Description of Work: The price is based on the job. They come out and give you an estimate. All the way from the receptionist to the movers themselves, they were all professional, friendly, and easy to work with. There are no hidden charges. They even accommodated my one day service request.

This was the single worst move of my entire life. I have moved over 25 times in my life in several parts of the country and have never experienced anything this horrible ever. They did show up on time and is basically the only thing they did correct. Then walks in this crew of which 2 of the 3 movers were totally inexperienced. It took them 8 hours, 8 hours! To pack an already somewhat packed ONE bedroom apartment and move us 6 miles away. We did not have anything special to move, there was not a grand piano, there was not anything unusual at all. They were the laziest group of people milking the clock to charge us as much as possible. They used our tools, damaged our apartment and the packing was totally unorganized. There was spilled food everywhere in boxes and we are still missing various items from the move. They damaged multiple items, threw clothes all over our house and had zero regard for out items. They put virtually nothing away and was shocked at how bad this was. We contacted them that day to complain only to get shoved off until the owner was in on Monday. We called several times the next week and they said they were going to mail us a paper claim form that we never received. When we went to use the washer and dryer for the first time, they incorrectly hooked it back up and water flooded our room. We sent pictures, wrote several emails and calls and NOTHING happened. The last thing we got was a random call from some guy from the warehouse that said we signed paperwork so tough. We only signed to get these unprofessional clowns out of our house. They were a complete and utter rip off. NEVER EVER EVER use them. Please DO NOT use this company. We are not going to rule out legal action along with contacting the transportation dept. of Texas. We are writing this so no one else gets scammed like they scammed us. Thank you
Description of Work: We contacted several local moving companies for a simple one bedroom apartment move. Aaron quoted us an hourly rate (first mistake, always get flat) and we chose them. They were supposed to pack, load and unload us from an apartment to a house 6 miles away

They packed up my home in Dallas, moved me, and unpacked my home in Austin. I had several quotes from companies, and I chose Aaron's because they showed up on time and seemed professional. They were cheaper than other bids I received. I did think it was odd, though, that they did not take a deposit down to secure my move date. They came when they said they were going to come. There were three men to pack my home. They were nice people, but they took way too long to pack, and one specifically was very distracted. They were complaining how much stuff we had for them to pack, and I heard them talking about my things. I felt like I was paying them to do this, and they should not have been complaining. Then I overhead them blaming the guy who gave me my estimate for not giving them enough boxes. It was supposed to take 1 day to pack, and it ended up taking a day-and-a-half. On the second day, it was the loaders - not packers - that showed up. One of the men had a child at my home with them. It was so unprofessional. At that point, the complaining continued, as they turned the blame on the people who came the first day. It seemed like only one of the guys knew how to safely pack my kitchen dishes, which some ended up getting broken. They were not prepared; they used my personal scissors, bubble wrap, etc. The company only had paper to pack my breakables. The entire packing process was a disaster. Even my furniture was not protected, so I have scratches on almost all of my furniture. Luckily, my glass pieces were wrapped and did not break. I got so stressed out that I got sick. Upon arrival at my new home, we paid the entire unload fee, even though they did not unpack my things. What they did unpack was just left as a mess in my new home. I have two young kids, and they did a poor job putting their beds back together. Nothing was organized. They hooked up my appliances incorrectly, and furniture was not put together properly. They even used - and took with them - my husbands tool. We have since filled out a claim form, which we had to call to request. They wanted such specifics, that I had to take time to call each furniture store to get the weight, value, and cost that we paid for our items. We had 90 days to complete this. Our total damages were over $700. I was told that they usually make an offer if the damages exceeds $100. We post-marked our claim form days before it was due. We were told that it will take 90 days or less to hear from them. Yesterday I called the company, and they said they never received my form. I was told that since it was past 90 days, I was essentially left on my own without any help from them. We have learned from our mistakes in hiring this company and the mess that was created after our move. I am angry and will never use this company again. I don't want anyone to go through this like I have. This company also goes by "Aaron's Movers".

They arrived and began loading my things. Two of the three men were extremely professional and courteous. The third was nosy, talkative and arrogant. He even asked to go through some things I had set aside for a donation. When we arrived in Wichita falls and they unloaded my things things were going pretty smoothly until I notice that my brand new leather ($1500) recliner was damaged. The leather was rubbed in one spot on the arm almost worn into a hole. The first man and who seemed to be the leader of the bunch took a picture and apologized. He advised me to make a claim but insisted he was unaware how it happened. I feel like something was placed on top of him and it was vibrating and rubbing the entire three hour drive. I proceeded to tend to the claim as mentioned by the mover. Two weeks went by and nothing. So I called. The claim personnel told me they had not received anything. So finally I did receive a notice from them. They offered me $100. The chair was 1 month old and costs $1500. That was laughable. I responded that it was not sufficient. To this day NO REPARATIONS have been made by this company. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR FURNITURE AND NOT CARE IF THEY DO SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
