 + -1 moreIt went great, after a small problem at the start. I had decided to hire a contractor, that I thought could do the job, and I would be there to work side by side with him. After one day, I realized that it wasnt going to work( he portrayed himself off as a finish carpenter , but turned out to be a framer at best!! When a couple of the guys at Hootens heard of my dilemma they put me in contact with a carpenter that was so good , that we ended doing more work
Description of Work: kirk reams is the best store manager ever!!!!!!!! very concerned that i get the best price around'" of course The staff is always at their part of the stoe, be it paint, tools,lumber or the many other sections of the store.It is a rather large store in a small town, and as they "know everybody" in town the staff will ask about your project and offer you some very helpfull advise! Love going there

 + -1 moreHooten's Hardware saves me time and money from having to drive a round trip of 60 miles to Lowe's or Home Depot. So far everything I need they carry. Staff is very helpful and have helped save me money through the years.

 + -1 moreTheir selection rivals and on some items exceeds the big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot, although their prices are a little higher. Finding an employee to help customers is their biggest downside. On the plus side they carry a fair selection of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. There is also a Radio Shack inside, which is handy.

 + 10 moreTheir selection is rather small. Many items are not stocked, but can be ordered. Employees are available, friendly, and fairly knowledgeable. They carry some items, including office supplies, that are not usually found at Radio Shack stores.
