I contacted Dalworth by phone, described the size and condition of carpets, and requested an estimate. The man I spoke to told me he could tell me exactly how much it would cost; his estimate was for $252. These were area rugs that were water damaged in a house leak incident a couple days before; they were laid out in driveway area (in the heat), set on pallets and blocks to dry ; after two days the rugs were still damp, plus mildewey. I explained all of this to Dalworth before the estimate. Dalworth picked up the rugs, per our agreement, and left a bill for $553. I called Dalworth and complained that this was not the price quoted; their response was that the rugs were wet and needed an additional cleaning process. I replied that this was discussed in the initial phone estimate, and that I claimed that the rugs were wet/damp...not wet/dripping, etc.. The man I spoke with stated that this was the price. I allowed Dalworth to continue the job, although I stated my dissatisfaction with the charges and the way they handled this; I was under a time crunch with the arrival of company (to be staying in our home) so I needed the rugs done. The way it should have been handled: the person who picked up the rugs should have notified me that the price was more than doubling (I wasn't home, but they had my cell number); the pick-up person wrote on the margin of the worksheet " no 100% guarantee on stains and odors"...this wasn't explained when I got the estimate...I can understand that certain types of stains may be a problem, but when I pay $600 for my rugs to be cleaned I expect they will come back smelling good! Finally, Dalworth should have honored their original quote of $252...at the least, they should have shown some attitude of compromise re the altered estimate; instead, they were very black & white about the issue, no acknowledgement of any mistake, just an attitude of 'if you don't like it, we will send them back'.

Everything has always turned out great with this company. I have used this company to several times. They are always here on time and very responsive to my calls. They are very respectful of your home. They are a trustworthy company that won’t let you down.

The job went very well. I don't remember them being late. There was nothing about them that really rocked my world, though.

I was happy with what they did. I had used them before for routine carpet cleaning. After that I bought new carpet and brought a carpet cleaner for myself because it would be more cost effective for me. I would recommend Dalworth Rug Cleaning to others. At that time they were very competitive.
