples of the original flooring we had left over. After a couple of revisions, we liked the product and Jaime agreed to do the work. We agreed on a price and date. Did I mention we were 1500 miles away? He and his crew showed up at the appointed time (this alone was a chance to rejoice) and started the work. Hs crew was responsive, pleasant, and professional. They completed the work before the agreed upon time (we were having all our furniture delivered from out of state). Everything went smoothly The finished product is just great. We could not be happier. Should the need ever arise, Jaime would be my first call.

It was great and less expensive than I thought it would be. Jaime's team came in on the agreed date and finished on time. The flooring and finish are exactly what we wanted. Friends have visited and they love the new look.

Better than expected! So kind and exceptional work!

Getting ready to list our house and had a couple of small areas of water damaged engineered wood flooring that needed to be repaired. Jamie came out to look at the job, which was by all accounts not a big job, and ended up bringing back his master installer to make certain they could make the water damaged floors right with the amount of wood (which was limited) I had left over from original install. Fernando, the master installer, decided he could make the repairs with the amount of wood we had available. Completed the job in less then 2 days of when I originally contacted Jamie which was outstanding. Only 3 hours to make the repairs. The amount of the completed job was considerably less than what I thought it would be. Had another contractor from Angie's List lined up to look at the job and when I called to cancel the appointment he didn't ever remember he was supposed to come by. That contractor did not seem interested on the original call I had with him because it was s mall job. I strongly and highly recommend Jamie C and his team to anyone looking to install hardwood floors. It was (and is) clear to me that Jamie is a man of strong integrity. He did the job in a very short time frame and showed up when he said he would. They took great care of us and I will definitely hire Jamie C again. Very reasonably priced and an honest/reputable is hard to find with any contractor however Jamie exceeds expectations in all categories. Thank you Jamie and Fernando for doing such a great job in such a timely manner. You are awesome!

Mr.Jaime Chavarria came to our home couple of months before the project start date. His contract is clear and concise, to the point as to what his team will deliver and what we have to provide. I got several quotes and his quote was in the middle but the reason we chose him was he did make a good impression the first time he came to give us the quote. Once we were ready, Mr.Chavarria came out and measured once more and ordered the material. Our project was reasonably good sized, we replaced almost 2400 sqft carpet with site finished hand scraped hickory flooring. We did not like the cathedral pattern in the natural oak flooring, nothing wrong with it, just personal choice. Also we have a large dog, so when Jaime came out the first time, we picked his brain for other options than oak. He suggested quarter sawn oak and hickory. Later he brought some samples and sent me to a place where I can see it installed. Then we decided to go with the hickory floor. Jaime does not hire subcontractors on a per job basis like other contractors. He has a dedicated crew and throughout the project I see him treat them well and in turn we can see the quality work his team delivered. Fernando is the team lead and he has lots and lots of experience and it shows in his work and his suggestions. From the preparation of the floor, to laying the plywood and then the wood, they did an excellent job. The wholesale place messed up the order and ordered number 1 grade hickory instead of the clear like the flooring planks. It was delivered couple of weeks back along with the flooring material. Fernandao and Jaime realized they have delivered the wrong grade and did not install it. I would have never noticed the difference, but they both took the stair pieces back to the wholesale dealer and made them order the clear grade. Because of this Fernando and his crew had to make several extra trips. The wood sat for over two weeks and once the stairs arrived, Fernando did a wonderful job finishing up the stairs. Then when time came to pick the stain, he showed us several stains and we picked one. The crew just like the other steps did an excellent job and the floor looks like you can eat off the floor :) There are lot of cheap contractors around and after seeing his quote if you think he is little on the pricey side, keep this saying in your mind, "The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" :) Jaime is a well mannered person and we had several projects going on at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and the team which is hard to find in the flooring world. Trust me and hire him, you will not be disappointed and glad you did an will thank me. I wish had more projects and money to hire him, not right now, but in the future certainly will. Thanks Jaime and Fernando for the wonderful floor which our family will enjoy years to come. The floors are beautiful! I left my house for the week the work was being done and when I returned, I couldn't have been more pleased. I was very surprised that I couldn't see where the existing wood ended and the new wood began. The wood was matched perfectly and the finish is beautiful all through the house. I've waited a little over a week to write a review thinking that I would be able to report any issues that I may have, but I have no issues. No problems to report. It is all installed beautifully and there are no irregularities that I have discovered. The more time that passes, the happier I am with the new hardwood floors and newly refinished wood floors.

The work went extremely well. We had used Jamie C Flooring in the past but he outdid himself this time with the level of professionalism and calm reassurance that he displayed throughout the project. He was more than accommodating in scheduling the work so that the other workers (paint & texture folks) could do their jobs also. He was also more than willing to work with us on a payment schedule until our insurance carrier paid the claim. Fernando and his crew were always prompt and showed up when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves each day and were extremely careful with our furniture and belongings. They were able to remove the old floor, install the sub floor and the hardwoods in 3 days! Once all the painting was completed, they came back to scape and finish the floor (in 2 days). The level of professionalism and attention to detail is evident in the finished product and we could not be more pleased with the finished result. As stated above, we had used this company in the past and are glad to report that they continue to maintain a superior level of workmanship and professionalism. Should we ever need to replace our floors again, we would have no hesitation in using Jamie C Flooring.

Right after the installation, we discovered many hollow spots on various part of the floor and notified them to check and fix the problem spots. They told us it?s normal and we should give it a few weeks to let the adhesive matured. We waited but no improvement and it got worse. 3 month after, we discovered floor plank actually started to buckle up in many places. In March, some planks pop out of the floor. We contacted Jamie many times, he finally came out and told us that was due to the moisture in the house that he is not responsible for. Before the installation he tested the moisture level against the install floor space and told us there was no moisture issue and perfect to install. Now, when issue occurs, he is not willing to stand behind his product and services as he advertised. After repeated calls and urges, he finally come with his crew chief, Fernando and fixed 1 little spot reluctantly ( that spot later pop out of the place 1 month later) and made excuses not do anything further unless we pay him extra money for the work they did not do right to begin with. There are more than a dozen spots on the new wood floor that planks are actually buckling up and some even damage the baseboard. We had a second opinion from another floor professional. According to him, this is a clear installation issue that they failed to leave space at the edge of the floor so the wood has no place to expand or move. I am extremely disappointed on Jamie C Flooring on their workmanship and customer services. This has caused us tremendous amount of stress. We have reported this case to the Better Business Bureau and contemplating a possible suit. I want all future Angie's list customers to be aware what kind of contractor you are dealing with.

Crew arrived on time and finished within the timeframe outlined by Jaime on his initial visit. Price was what was quoted with the addition of a bundle of flooring for repairs and extra trim done in kitchen/dinning room. Very professional work & behavior by everyone. This company goes the extra mile in anticipating problems & advising you of solutions. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful job. They look better than when I bought the home in 1975.

Jaime came out on time to quote my job. He was very personable, prompt and very thorough. After getting 3 quotes and all were very competitive, it was Jaime's confidence and customer service that I decided to go with him. His crew came out on time as promised and since I had removed all items from drawers and cabinets as expected, he was able to get things moving much quicker. We did have a few glitches in the top coat, but nothing major and everything was as Jaime had promised. I would highly recommend Jaime to all my clients as he is all about making the customer happy and I got that and more!! My floors turned out beautifully and I could not be happier!! I would highly recommend Jamie C Flooring. His professionalism stands out in all aspects and so does his crew members. Pricing was good. The prep work including sealing off the other areas of the house, to clean up everyday was good. Jamie checked in everyday to monitor the progress. He also mentioned that we could call them if we want anything retouched etc., very accommodating indeed. The handscraped white oak floors, look amazing. The baseboard trim turned out to be beautiful and his crew did an excellent job on that. Overall, we are highly pleased and would recommend him to our friends.

Jaime was excellent to work with, he brought out several samples of flooring, multiple times, until we found one that we loved. Jaime has excellent communication and customer service skills. He is very responsive and promptly gets back with a quote, or to answer any questions you might have.

The service went well and they did a very good job. They are knowledgeable about what they are doing. Their pricing is pretty high. The staff spent less than an hour replacing 3 boards in the floor this most recent visit. They are very friendly and responsive. He returned calls promptly. I just wish they would have been able to charge the service to our credit card but his card machine was broken at the time. I would definitely use them again.

Jaime was so great to work with! As a business owner and a homeowner who has had several remodels completed by several different contractors, Jaime was by far one of the most dependable, punctual and courteous people that I have dealt with. He treated me with respect and listened carefully to my requests. He returned every phone call the same day; usually within a few hours. His crew showed up exactly when they said they would. They were also very courteous and pleasant to work with. They were careful to protect my furniture and belongings by making sure things were covered up before they started the job. When they completed the job, they made sure to place the furniture carefully back in place and clean up. The job was completed before expected and the floors are just beautiful! Better that expected! Our personal circumstances were difficult as we were in the midst of a move from FL to TX at the time we were making flooring selections. Jaime worked with us diligently throughout the entire process and did an excellent job of communicating so that we could find the perfect custom stain and finish. The white oak floors were hand scraped, stained with a custom color that Jaime and his crew formulated for us and sealed beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the end result and we strongly recommend Jaime C Flooring.

He made the best overall presentation and offered the most selections of quality wood flooring. He took the time to explain the installation process. His pricing was fair and in line with competition but he offered better installation options. He arrive on time and his crew completed the two room project ahead of schedule. In summary, Great sales presentation, quality wood options, great installation options, and competed a quality installation.

Well, our floor is still in the same shape as it was when we started our efforts to remedy the issue. I gave Jaime C Flooring to the 29th of August to either "replace the floor or refund all monies". Neither has happened. In August we received an email from Jaime Chavarria stating he'd received the report from Mullican and, to paraphrase, "it was a packaging issue at Mullican" which caused the damage on the wood. Okay, great, now what? We requested a copy of Mullican's report but Mr. Chavarria said that due to confidential issues he couldn't cut and paste the report but he was happy to quote what was in it. I contacted Mullican and was told there was not a report sent to anyone because no report was issued. I then contacted the Mullican sales rep at Trinity distributor's and she told me she saw the report and would send us a copy. After four days I contacted Mullican upper management again and I then received a phone call from Trinity and was told by Mr. Phil Robinson that,"..people have not been very fourthcoming" with me and apologized. Evidently the Mullican sales rep who works for him came clean about the whole issue and this is when I found out there never was a report. Mr. Chavarria is neither honest nor reliable, which, according to his website is his 'mission statement'. By direction of my legal counsel I have submitted a complaint through BBB and if our issue is not resolved we will file a civil law suit in an effort to get what we paid for. I will update this upon the completion of the BBB process. In the mean time I recommend consumers avoid contracting with Jaime C Flooring until or if Mr. Jaime Chavarria does the right thing. If he does, it will all be good. If he doesn't, shame on him and shame on us for finding our contractor on Angie's List. Sept. 27 Jaime gave us 1/2 of our money back, leaving it up to us to deal with fixing the floor.
