We had been storing from friends' goods in our garage, because they couldn't move it into their apartment. They moved all of the stuff from our garage to two separate apartments on a day when it was 104 degrees. However, they were quite late, and we had to call them up and chase them a bit. That was because the previous client hadn't packed before they moved, so I suppose that was outside of their control. Still, we had a minor crisis because of it. The price was really cheap compared to the amount of work they had to do in the hot sun.

Both moves that I made with Marvin were terrific. Both were quicker, smoother and less expensive than what I have paid elsewhere. Rather than discuss details of the move itself, I believe that what happened after the move tells volumes. The bottom shelf of a glass tag re broke in Marvin's truck. Marvin apparently didn't give it enough protection and the vibration on MoPac was too much for it. Marvin felt horrible about it and argued in vain that I not pay anything for the 4 1/2 hr move. He also insisted on buying us a new tag re which is very expensive or at least buying us a new shelf. I told him to forget it because, frankly, the piece looked fine without the bottom shelf. But Marvin took that broken shelf and managed to find a glass maker who could make it from scratch. Two weeks later Marvin drove up to my house with the shelf, installed it and thanked me for helping to relieve his guilt. Marvin is a gem.
