Company said service person would arrive between 0900 and 1100. Arturo arrived at 0900. He went to work and did a fine job stretching out carpeting that had become lumpy in two rooms and a hallway. Very professional work. Job took just over two hours. He cleaned up leaving no trace of scrap carpet or debris. I had guessed the work would have cost around $300. Turned out the price, including Angie's discount, was $322 so I was satisfied. Paid with a credit card.

We removed all the small furniture the night before to help them out. The didn't even vacuum or steam clean under the beds. They also did not even help us put the furniture back. When they cleaned the area rugs outside, they left them on the ground in the driveway. They also poured the dirty water right on the middle of our driveway and they didn't even bother to wash it down with a hose which left all the clumps of dried dirt and fabric that I needed to sweep off the driveway. This was after my two year old started running his toy through it! Not very professional.
Description of Work: The company cleaned 3 bedroom carpet areas and 3 area rugs.

I have used them before. I have used other name brand cleaners, and this company tends to call me and ask questions to make sure they are doing the job correctly. They don't hit me up for extra charges. They did a good job. They were kind of late this last time. It wasn't really an issue because it was an empty rental property.

It is easy to give a company a good review when a project goes as expected, but the real measure of a company's committment to and reputation for customer service comes when a job goes awry as happened with my upholstery cleaning job. Dalworth made every effort to cure the problem themselves, and when that was not possilble, they made me whole again, more than living up to their excellent reputation.

After installing travertine in part of our living room we needed to have our carpet re-attached and finished up to the new tile flooring. The tile installation had raised a lot of dust, so we also wanted the carpet cleaned. In addition, we needed next day service because my wife was traveling to see family a couple of days later and wanted to see this completed before she left. I would have preferred having another company do the repair, their specialty, and a different company then come do the cleaning, both also top rated on Angie's List, and both of which had provided estimates over 30% lower than Dalworth, but the repair guy could not fit us into his schedule until after my wife's departure. So we chose Dalworth despite the higher prices because they could do everything the next day, and they also had good Angie's List grades and feedback. The service technicians were punctual, professional and helpful, providing good advice on how to do handle the eventual re-installation of runners on the stairs. Dalworth had not previously provided even a ballpark estimate for the carpet repair, insisting on the phone that it could not be done accurately, so the first thing the service technician did was measure and evaluate the task. His firm estimate was within the range I expected (at the high end of the range) so I gave the OK. Shortly afterwards, the technician doing the repair quickly noticed and showed me that the carpet needing re-installation had been cut a few inches too short in one section by the tile installer, and that it would require patching of the gap with some of the left-over carpet that had been cut with several inches to spare. This was not in the scope of any of the original estimates, so I knew that the final price would turn out to be higher than expected ($40 higher as it turned out). The service technicians both seemed committed to doing whatever it took to do a good job and I have nothing but good things to say about them. However, the cleaning, at Dalworth's mid-tier "Standard" level, did not achieve what I expected for the price I paid. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations. This is the first time I have had my carpeting cleaned professionally. My wife and I have done it ourselves in the past using rented equipment as well as our own household carpet cleaning machine. I feel that Dalworth's results weren't any better than when I have cleaned the carpeting myself, so what I actually paid for is only the convenience of not having to do it myself. Therefore, when or if I do this again, it'll be with one of several highly rated competitors that charge much less.

This service was of an emergency nature in that Spot Shot had been sprayed all over a carpet and left on it with no ventilation, which made those of us left in the house, unaware of what had been done, very sick. The technician arrived at 3:45, between 2 and 4 as scheduled. He arrived in a plain white van with no writing on it at all. The technician was nice and said that he had been cleaning carpets for 10 years. Although I paid for the Standard service which provides for the technicians to pre-vacuum, I had already moved all the small pieces of furniture off of the carpet and vacuumed. We talked about the chemical that needed to be cleaned from the bedroom and the pets that we have in the house. The tech then went around and pre-treated for pets before starting to clean the carpet. He had multiple equipment failures during the process. First it was a connector that was spraying water everywhere. Then when he tried to tighten it down, it broke off and he had to piece something together to be able to clean the carpets. While cleaning the carpet in the bedroom, a hose broke sending dirty water spilling into the dining room. I provided towels which he used to soak up the water. I began to wonder why a big company like Dalworth was sending out technicians with equipment in such poor repair. The service I paid for included grooming the carpets and using floor fans to speed the drying process. Neither of these was done. When I asked about the grooming, having no idea what that actually involved, he told me that he had kind of pushed back on the carpet to get the fibers to stand up a bit. When I asked how long it would take for the carpets to dry so that the bedroom could be used, he suggested that I put a box fan in the doorway to speed up the drying. I was also supposed to receive a written 30-day guarantee that I never got. Overall, I figured that at least the carpets were cleaned so there was no more chemical residue and perhaps I had misunderstood what the person setting up the appointment had told me. It's really hard to think straight after chemical inhalation poisoning. The next morning when I went to put things back in the den, I noticed something yellow on the carpet. I picked at it with my fingernail and it came right up. So, apparently, the carpet did not exactly get clean. I went back and checked my confirmation. Sure enough, I paid for Standard service but my invoice, I notice, says "Econ". Indeed. Econ is what I got. I called back to the company, thinking maybe it was a mis-communication and asked to have someone come out and re-clean, as well as perform the rest of the services I had paid for. The person I spoke with was very apologetic and, at my request, scheduled someone to come the same day between 3 and 5. No one showed up. At 5:07 I called back to see where the technician was and was told that my appointment was not until the following day, Saturday. With everyone home from work and school, Saturday would never work. The person I spoke with offered to go back and listen to the call to see who had told me that my appointment was on the same day. I declined as it really doesn't matter to me who's responsible for the mistake. The woman offered to try and get someone out that same night. I again declined due to the lateness of the hour. It would not be possible for the carpet to be dry in time for anyone to get to bed. One of the people who sleeps in that room gets up for work at 6 am, rides the trains for an hour and a half each way and doesn't get home until almost 8 o'clock at night. There's no way I'm going to tell him that he can't go to bed because of Dalworth's mistake. In the end, I scheduled the re-work to be done on Monday but I will never use this company again. The quality of work and the equipment that was used is what I would have expected if I had called someone who was advertising on CraigsList. It certainly is not what I expect from a company like Dalworth. The finished product is far from "The next best thing to new".

First time I've had a professional carpet cleaning (we usually do it ourselves but didn't have time this year). The result was OK, but the service didn't match what they described on the phone. They didn't move furniture, didn't setup fans (both were included in the price), and they changed the original setup date for the service. Really disappointing experience. I'll try someone else next time.

We've used Dalworth for several years to clean our carpets every year. They always do a good job and they can usually get to our house w/in a couple of days of us calling them. They have not necessarily been the cheapest, but the technicians have always been very courteous and seem well-trained, and we think the small premium you pay over the cheapest competitors is worth it.

They were actually not professional at all. We were pleased with the work itself but the professionalism of the crew was terrible. The people we talked to over the phone did not communicate with the people on the truck, and so we had to negotiate the pricing again. The quality of the work was good. I would actually not recommend them.

We have NO record of this address or name in our customer file. Based on our customer records we have never serviced the client by [this name] at that address.
I called Dalworth and they sent people to look them over. They noted all imperfections[ loose threads etc.] and offered to clean and fix the rugs. They wrote details about every rug, tagged, rolled and took them to be cleaned. The rugs were brought back in a week and they are beautiful. The colors are vibrant again.I would use Dalworth again and will as soon as the rugs need cleaning. The people they sent were very professional and even moved furniture for me.

They took out all our rugs and cleaned them. We have a lot of oriental rugs when we moved we took those and they did a fabulous job cleaning them. I just thought their service was excellent. They came in and took the carpets away and then they cleaned them at their site and brought them back. They removed the furniture and reinstalled them. It was just perfect. Their price was really good. I had 2-3 quotes before I chose them. My neighbors had used them before.

Be sure to get a better and complete/detailed understanding of what will be done. The charges are usurious for the amount of work that was needed and done -- the entire cleaning took less than 1.5 hours (which in itself was good - but for the price was bad.) There was an area rug that sits on top of the carpet but is not included in that area when it is to be cleaned.
Description of Work: Confrontational attitude of the technician. Incomplete understanding among the sales (phone) personnel, technician and the consumer. The technician wanted to pursue a conversation and when he realized I was upset - never spoke with me again and referred his comments to my roommate - who was not the one paying the bill or hired the service.

I was very pleased with both services and the professionalism of the staff both in the office and in my home. There were no problems with scheduling. It was well worth the cost and I will call them again.
Description of Work: I moved my mother to skilled nursing and needed to have the carpet cleaned in her house before I listed it to sell. I was given a price on the phone. I had a man and his son come to the house and clean the carpets. They did an excellent job and I asked them if they had time to do some other areas and they did. I was very pleased with their work and their willingness to do the other areas. I would certainly ask for them again. I also had four of her area rugs picked up, cleaned and delivered back to the house. One was a very large needlepoint rug and they quickly picked up the rugs and delivered them on the day that they committed to. They placed the rugs down and put all the furniture back on the rugs, including moving a piano. I was surprised at how brilliant the colors were and how fresh the rugs smelled.
