They come out pretty much when we call them. Usually they are able to schedule us within the next week. They do very good work on the lawn.

I first contacted Juan a few months ago for clean up of my yard. Him and his workers did an excellent job for a good price. So I hired Juan to start doing my yard full time. It has gone downhill ever since. He always has one excuse after another for not showing up, or showing up without the equipment to trim bushes. I have to constantly call to see when he is coming, sometimes he answers and some times he doesn't. I have been requesting flowers for weeks, last I heard from Juan he was on his way to pick up flowers and he called and said he was in a car accident. That was two weeks ago. Now I see he is doing 99.00 big deals! He can't even take care of his existing customers! I sent Juan a text yesterday...4/24/14 telling him all my bushes and shrubs were in need of trimming and that I haven't heard from him. What about my flowers, and the 2 sprinkler heads he was suppose to change. I told him this is ridiculous. I got no response. Juan and his guys are great when you can get them out to your place. They do a good job, just not dependable at all. If you are looking for a one time job I would recommend them, but if you want dependable regular service without a bunch of excuses, not bringing the equipment to trim shrubs, constantly always having to call, and maybe they will show up and maybe they wont... forget this company.

Miscommunication made setting the appointment difficult. Juan made a point of following up and getting the job done.

I contacted Juan on 4/15 to request a quote on weed control and fertilizer services for my lawn. Juan answered the phone and told me that he was driving and asked if I could leave him a text message with my information and he would get back to me. I did as he asked and left him a text message with my name, contact information, and a description of the services I was requesting. I left the text message at approximately 1:30pm on 4/15. After 10pm that same evening, I was awoken from sleep by two straight calls from a number I did not recognize. Both times the caller hung up without leaving a message. The next day I realized that the number was from Juan. I have no idea why he thought it was appropriate to return my call at such a late hour, and I was more perplexed at why he would call and not try to leave a message. The next day, 4/16, Juan called again around 6:30pm. I missed his call, but again he did not leave a message. I called him back immediately and he did not answer. I left him another text message asking if he was able to give me the quote I requested. He called back and this time I was able to answer the phone. After answering the phone, Juan mumbled something into the phone and immediately hung up on me. It is now 4/21, and I have not heard anything from Juan. His behavior of calling late at night and calling on potential customers and hanging up on them is extremely disturbing. I have still not received a quote but I am not likely to want to associate with this company after experiencing this behavior.

I've been trying to contact him since I made the purchase, and he has been incredibly unresponsive since. Through repeated emails and phone calls, I never heard back after the initial response.

Sod and yard work went well and they finished in a timely manner. The path was a different story. I asked that they match the decomposed granite that was already there. They put down a crushed granite that was not what I ordered and was filled with rock. To change it to way I told him would have been a big hassle so he took 50.00 off that part of the job. He would not answer his phone on several occasions. I wanted him to do my bi weekly mowing and he has never texted or called me back.

I cannot thank Juan and his crew enough for the awesome job they did. My flower beds have never looked so good. It would've taken me all day to accomplish that. Juan communicated with me immediately after I purchased the coupon and wanted to schedule a time. He was kind and worked me into his already tight schedule. Thank you gentlemen. I will not hesitate to use your services again.

Mr. Cabrera contacted me promptly and arranged a time for the service to be done. His crew showed up as planned, found out from me what i wanted done, then got to work. They cleaned out and weeded all beds, mowed, trimmed, and pruned. They did an outstanding job of cleaning up after the work was completed, and Mr. Cabrera made sure I was satisfied with all work that was done before the crew left. I will be using AJ's Lawn again. Thanks for a job well done!

Signed up for service. Understanding that provider might be very busy, we left date flexible and suggested April 10th pm and requested a call to set up a more specific time. When no call came, we called him. Apology was made but no date set.

Very rarely do I rave about work we had done, but I really was floored by how great Juan and his crew wereI I mean they literally just left and I wanted to jump on Angies list to write a review. And this is saying alot given nearly everyone I've found on Angie's list has been very good, but I was VERY impressed with AJ's Lawn. Their crew of 4 people for 1 hour got everything on our todo list -- completing it very quickly and they did a top notch job. Not only clearing out the yard waste, but actually hauling it away at no additional charge. Juan was super nice and super knowledgeable. We are looking forward to having him back to actually help with more stuff in our yard now that the basic clean up is completed. These guys are DEFINITELY going to be added to the rolodex! Thank you Juan!

Juan showed up to give an estimate at the scheduled time. His crew then showed up a few days later to perform the actual work. They worked quickly, and removed all the debris when finished. All of the agreed upon work items were complete to my satisfaction. I will definitely work with Juan again. Given the amount of work done, his price was quite reasonable.

They did such a great job for such a great price that I ended up using them to maintain my yard for the rest of the season. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a company that cares about their customers and is consistent in the great job that they do every time they come. I intend to continue using them this year.

Was looking for new lawn company. After several days of reviewing several companies on Angies list I decided on three. Started making calls on December 16th. Out of the three Juan answered the phone. Left messages for the other two. Juan was super nice. I'm in Arlington and his day for Arlington is on Fridays. This was Monday. I really wanted my yard done immediately as the ice storm had brought down leafs and twigs. Was a mess here. He said let me see what I can do. Juan called me back and we set an appointment for the next day. He and his crew were right on time and cleaned my large yard up beautifully! They did an excellent job. I will continue using Juan and his crew.

Made a Saturday appointment for 10 - 11. No show. Didn't answer the phone either.

Juan came immediately to give me an estimate and was very professional and friendly. He described in detail what his plan was and even showed me the exact branches he was going to cut. His estimate was much lower than other estimates I had received in the past. I called a week later to accept the estimate and he came that same day. His workers were very courteous and did an amazing job. The trees look amazing!

I called last Friday a few days after we moved in and spoke to Juan. He came to my house a few hours later look at the yard gave me a price which was very reasonable and his crew showed up the same evening. They did an excellent job, the clean up after was complete including the little bit of grass that fell in the pool.

He does a great job. They are very detailed and clean up after they are done, on time, and great with contacting me.

Juan came out for an estimate that was very reasonable. Set up time for job and arrived with crew. Gave instructions to crew who did an exceptionally fine job. Couldn't be happier!

He was very friendly, worked quickly, and did the jobs as agreed upon. However he is terrible at returning phone calls. That is the only thing that kept me from giving him an A. I didn't know if he was going to show up and I had to call him to confirm the appointment.

I called AJ's Lawn service to come out and give me an estimate first on the job I needed. My yard was in very bad shape and needed a lot of work done. My front yard is somewhat small and my back yard is about a quarter of an acre. He came out the next morning to give me an estimate, even tho it was cold and rainy. The estimate he gave me is what I was charged. I had a lot to be done, lots of fallen branches and debris that had to be removed. I had a very overgrown yard, lots of bushes all of which were extremely overgrown as well. They trimmed and shaped all of the bushes very nicely, they blew out all of the leaves (there were LOTS), cleaned up the all the branches etc, then mowed, edged and cleaned up and all in a very timely manner. They also made note of everything I requested to be done or left alone. My next visit with them will be considerably less and they will come as needed and do not require a contract. The price will be according to what I need done, between $20 & $40 a visit. I am very pleased and would refer them to anyone who asks about lawn service!!!

We contacted this company on April 19, and was told they would call me back between noon and 1 on that day. After not hearing back, i called around 4:30 and was told they were going to be there within the hour for an estimate. Nearly 2 hours later, he finally showed up to do that estimate. The price was reasonable, so scheduled for them to come by the next day. We were told they would call by the afternoon, to confirm when they would be here. I heard nothing and even tried to call him back around 4:30 and received the Voicemail. I left a message, but got no call back. Around 6:30, 2 men finally showed up to mow the lawn. When they finally showed up, they were friendly and did a quick job, and the yard looked great before they left, 30 minutes or so later. I would highly recommend them for yard work, but you need to set aside a lot of time waiting for them to show up and return calls. The only good thing is, that I happened to be off work on that day, so I was home during that time, anyway.

We started using AJ's last year. They are wonderful, professional and do a great job in a short amount of time. The last time they were here, they picked up my neighbor's business (I think), too.

We had a great experience with AJ's. They did such a wonderful and amazing job on our yard (our back yard looked like a mini jungle) that we have asked them to do our weekly service. We called them yesterday and they came out today! You can't ask for a better response time than that. The crew was professional and we are very happy with their service. Thanks Angie's List!!!!!

Juan Cabrera the owner came out and gave us a estimate on mowing the front and back. Also he checked the soil and let us know we had a fungus and he would till and treat the front yard. The day after he gave us an estimate the workes came and did a wonderful job. We have asked his service to keep our lawn. What really made a difference he came out and checked the soil not looking at our yard on the computer.
