Bragg’s Appliance Service, Inc. did an amazing job, 5 STARS! I had issues with my ice machine. I contacted Laura at Bragg Appliance Service, Inc. She sent out a repair technician - Adam, who reviewed the issues and ordered the parts needed (he was on time, super nice and very knowledgeable technician). It took a while for the parts to come in due to supply chain problems. Laura kept me update on all the issues on getting the parts. Parts came in and they came out and fixed everything. The ice machine is now working great. Awesome job! Bragg Appliance Service, Inc. is a great group to work with and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Bragg Appliance Service, Inc. for all your appliance repairs.

Braggs came out because my protection plan sent them out for our washer. The technician that came out was so knowledgeable, courteous, and on time. I am not having a great experience with the protection plan, but Bragg's was great. I really would like to thank Laura for all that she has done for me. I now know if I don't have a protection plan who I would hire. I also told Home Depot my wonderful experience with their company. Long story short the protection plan gave me a run around, so now Home Depot is taking care of me. They also switched their protection plan to Allstate because of the previous protection plan being a scam.

It is sad when Bragg's Appliance Service gives you a whole 2 hour window for service and still misses the mark with being on time. I took off two hours of work only for them to not show and not give me a heads up that they would be late. I had to call their office and let them know that they had missed their appointment because they were unaware. Upon realizing, the woman on the phone did not seem phased by the fact that this was a huge inconvenience for me and told me the technician would be there a whole 3 hours late. I kindly asked if there were any discounts when entirely missing an appointment and she acted surprised that I would have even asked. I really hope Bragg's learns how to be more efficient and provide at least mildly sufficient customer service in the future.

I have to say that Laura was very professional and responded to my concerns very quickly. The service techs Windell and Josh we knowledgeable, courteous, and were able to correct the problem in my dryer. They went the extra mile by showing me that my dryer had accumulated lint inside and pose a fire hazard. The took a shop vac to it and clean the dryer aside from correcting the grinding noise it was making. I am very impressed and thankful for their service and professionalism.

First visit: Braggs repairman diagnosed the problem, but had to order a compressor. Second visit: Braggs repairman discovered that he had not ordered all of the correct parts. Third visit: Braggs repairman installed new compressor. Overall, I went 1 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator. The compressor made a lot of noise so I complained to the appliance dealer and manufacturer. The dealer sent out a repairman from a different company and he said that compressor was not installed correctly. There was air in refrigerant lines, insufficient refrigerant, and the compressor was running very hot. I had complained about the noise to the Braggs repairman while he was still at my house, but he said the noise was normal. The second repairman told me that the refrigerator might make the noise from time to time, but it was definitely not normal. Now I am still waiting for Braggs to fix the problem for good. It's been close to a month and I still do not have a properly functioning refrigerator. I would not recommend Braggs Appliance Service if you want service performed correctly the first time.
Description of Work: Attempted to perform warranty service on a new refrigerator which entailed replacing the compressor.

We appreciate your comments and concerns about the repair on the refrigerator. Part of the delay in returning to repair was awaiting parts that were not readily available locally through the parts distributor. Secondly, when a seal system repair is performed, a restriction can occur in the refrigerant lines and thus require some parts to be replaced again. Our foremost intention is for any repair for our customers to go smoothly and in your situation that did not occur. We apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may have caused to you as a valued customer.

We first had cooling issues with our Kitchen Aid fridge two years ago. Considered replacing it, but Braggs told us then that the repairs they would make "should last you around ten years." They did the work, and we gave them a good review on this site. Now, two years later, we have cooling issues again, and the same parts need replacing. Braggs told us the labor cost to fix it again would be $1,500, because "it will take two guys much of the day." Thus, we agreed. Today they came out to do the repair. One of the two guys partially blocked our neighbor's driveway when he parked. Both guys were nice, but it was frustrating when one of them looked at the repair done two years ago and commented, "this wasn't someone's best work." Even worse, the job that we agreed to pay $1,500 in labor for because "it will take two guys much of the day" actually took less than two and a half hours (one guy was actually there around two hours). This short time included a discussion between them regarding how one of them should set up e-mail (or text) on their iPhone. When I called to express my frustration over the labor cost, Laura politely (but directly) told me that they would not adjust the labor cost, notwithstanding the circumstances and the relatively minimal amount of time it took them to do the work. Bottom line is that I would recommend using another company if possible.

Thank you and I appreciate your comments. The cost of this repair is very expensive. We are always upfront about the cost of the repair because a lot goes into this repair. The normal amount of time for this repair is 3-4 hours and requires 2 men. Unfortunately, this is a job rate that we cannot discount. We do appreciate that you took the time to call and discuss your frustration with the cost and respect your opinion.

We just bought a new home with brand new appliances (Electrolux) and they are HORRIBLY UNRELIABLE APPLIANCES. Fortunately, Electrolux pointed us to Bragg's for service. They have been AMAZING to work with. While it took some trial and error replacing various parts on both the (leaking) refrigerator and (leaking) dishwasher, they got the job done. Laura (office staff) is a pleasure to work with. She always does what she says, and follows-up like a professional. Robert (repairman) is equally fantastic. Arranges a time that works for you, calls ahead to let you know he's on the way, shows up on time, and gets the job done! What more could you ask for! We had another repairman come to the house from Braggs.....sorry, can't remember his name, but he was just as good. Great job, and thanks!!

I called Whirlpool and they recommended Braggs and scheduled a service call. Unfortunately it was four days after my call. When the technician arrived, it took five minutes for him to diagnose the issue (leak needing almost a full overhaul of the unit). The parts were under warrantly, but the cost for labor alone was $1,500 (2 people for 2-3 hours). I thought they would fix the unit that day, but they had to schedule another appointment to fix the unit. The technician said someone would call to schedule an appointment and he left (without leaving a business card, which I asked for, or an invoice indicating he had stopped by). Most service companies will schedule the next visit while they are on site at your home, and all repair companies I've dealt with in the past have left business cards or at least an invoice indicating the diagnosis of the issue. Four hours later I had not heard from the office, so I called them. They lady I spoke to was very nice and indicated she was trying to find a time to schedule it. So I guess she was working on it. The earliest they could come was a week later. So two weeks total time without my fridge - yikes! The positive experience is the work they perform and their timeliness and communication of when they will arrive. The technician called both days prior to the appointment and told me an exact time (not a window) that he would arrive, and he always arrived on time. Very impressed by this. In addition, the technician clearly knew his repair work and they did an excellent job. The unit is fixed and Iand quot;ve had not issues since (about two weeks ago). So for the actual repair work, timeliness of arrival, and communication of when he would arrive, I give the company high marks. I was surprised by the price of the labor - $1,500 for two people for 2-3 hours is at the least $250 per hour per person, which seems rather high for a home repair job. When I questioned this rate, I was told and quot;it is a flat fee for the repairand quot;. I appreciate the flat fee concept, rather than hourly work, but the price still seemed high to me. I did not obtain other quotes, so this may be competitive, but I don't know. Also, they charged me the trip charge of $75 for the first visit to diagnose the problem. Seems that since I spent $1,500 for the repair, they could have waived the first trip charge. Overall, I'm very pleased with the repair work, just a few minor irritations regarding the wait of the repair, and surprised by the labor costs.

Description of Work: Robert evaluated the problem on the first visit, determined our bottom oven door needed new springs. He explained he would order the parts and return as soon as possible. Within two days and within a two hour time frame, he removed the bottom oven door, removed all broken parts and installed the new screws. We now have a door that closes and are able to use our oven cleaner for both ovens. I highly recommend this company even though Ennis is a long distance from Richardson and would definitely ask for Robert.

As Aove******** After purchasing a $950+ microwave from Sear's "The Great Indoors", I called into Sear's servie to have the unit serviced. There was a large steam leak between the front glass and the inside glass. Sear's refused to send anyone to my house, saying that it was "normal." We had to call Whirlpool directly, eventually, and they sent Bragg's to my house for warranty service on a microwave. The warranty period on the microwave had almost expired. After checking out the microwave, the repairman determined that we needed a new gasket around the front door, as well as a new front glass. After telling me that they would have to order the parts, Bragg's said it would take 10 days. That was over a month ago. Now, the microwave is out of the warranty period. The repairman left without providing us any proof they were here. To date, they have not returned our phone calls or came back to repair the unit. What a royal RIP OFF!
